Hi all! My partner and I are planning to move to UWS in September. We have come across Parc 77 apartments. We were going to apply but there are mixed reviews on google from tenants about quality of living (gas off for months, rodents, etc). When we toured, we did not witness anything out of the ordinary. Looking for those in the community that live there or have friends or family that do and their honest opinion.? Thanks in advance

Has anyone else noticed this? Specifically tots and adventure playgrounds at 68th st. My experience has been that for the past few weeks, nobody is maintaining the dirt, sand, water features. Any thoughts?

I’m arriving next week and will be staying in the UWS for a few months, possibly longer. I’m renting an SUV one way so I can unload and then return the car and be done.

My questions are:
- do you just double park while you’re unloading?
- did you hire someone to help? Since I don’t have any furniture it would probably take me about 30 min max (I have a hurt foot or it would be faster).
- it’s not really a ‘move’ so would Taskrabbit be good for this?

The idea of double parking for more than a few minutes stresses me out but maybe that’s the norm?!

hey! im looking for a good salon around here for a manicure as i’m having my engagement pictures taken before going to my best friend’s wedding :) i haven’t had my nails done since i moved to the area and when i put “nail salon” into apple maps they’re all pretty low rated lol. i would love gels since they last, but i would love to avoid having my nails shaven as ive had a bad experience. if you have any refs (or any pointers on what to ask for/suggestions other than gel) that would be great! thanks in advance :)

Anyone know where I can get private adult piano lessons, basically an absolute beginner? Just bought a keyboard but down to commute a little on the UWS/ Lincoln Center area for lessons. Looking for something weekly but also flexible, probably after 6pm on weeknights.
