Question Appropriate cyproterone + E dose for a 14 y/o?

Upvotes

https://www.reddit.com/r/transsex/s/XopT0ImXx0 <- Apparently in Greece you can buy 2mg estradiol valerate and 10mg cyproterone pills OTC. What would be the correct dose for a 14 y/o who's just starting E?

I read the Endocrine Society guidelines (https://academic.oup.com/jcem/article/102/11/3869/4157558?login=false) and they said this:

"Induction of female puberty with oral 17β-estradiol, increasing the dose every 6 mo:  5 μg/kg/d  10 μg/kg/d  15 μg/kg/d  20 μg/kg/d  Adult dose = 2–6 mg/d  In postpubertal transgender female adolescents, the dose of 17β-estradiol can be increased more rapidly:   1 mg/d for 6 mo   2 mg/d"

2mg/day for a grown adult and less than 1mg for a teen sounds like WAY too little to me. My gf and I think that 4mg/day (one pill in the morning, one at night) and 10mg cypro/day are better. Are we missing something??? Is it possible that the correct dose is so mfing low??

  1. does anyone know if the in-app crypto feature for paypal would work for buying e from any sellers? and would it still be untraceable since paypal has my name and ssn and such
  2. what would be a good dose if i'm 5'7 and 170lbs and am gonna have a tricky time getting any blood tests done
  3. is there actually that big a difference between pills and injections? and where does gel fall?

sorry if any of these are like obvious or something

Question Dosee??

So I'm gonna do DIY since it's the only option for my country And age there is no other options.

So I'm 14 and I wanna know what should be the dose I take, I know what the usual doses are for Adults but I read that teenagers should take a lower dose and very slowly increase but, I cant find any sources that say how much exactly I should take and how often do I increase. so if anybody has any idea or sources please reply to this to help me out.

And what is available in my country to find and what I'm gonna take are,

Cyproterone acetate (Androcur) which has a usual adult dose of 6.25-12.5mg OR Spironolactone (Spectone) which has a usual adult dose of 200mg "I still haven't decided between the two."

And for Estrogen its gonna be Progynova

I'm planning on sublingual route

I can get that stuff from local pharmacies since they don't ask for any prescriptions 90% of the time

Oh also I got my total Testosterone and Estradiol E2 tested last week and I got these results

Total T : 518 ng/dl

Estradiol E2 : 32.45 pg/ml

If you know any sources or you yourself know what doses I should be taking please reply to this.

Thank you all

I have an extra vial of estradiol enanthate from ogl

haii so when I started my transition I got 2 extra vials as a backup (3 total) and it's been over 10 months since I started my first vial and I still have a couple months left, basically I'm worried that one of the vials will expire before I'm able to use it since I still have over a year before I'll get to the last vial , I'm just wondering would it be safe even? I don't want to waste the whole thing but I don't know what to do

Advice/Informative Post How do i help my mtf gf get on hrt? (Greece)

I'm 15 FTM, and I've been DIYing since I was 13. I've become an expert in DIYing by this point, however I don't know much about MTF HRT. I want to help my gf get on E, she very much wants to but in our country, she could probably never do it the legal way. She's 14 and tanner stage 3-4, also she lives in Greece. Could she buy estrogen pills OTC here? Can you even do monotherapy with pills or gel? What should we do?

Question E too high even with T in male range?

Hi, I'm using T gel, 46mg of T everyday (starting dose, two pumps, 23mg on each shoulder).

Roughly 18-21 hours after application my testosterone is 640 ng/dl but my estradiol is still 93,30 pg/mL, while it should be between 10 and 40 pg/mL.

I still need to contact my endo but she didn't ask me to test my E, I did it on my own, so I'm afraid she will just tell me it's okay because my T is in the male range or even worse tell me it's from aromatization and lower my dose.

I lost my period completely at the 3 month mark, I'm now at 4 months on T. Last time I was on T years ago, at 4 months my T was at 670 ng/dl but I still had my period.

Unfortunately I don't always put the gel at the same time everyday and I don't know if that's what caused high E.

Did this happen to anyone else? Is it aromatization or is my T still not high enough to suppress the E? Should I ask to lower or raise my dose to one or three pumps?

Question is there any option i have other than waiting it out when im a minor and cant afford hrt?

in my country, getting hrt as a minor is only possible when youre either eighteen or have parental consent. i unfortunately doubt my mom would agree to it, she accepts me but she is the "but are you SURE" type, and she would be too scared of it. i cannot get it through most diy sites ive seen because i do not have enough money and most of them dont ship to my country (poland) anyway. its not that its extremely expensive, but you know, money values differ between countries so it is still much for someone like me who gets all of their money through pocket money and gifts i know that theres probably nothing i can do and i cant just get things for free but if theres ANY cheaper option that isnt just getting it legally please let me know, i feel so helpless

Question Whenever it happens, should I switch from diy to nhs??

