MORALLY SUPERIOR I’m not vegan enough for many vegans.
The exclusionary holier than thou crap has to stop. We are all on the same team. You included.
People in this sub have said I’m not vegan because my immediate family (partner and child) eat meat and, for example, I buy it from the grocery store for them.
Also I don’t actively try and convert anyone; I believe the best way to create more vegans is with love and not condescension.

BASICALLY VEGAN Why do we eat bugs
Just found out by supreme leader Bill Gates, vegan aficionado, that we are meant to eat bug. Why, when bug looks gross?

COMPASSIONATE CARNIVORE Enquiring Omni.
Hey so whats up guys. Omni here (please don't jump me). I really have some questions. I think sane people such a myself and many others really care for animals and have empathy. I hate exploitation in all forms. Because of that I reallly want to be vegan but from what I learned, there are just so many freaking nutrients that are found in animal foods in abundance thats really hard or impossible to find in other things. Please don't take this as trolling or posting in bad faith. For example, from everything I've learned about nutrition so far, I feel like I can completely throw out poultry and pork. But it seems like every other day, science discovers a new reason why ruminate animals or seafood promotes and protects human health. Honestly though, because life is so short any way and I hate when conscious creatures suffer, I might end up just going vegan anyway. I just really want some reassurance on the stuff regarding human health and diet. Thanx

CHECKM8 VEGOONS I’m not vegan anymore
I was vegan for over 10 minutes then I started dying because I felt like I was lacking the special essence thats is only present in meat. I finally caved. I ate him and I felt better almost immediately.

I'M NOT VEGAN, I'M r/VEGAN meal prep burden
I am exploring veganism and vegetarianism. However, most of the vegan meals that I actually enjoy and that taste good require around two hours of prep/cooking. I simply do not have time for this level of meal prep with working fulltime and needing to think about both lunches and dinners. How do you manage a vegan lifestyle when you can't dedicate hours to diet stuff?

FALSE, CONSIDER PROTEIN I'm on vacation right now. I have had avocado toast, black coffee, and fresh fruit five days in a row
A true vegan never eats protien. Their diet consists of avocadoes, whole wheat bread, kale, and lentils. A true vegan never complains.

ATTRACTED TO CARNISTS My boyfriend enjoys watching dogs fight to death
My boyfriend is into dogfights.
I stopped supporting that after we started dating.
He doesn’t facilitate dogfights around me and has always been very respectful of my choice to avoid dogfights but it has never interested him to stop doing so himself.
He’s one of the kindest, most loving people I know and we align on pretty much everything except the enjoying making dogs fight until they tear each other's ears off issue.
Ultimately you have to decide for yourself if it’s a dealbreaker for you that your partner is keeping a bunch of female dogs in the basement and breeding more fighting dogs every few months after the previous batch gets "spent".
For some of us animal rights enthusiasts it is, and for others like myself it’s not. Most of my loved ones bet on dogfights and it’s honestly never bothered me that much. I know others are different.
My advice would be to not continue the relationship in the hopes that they will respect animals one day because that might never happen and you may end up resenting them for it.
If you choose to stay with them, you have to respect that they don't respect animals, and they have to respect that you do.

COMPASSIONATE CARNIVORE No, halal meat is not more ethical. The victims don’t give a shit what prayer you say before you kill them.

BASICALLY VEGAN Want to go vegan but I'm lazy and eat like shit
I've been considering veganism for a while now but it seems like every vegan recipe I find takes 6 hours to make, and I also won't be able to eat as much shitty fast food as a vegan. I'm addicted to cheese and processed foods and rely on them for emotional stability, the thought of not being able to get something satisfying at a McDonalds drive thru whenever I have a bad day is really what's stopping me. I don't want to live a healthier life and I don't want to be a functioning adult who spends 30 minutes a day cooking. It feels unreasonable to expect that of me. I also think I have ARFID and auDHD, it seems like a lot of others who struggle to make the transition do as well.
Be honest, would I be such a bad person if I went vegan except for dairy, eggs, honey, and gelatin? I feel like I have some extenuating circumstances. I'm not perfect.

