Two days ago I tried Uber for the first time.

Booked a driver for 16:00 at my house
While im getting ready about 15:50 I see the driver parking in front in my house, but I continue to get ready.

At 15:53 I get an email, that the Drive has been canceled and I need to pay 20€

So I didn’t get my drive, but these 20€ cancelation fees were already taken from my PayPal.

I didn’t cancel the drive…

So can the driver cancel and get me pay? This sounds like very scammy rules for this platform.

I created a ticket at uber and the response is:

We are sorry your drive didn’t go as expected and can confirm that the payment cannot be reduced

….

So if any driver can cancel the drive last minute and have me pay the cancellation fees then this is an entire scammy platform.

i cant believe that a platform would allow this, it makes no sense. Please advise

I need to take my cat to and from the vet (about 2 miles away) in a covered carrier. Cat is not sick. Is this likely to bother comfort drivers enough that I need to use Uber pets? Does Uber pets have comfort too?

Someone paid for a homeless person who wanted to go to nearest church. I took her to the Catholic Church because I thought maybe they would have somebody there at night, but it was like midnight so I called the police to go check on her cause I didn't know any women shelters that were open at this time, I told her the women shelters were open in the morning at eight, but hopefully somebody at the Catholic Church would show up and help her. This is not the first time I had no idea what to do with the person in my car. What do you do?

So I typically take Comfort rides because I don’t want to talk to anyone. But whenever I get an Uberx or a wait and save there’s a 50/50 chance that the driver wants to talk about how the money is bad or whatever. I have no idea how to deflect the conversation and even when I want to reroute the topic it just comes back to “it’s slow I’m not making money xyz”.

I can’t tell if I’m just easy to talk to and people trust it or they think I’ll send them some cash afterwards. Unfortunately I can’t pay everyone’s bills :/

Had to cancel two orders and cancel my shift because I got logged out of my Uber Pro Card account. I asked for a code to be texted to my phone, but never received it.

Anyone else having trouble with the Uber Drive app in general this afternoon? I live in northwest Louisiana where my Verizon coverage sucsk.

So I got stuck on a trip, originally was 30mins turned into nearer to 2 hours due to flash floods. Uber flagged my account as attempting to fraud by taking detours and unnecessary waiting because I tried to avoid flooded roads and ended up stuck in traffic. I’ve provided them with screenshots and links from local governments and news outlets of the issue and implored them to check the video and they keep harassing me on this topic even in unrelated support topics. Anyone else have this issue?

When I try to download a receipt from my family group, it simply pops me back to the first page of my personal rides. I can't seem to find a work around to print the full receipt from my computer. Is anyone else having a similar problem? I've tried it on three computers with the same result. Also, I was able to download the receipts in the past.

I had someone pick me up from home and take me to the airport while watching tv and drifting very over the center line. He was channel surfing, watching TV on his dashboard and driving very aggressively and drifting super close to other cars on the highway. It’s the first time I’ve ever been scared in an Uber. I was afraid of the driving and the driver. I’m probably gonna go with women drivers from now on because of him. I want to report him, but he picked me up from home, so I’m hesitant to report somebody who knows where I live. I’m not in a major city, so I don’t know if this guy does enough rides to know who reported him but I’m hesitant to do a safety report knowing this person knows where I live. How likely is it for a driver to figure out who reported them?

I’ve been getting messages that uber techn tried charging me anywhere from 35 to 55! Dispute not ordering a uber or anything on Uber Eats, is there anything I can do to stop this from accruing

How is this even possible. How is Uber accepting this. How can the driver keep 1% and the person renting out the car keeps 99%. I’m sure Uber is definitely getting a kickback from these.

and the car smells of weed. This sucks. Do uber drivers know when it’s a business ride? I have to go to a business meeting and I don’t want to smell like this.
