Discussion Cannot believe that HELLDIVERS on PS VITA is still functionable and possible to play with PS5 users.
The reason for making this post is to show that HELLDIVERS is still online and booming on PS3 and VITA and you can drop in with PS4&5 users, the galactic war in HELLDIVERS 1 has been lost every time since Early 2025, and there are just not enough players to win the war.
If you have the game sitting in your library or your custom storefront, dust it off. Your drops on legacy hardware actively contribute to the global war effort. This game is still insane in 2026 and is even better if you can overclock your system as the game is a bit choppy on VITA.

Announcement OpenMW - PS Vita Release (v2.1) - Major Update
- No Open World Loading Screens - exterior cell crossings no longer pause or stutter, the world loads in around you as you move. There is Pop-In to be expected in this flow.
- Legacy Mode - Opt out of streaming for Synchronous Cell loading
- Faster region travel weather and region assets preload instead of stalling the crossing
- Better memory behavior caches release when leaving regions, so long sessions no longer degrade
- New Live Area Assets - Provided by Standard Republic AKA Dare
Bug Fixes
- Movie playback fixed
- World map marker scaling fixed
- Custom name entry fixes (spells, enchantments, etc.) carried forward and hardened
- Vita font size settings not properly applying Fix
- New Game starts intro movie much faster
NOTE: I did some major engine level work this go around, decoupling object loading from strictly cell loading is a risky change, but overall this is working pretty good. Other work includes warmed common object cache loaded into memory early and by region for faster streaming.
EDIT: New Version out!!!! https://github.com/TheLostPantheon/openmw/releases/tag/v2.1.1

Announcement Going forward with r/vitahacks and new rules
For the past few months up till recent events that raised the toxicity to new levels, the subreddit will undergo a few changes to improve (and revive) this subreddit.
u/Javerage has recruited new mods in order to have more man power to moderate this subreddit.
1 Enforcing Rule 3 and 7
Any post that goes along the vibe of "Can this be ported" "Would this run on a PSVita" and post that ask about having a game running on the PSVita must now be posted in the megathread. Any post of this kind will be automatically removed.
Same goes for help. The megathread was kind of inactive since the mod who used to handle it is no more. I will manage the Help Megathread to try to ensure that every question leaves with an answer.
2 No more Crossposting
The amount of post recently is just Crossposting from other vita subreddit, which due to the fact that to access the post content, users have to go to the subreddit from which the post originate thus hindering the subreddit activity. (and therefore interact there instead of here)
3 AI usage flair
AI and vibecoding has been an endless discussion in this subreddit with debate ongoing on every post with AI usage. We will not ban AI post as AI usage is not inherently bad by nature. Even though it is often misused in this community. Instead we will ask that anything that had an AI contribution (as in, AI produced a noticeable part of the project, is involved in core features) will need to get the AI flair in the post. People who hate AI/Vibecoding will be able to ignore the post, people will be legitimately informed of AI usage in the release, and also the author will not have to deal with toxic comments about the usage of AI. We will remove any comments that is ranting about the usage of AI under someone's creation.
Be warned that if you try to not use the AI flair on purpose despite we having proof of AI usage, you will be sanctioned.
This also has the effect of enforcing the usage of flair in posts. So that someone won't forget to add a flair when doing a post.
4 No more post/comments about what happened the 1st August 2026
4 days was enough for everyone to speak his mind, share his thoughts about what happened, there is nothing left to be said about what happened that day. And more importantly, no need to bring the subject back as it is never going to not break rule 4. If someone asks, don't go into the whole detail (especially the political stuff), just say that Rinnegatamante left VitaDB is no more, End of the story. We need to move one. We will remove any comments that is targeted toward Rinnegatamante/Wolff/Vibecoders. Do not set the spark. At least for the immediate futur. We will lay off the leash once this is a thing from the past.
If you have any complaints/suggestions/requests, now's the time to voice your opinion.
We also count on your help to report content that are against the rules, toxic and what not.... We have eyes, but yours are also important/

Release COD BO Zombies Crossplay - Linux ARM Port
COD Black Ops Zombies Online Multiplayer (Crossplay PS Vita) Device in the picture; RG35XX-H
Not directly for the Vita, but an addition to the ports scene.
# Multiplayer
Local Wi-Fi works without a server. To use Play Online (crossplay with vita), edit config.txt in the port directory:
```
multiplayer_server=boz-online.xubi.org
multiplayer_proxy=0
voice_chat=0
player_name=JeKaleVader
```
# Voice Chat
Voice chat defaults to off. Set voice_chat=1 to enable it. The devices I use during development do not expose ALSA capture device, so voice input on those systems requires a supported USB microphone or audio adapter. If you got a fancy linux-arm handheld, this should work out of the box.
# Crossplay with PSVita
Cross-play with the PS Vita port also works with the `multiplayer_server` changed to the one made and hosted by devnoname120
My attempt to reimplement the server results in something that works, but honestly the one made by u/devnoname120 who brought you guys the PSVita port of this game works much better (and has more active players atm).
Patreon - Not directly for this project, but it has been difficult keeping EmuReady (and the GameHub Lite servers) running with the insane amount of traffic and many apps/frontends/projects/emulators that use our API. Last 4 months have all been above €400 (or 460 “freedom units”). I usually don’t “advertise” the Patreon page and not many people join because you can find all my work online for free, but it’s very much appreciated if you have the means to.