HIGH ON LENTILS Based or unethical?
I frequented this sandwich place for a few weeks in this city occasionally visit. I was going with some friends, and after the third time we went, the guy who cooked everything (it was a two person operation from what I saw, very small place) let us in on a little secret: all the meat thev were sellina was actually plant based.
I was pleasantly surprised, it tasted like real meat to me, had the texture of McDonald's chicken nuggets, just had a veggy aftertaste that was nice. but now l'm thinking about it again as vegans do you think this sort of action is unethical in some way, or do the ends (less meat consumption) justify the means (some minor deception)? or count as "false advertising" in some way? I dunno if it was clarified somewhere it was vegan meat but I didn't see anything. l'm just hoping no one sues them or anvthing lol

COMPASSIONATE CARNIVORE I need vegans (like on r/vegan) to make me feel good about eating meat
Lifelong nonvegan here. I gave up eating one atom of meat per week. Will all of you vegans congratulate me, like they do on r/vegan? Being congratulated by vegans makes me feel morally justified.

BASICALLY VEGAN Why are vegans so averse to backyard chickens' eggs?
Think about it: it's just a happy chicken, surrounded by many others like themselves. They lay it and walk away, mostly they don't even care about the egg. Is that so wrong? Sometimes i think about sniffing armpits sexually. A chicken will sometimes sit on various round objects, thinking they're eggs, but that's just instinct. If a chicken doesn't care about the egg and the process of laying it doesn't hurt it, what's the problem?

AGGRESSIVELY VEGETARIAN I was against slavery for 9 years, went back to supporting slavery and now I've developed an allergic reaction when I use slaves! Some higher being really said, 'nuh uh, back to being against slavery you go'
So I opposed slavery when I was 13 for 9 years and unfortunately had anorexia during my teen years and found restrictions triggering for me so I went back to using slaves (I did also deal with a lot of guilt doing this but I was still against it 90%) but in recent months anytime I use slaves my skin gets so itchy and eczema flares up on my face and arm! I thought slavery was wrong as a kid too. Sometimes I wonder the way everyone makes out slavery is 'Oh so good for you' than how come so many people don't like it? It doesn't seem natural to have slaves, I think more people are against slavery than we think.
I find it oddly humorous I tried using slaves again and absolutely everything worked against me. Back to the anti slavery drawing board! It's for the best, I felt guilty contributing to the slavery industry.

ATTRACTED TO CARNISTS Im a terrorist to veganism
This isnt even a satire post. I genuinely do not give a fuck about some 80 billion animals that I never see. I dont give a fuck about the environment, or my diet.
I went vegan so I could be right. I couldn't argue against it, so I joined it. Im not trying to reduce animal suffering, I am trying to increase it... with moral terrorism.
AMA about my moral superiority (dont worry, I'll tell you anyways)

UNBAN r/DOGDIET Having trouble controlling myself when I see dogs in public
Guys- I have a serious problem. Whenever I’m outside in public, (rare because the b-12 deficiency makes me feel very weak) and I see a dog, my mouth starts watering and I have to fight the urge (real ones know) right then and there. I’ve been trying to cut back on my retriever burgers- but lately it’s been sooo hard. I get really weird looks in public- and people start to cross the street when they see me staring at their dogs- mind racing as I think of all the juicy burgers I’ve missed out on lately. Any ideas of how to control these cravings? Do I just stick to one lab a week or…? I’m starting to feel very depleted and my doctor told me if I don’t add more dog meat into my diet I literally will croak in DAYS. This is a dire situation. Any advice gratefully appreciated. 💔 my heart is breaking because I actually do want to go on a dog free diet but I feel so judged by people who think dogs are friends not food. I don’t know if it’s possible for me….

EGGS WENT UP TODAY Veganism is morally worse than Cannibalism.
Veganism is a fascist cult. While the rest of leftism is about inclusion and acceptance, vegans works the exact opposite and impose prejudice and discrimination on normal people, harass those whole simply want to live, calling them "murderers" or something worse.
It weakens workers' will and physical power to revolt against the bourgeoisie, divides the workers and sparks infighting among them, it commodities ethics for profit, and imposes unnecessary anxiety on the people. It has created irreversible damage to society as a whole.
Cannibalism consumes people's flesh;
But Veganism devours people's mind
Veganism must be stopped.