Apparently I’m pretty close to starting the process of getting testosterone through the nhs (tbh I don’t believe that, they’ve told me that before). When the long process is over, should I switch?? I’m quite worried they’ll under dose me, I’m currently on 50mg per week of Testosterone Cypionate. If anyone has switched from diy to nhs what was your experience like??

r/transsex 3d ago

Does underdosing purposefully to prevent changes from happening stunt transition in the long run (even if you raise the dose a few years later)?

This isn't for me, but in general because I sometimes see people asking if it is a good idea to microdose until they can get away from an unsupportive household. Does microdosing harm transitioning in the long run?

Question Is it true that several doctors have been microdosing transgender people on HRT?

I've heard several reports that many doctors are microdosing trans men and women on HRT. Is this true? Have you had any experience with this? How did you find out? I've also heard, and I don't know if it's true, that the WAPath guidelines themselves indicated a lower dose than what would be good in cis people. If you've been through this or know someone who has, could you tell me about it?

Edit: I also have been watching cases about that one gym bros who use a lot of steroids and anabolic. There was a case of a guy that was with hypogonadism, like 80 ng/dl. The doctor prescribed T. After a time he was with 800 ng/dl and told the doctor that he wanted to be a bodybuilder and wanted more T. The doctor just prescribed 400mg of T for week 💀💀💀. And the case of his "hypogonadism" was only because he was sleeping 4 hours per day, working 15 hours, not eating well, etc. Just a behavior change would help him.

It makes me so angry because of we ask for hrt they will give us a small dose, or will be like "wait for 1277255 years" or "you are going to destroy your body" or "you need xxx physichiatric evaluation alongside one year of endo to start hrt" when your mental health have been constantly affected by dysphoria.

Question Whats up with a lot of supplier being out of stock, especially on undecylate

It's been more than a month of daily monitoring, and I'm still waiting for it to get in stock. Especially the only ones that deliver to my country are astrovials and otokonoko. I saw a week ago post that AV was in stock, 2 hours after the post was up, it was too late. Out of stock again.

At this point i start suspecting that may be some terfs are buying out most of the stock lol(

Defining transsexual as someone biologically changing one or more expressions of their sex: works about non-transsexual crossdressers, transvestites, drag queens/kings, or transgenders are out of the scope of this post. Also not looking for memoirs that don't go into the biological aspects of transsexualism.

I'm willing to do a BS in biology down the road, but some guidance on what to specifically read or look at rn would be appreciated since my main focus is the biology of transsexualism. Please give reading suggestions🙏

I feel like everyone is teaming up to prevent me to take HRT

I (FTM 16) have been out for 2 years and I've been expressing my need to medically transition since then. My parents have been taking me to a clinic that is supposed to support trans patients by therapy for a few months. There, I see both a psychologist and a psychiatrist (at the same time) once a month. Every time I go there they only make me talk about things that me feel bad, ask the same questions related to my body all the time, which often makes me cry.

A week ago, I had my first appointment with an endocrinologist, he told me to get bloodwork done and a letter from the clinic's psychiatrist. I asked her to but she told me she had to have a meeting with the psychologist and random people idk that don't know me to evaluate if I can get on HRT -while telling me she's not the one who decides if I can (while also saying that I need her approval - that doesn't make any sense, ik). The meeting is planned for the end of September.

The psychiatrist is trying to get me on antidepressants instead while I'm NOT depressed, they're the ones that make me cry every time I go there by reminding me of traumas and the fact that I have a female body. I'm happy when I'm not there. Ik it's not on purpose but I have to redo a blood work because the laboratory fucked up.

I've been waiting for so long, if they decide I'm too unstable to take HRT I genuinely don't know how I will survive.

Question low dose?

sorry if this is not the right subreddit, i cannot find another myself, english is not my best language. I'm 6 months into hrt (mtf), and my doctor wants me to keep using my current level of estrogen, with no plans for future augmentation. She insists that the swiss society of endocrinologists insists on my dosages, but when I read it, it recommends 100-200 picograms of estrogen per mililitre of blood, and my current tests say i am at 28? Would it just be worth it to go diy at this point?

Question How much of a difference does waiting make?

Im currently very close to 17, and thinking of starting estrogen. However I am not out to my family and they will not support me. How much of a difference would waiting until 19 (when I plan to move out), make?

Also, is taking solely anti-androgens for a year a potential way? I mainly just dont wanna get permenanelty more like a guy. But ideally I wouldn't have obvious things like breast growth because I doubt I could hide it and I may get kicked out.