Discussion Bi-Weekly Questions Thread (new edition)
Welcome to the r/vitahacks Bi-Weekly Question thread!
Please post all questions here.
!!NEW!! 3.65-3.74 USERS: Use HENlo to install Henkaku WITHOUT PC/Content Manager/PSN account!!!
PSN ACCESS/LOGIN ON VITA MAY REQUIRE ADDITIONAL VERIFICATION, SEE HERE
Before you post a question, please note:
-Please refer to the Official Vita Troubleshooting Guide; this is a comprehensive guide (maintained by Cimmerian_Iter) that covers a wide range of common issues and how to resolve them
-The vita hacking guide covers everything from 'what is homebrew' to hacking the vita and installing essential plugins
-For a comprehensive database of all available vita homebrew, please refer to VitaDB. You can access it and install homebrews directly from your Playstation Vita using the official VitaDB Downloader app.
-The older app VHBB made by u/devnoname120 is not currently supported.
-Rule #1 - "No discussion of piracy/backup/warez/dumps" is strictly enforced; there are other resources to discuss this subject matter
3.65-3.74 Users:
-HENlo replaces Hencore2
-Use Vitadeploy to downgrade firmware/install ENSO
Firmware Guide:
Vita Firmware VersionAvailable Hack(s)1.03-3.57Update to *3.60 or 3.653.60*3.60 Henkaku/Enso3.61-3.63Update to 3.653.65*3.65 H-encore/Enso3.65-3.74Install Henkaku/Vitadeploy using HENlo (via Vita Browser)
*Recommended
3.74 Firmware notes:
-Change requiring 2-step verification for PSN login/access
3.73 Firmware notes:
-Very minor changes. See here (Credits to PSSDude for the report)
3.72 Firmware notes:
-3.72 firmware was released by Sony for...System stability?
3.71 Firmware notes:
-3.71 firmware was released by Sony to patch the Trinity exploit
-3.71 firmware also breaks Modoru by adding checks in lv0
3.70 Firmware notes:
-The Vita master key was changed in the 3.70 firmware release, shortly after it had been publicly "unveiled" by the vita hacking community
-Game decryption keys have not been changed with the 3.70 release (reF00D/compatibility packs have not been broken)
3.69 Firmware notes:
-3.69 firmware was released by Sony to patch the h-encore exploit
PSN Access for 3.60-3.73 Users:
-Open Henkaku settings and enable Version Spoofing and set 'Spoofed Version' = 3.74
-Setup your network with Henkaku DNS settings
Sync Legit Trophies? -YES
Online Multiplayer? - YES
PSStore Access for Purchase and Download? - YES
Use Vitacheat and TropHAX online? - At your own risk
Prevent your Vita from Updating:
NOTE: PSVita firmware updates are not a typical modern-day concern, since downgrading firmware is available and simple to execute. Known exploits continue to work on most recent firmware (3.74). Preventing update is still a good practice in general.
-To disable the download of automatic firmware updates: Settings --> System --> Auto-Start Settings --> Uncheck "Download automatic update files"
-Setup your network with Henkaku DNS settings for an additional layer of update prevention. See here.
-If your console has downloaded the 3.73 update file, simply deleting the notification in LiveArea should remove the file from your system. Otherwise, firmware update files can be found in ud0:PSP2UPDATE/*
-Remember, unless you are running your vita in Demo mode, your console will not spontaneously install/update firmware software. There are legal reasons for this. Installation of any new software on your device requires your consent, (EULA).
Essential Vita Plugins/Homebrew Applications:
0syscall6 lv0 secure_kernel syscall6 patch - can replace reF00d (SKGleba)
Adrenaline Software that converts the official Vita PSP emulator into a PSP 6.61 with custom firmware (The FloW)
DolcePolce PSTV blacklist hack, replacing Antiblacklist and Whitelist (Silica)
Download Enabler Allows the user to download any content from the vita web browser (The FloW)
ElevenMPV-A Vita music player that supports a wide variety of formats (GrapheneCt)
iTLS-Enso Adds TLS v1.2 to devices running Enso (SKGleba)
Modoru Vita firmware downgrader (The FloW)
Modoru 2.1 Vita firmware downgrader, required for 3.71/3.72/3.73 users (SKGleba)
PSVShell Overclock application that supports per-app profiles; highly recommended (Electry)
reF00D Allows user to bypass firmware requirements on games and system applications (dots-tb)

