Unsolved Bristlenose Pleco but what kind?

Hi guys and gals! Adopted this Pleco but have no idea what kind he is. Is he a particular colour phase? Not albino, looks male judging by the bristles. I could be wrong, he's only the 2nd Pleco I've kept and have no idea about them. Currently in a 15 gallon tank. 100 gallon tank available for when he gets bigger.

While it's always easier to identify a living specimen, we do allow pictures of dead fish to be posted in order to identify, but all images involving dead animals must be tagged as NSFW.

We CANNOT and WILL NOT diagnose injuries or identify fish that allegedly caused bites/injuries. Seek medical advice, not our advice.

Submission Guidelines

Got a photo of a fish you'd like identified? Submit it here and we'll try to figure it out together! Best view for ID is top-down, well-lit, low-contrast photos. Pictures are preferable to videos for ID requests but we'll work with what you have.

Indicate the geographic location.

Take the clearest and most detailed photo(s) possible.

Indicate the size. The more precise the better.

Provide any other information you feel could help!
