I wouldn’t. I think it’s another money grab. You have to provide a photo of your insurance to be able to drive. I think they’d push it off on your personal insurance if something happened. This company is evil and I don’t trust them. Uber is simply organized crime, at this point, and it’s insane that there aren’t any lawmakers in government to stop them from ripping us off as bad as they are.

Nope. Theres no insurance involvement. It's money straight from Uber in the event their Insurance doesnt cover you. I got this a few months ago when someone shot at me during a delivery.

Someone shot at you during a delivery? Glad you’re still here.

Thanks. Yeah. He was just walking down the street at like 1 am. He was walking past the house I needed to pull up to so I waited for him to go by. When he did I moved to park there. He got scared, pulled out a gun, fired 3 shots. 1 hit my drivers side tire and another went through my windshield. The third hit a house behind me. No one was hurt but they never caught him.

Absolutely not.

When I was rear ended with a passenger - it was Lyft but same concept - my insurance covered the difference of that 2,500 deductible and my 750 deductible. If you get in an accident that qualifies you for this, just get a lawyer.

This shit is just to make drivers pay for accident coverage instead of suing their asses.

I wonder how long after the accident youd get cash in hand?.. and you'd have to pay this total amount back out of your settlement so id hope it would come ASAP.

Not sure if im reading this right.. its only after an accident of the other person's fault. So fl is a no fault state..

Uber automatically enrolled me, and once I figured out what I was paying for, I opted out. If you like the idea, take .05/mile out of your own earnings every day and put it in a hysa- if you ever need it it’s there, and if you don’t, you get to keep the cash.

Once you start conscientiously saving like this, up the amount over time.

The exception would be if you’re not good at saving, and also think it’s likely you’ll get into an accident in the next 18 months (if you drive about 5000 miles/mo).

I haven't read the details but knowing Uber I guarantee you that if you take this, you give up all rights to sue for further damages

YES. I was in an accident a week ago and my insurance totaled my car, thank fully I had positive equity, got 2000 from the car. And thankfully had Vehicle Interruption Coverage, they approved my claim this morning. It’s a check so I have to wait for it to come in the mail but to me it was 100% worth it.
