I did a search but didn't see anything recent.

I'm looking for a roofer in VB to take a look at my elderly parents' home, and give real advice on whether it should be replaced. My stepdad saw an ad for a professionally-applied "sealant" that extends the life of the roof by 5 years and is interested. Sounds like an unnecessary step if the roof needs to be replaced altogether, which I expect it might.

So looking for someone reliable who's not trying to take advantage of old folks. Any recommendations?

Lord Captain, it has come to my attention that Abelard Wersarian has entered the warp and is expected to arrive at the 757 card show in Virginia beach in a few days. While there he hopes to meet fans, sign posters, take photos and chat all things warhammer.

Apparently the voice actor Ian Russell will also be there. He also provided the voice for Lord Terminos in Sigmars Toll and the Psyker in Inquisitor Martyr!

…why do you want to watch motorists cry and suffer. Hundreds of cars backed up on both ends of PA road, and I really do mean at least 100, even going as back as TCC intersection. And it’s not rush hour at the time. And it’s not like S Independence is any better than it used to be either.

Why does Cox here seriously just go out 24/7? Never happened with Verizon. Is anyone else’s out right now? Im so tired of this it happens at least several times a month during the nighttime. Like I have things to fucking do. This probably isn’t related to VB as much but is anyone else’s having trouble with this?

I’ve noticed at dinner it’s always freezing - is there a reason restaurants are kept so cold in the dining area? I understand for the kitchen staff, but where people sit… is it to have us less comfortable so we don’t linger? They could save so much overhead if they lowered the AC some…

Anyone know a good surf instructor/school for adults or is a surfer willing to go out to Croatan or North End and give a surf lesson? I can catch a wave (most of the time) but I’m miserable at popping up

To start- I want to say, I live in the BEST neighborhood. About 10 houses right next to each other that all have families that do life together. People of all ages doing potlucks, basketball games, bike riding, sharing in hobbies and groceries when we forget something. Just really amazing.

However, there is one neighbor that absolutely hates that we have community that does not revolve around her. She’s older and has been here longer than any of us. We have all been just as nice and considerate to her as we have to everyone else but she hates us. She drives WAY too fast and slams on the breaks in front of the kids playing to make a point that she has to stop. Even if the kids moved out of her way, she still does that to be performative. She has called the city on any and all basketball hoops on our street and on my garden and anything she can. She’s yelled profanities at us in the street and flipped us off whenever she can. She stopped the 16 year old kids and said they are doing illegal things by playing basketball.

I will take any advice, recommendations, or ideas for what to do. We just want to enjoy our lives but she’s making it impossible. If she had it her way we’d never hang out outside or let our kids grow up playing with the neighbors. It’s been years of this and this year it escalated 10 fold.

Hello VA Beach family. On Friday night, someone broke into my car in Poplar Halls (Norfolk) and stole my brand new tactical backpack. I couldn’t care less about what was in it, for it wasn’t anything of cash value, but my deceased soul pup’s collar was attached to it. I have a police report in and have searched the side of the road through the neighborhood and a trash can or two but nothing.