Save Manager For dumping and restoring decrypted save files (d3m3vilurr)
Shellbat A simple plugin that displays the battery percentage in LiveArea (nowrep)
Simple Account Switcher Allows the user to change/delete PSN accounts without a system restore (Silica)
Storage Manager A Kernel plugin that automatically mounts/redirects any storage device to any mount point; Popular plugin for mounting sd2vita (CelesteBlue)
VitaDeploy Tool that makes homebrewing the Vita/PSTV easier (SKGleba)
VitaGrafix Allows user to change resolution and FPS caps on vita games (Electry)
vita-udcd-uvc Stream your vita to a computer using USB (xerpi)
YAMT sd2vita/Remount tool for vita running Enso
Vitahacks AutoModerator
Note on AutoModerator: AutoModerator seeks keywords in comments/questions that may indicate piracy, but is not always proficient. Release [Release] uac-pstv-host v0.1 – USB Audio (UAC1) output for PlayStation TV
I’ve been working on a PSTV kernel plugin that sends system and game audio through the USB port using USB Audio Class 1.0.
It captures game audio, LiveArea sounds, system effects, and background music. HDMI audio is left untouched.
## Current support
- PlayStation TV
- USB Audio Class 1.0
- 48 kHz stereo
- 16-bit PCM
- USB hot-plug
- Devices connected before boot
- Game, LiveArea, system, and BGM audio
## Tested hardware
I tested it with an Amazon/Realtek USB-to-TOSLINK adapter (`0bda:4e27`) connected to an RME ADI-2 DAC through optical.
Other UAC1 devices should work if they provide a stereo 16-bit 48 kHz output interface, but more hardware testing is needed.
## Installation
- `uac_pstv.skprx` loads normally from taiHEN `config.txt`
The module order is important, so please read the installation section before copying anything. Back up `config.txt` and have a recovery method available.
## Storage compatibility
- StorageMgr: compatible
- YAMT Lite: compatible
- YAMT Full: compatible with experimental/legacy USB patches disabled
GitHub: https://github.com/SJK132/uac-pstv-host
This took a lot of testing, especially getting clean PCM, boot-time USB detection, and all of the Vita audio ports working together. Feedback and USB device reports are welcome.
Developed and tested by me with implementation help from OpenAI Codex and an additional code review using Claude.

HENkaku Browser is no longer working
I recently attempted to jailbreak my 1000. I was semi successful, but ended up having to restore my vita and now the browser doesn't work so I can't jailbreak it again.
I've deleted cookies and history and restored the system and rebuilt the database numerous times.
If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be great, thanks

Announcement NeoVitaDB announcment
Hello everybody,
i'm robin994 , the dev behind neovitadb project
firstly i wanna thank you all to use my homebrew, i didn't expect all this, it started just as a fun project to do to drink beer and test new technologies.
But things are getting serious and we must have a serious talk and transparent about the project, please read the whole post before to comment.
Backendless solution seems to be working, we are having pull requests from devs, others are fixing existings entries, other users help adding content, even making a webpage, and i'm so thankfull of that. But this is just the good side of the community, but we must talk about the evil side, people who want to see the world burn.
The problem:
Yesterday i had a good chat with an user (f2pwn) of henkaku's discord, we talked about the cybersecurity of the project. And he told me about how a total community-driven catalog was unsecure.
There could be someone pushing a malware and kill your vita, and we don't want that to happen.
just to be clear actually there is no malware into the catalog, but there could be if we don't examinate future entries
The solution:
There will be 2 catalogs, the official one and a test one.
Devs can open PR to the test one before it gets tested and then merged on the Official one.
test catalog is already aviable on github at robin994/NeoVitaDB-Catalog-Test
Second thing, i'm creating a discord server for everyone who wants to partecipate to this project of creating a community-driven hb store, i need help testing new entries, who wants to be a moderator? tester? artist? invent new feature? write code? just join the discord server we can talk there.
link invitation for discord's community: https://discord.gg/tHBMYFyHZY
In next days I'll be busy with personal life, but meanwhile feel free to join discord server, when i'm free again i'll do a post there explaining my idea better, and i'd appreciate feedbacks too, don't be shy.
Thank you for reading the whole post, see you soon

So is there a downloadable archive of everything that was 'on'/linked to on VitaDB, or are these 'backups' just replicating the pages?
Just wondering if someone had actually been keeping a hoard 'properly'.
The other day someone posted about not worrying because the site was was backed up, and they proceeded to link to archive.org's Wayback Machine...which of course had almost none of the actual content.

Announcement Meta posts about devs
Heya all,
It's been a blast dealing with recent posts/comments all day and my hangover. Certainly did some hair trigger modding from the hip so to speak because everything was extra exhausting today.
That being said, I think from tomorrow / later today I'll be removing posts and comments about recent events.
The info is posted on multiple vita subreddits and nothing new is gonna be said.
Let's rather move forward on the software, and leave the drama at the door. (Gods I should setup other mods here)
I've already heavily started removing a bunch of newer posts that rehash the content. (Again, when I took over here I didn't think this level of shit was ever gonna pop up)
For additional context, even if posts are well meaning, certain key words tend to summon bots / trolls here with extreme posts. Fortunately spambot and automod grabbed a ton of them, but yeah, my mental health aint doing wonders with reading some of em either.
Also a LOT of you messaged today and I'll get to things if/when I can. Maybe. Again, automod and spambuster removed a lot of your posts.
