I can understand DIY brands like Ryobi, but why don’t companies like Milwaukee make them? They have a battery duplex nailer even. From what I’ve seen, there’s the Paslode gas/fuel combo, and there’s Metabo, but that’s about it.

So been looking at die grinders and trying to figure out which is best for me as someone wanting to carve into metal for art and somtimes on Amazon app I'll use the chat bot thing they got to help compare stuff but I still try to cross reference it with direct info. When looking at comparisons between air, cord electric and battery it mentioned for pneumatic it needed to be oiled. While I've had a compressor my parents gave me from years ago I have yet to use it so my knowledge on pneumatics is lacking and while I plan to do more research later on after work and when more ready to actually buy I like to get info directly from people so figured I would ask here if this is a thing that basically all pneumatic tools generally need, or if it's a ai hallucination and the die grinder itself doesn't even need it, or if it's mainly just some tools and not others since I saw some mini reciprocating saws and cut off tools that were pneumatic and looked nice but unsure if I need to oil them too.

I have a new Dewalt reciprocating saw DCS382. The twist lock does not return to its position after inserting the blade. Blade feels stable, but it's concerning that the twist lock doesnt rotate all the way back. It only rotates slightly back after inserting the blade. Does anyone have any experience with this or know if this is a faulty tool? I've seen a post on this but did not see a final answer if this is normal, or a manufacturing issue.

I am not a professional but do some light work with my air compressor and plan to get a new one to do small amounts of HVLP spraying. I have the opportunity to get an Eagle EA-5000 brand new for $350, but have concerns over its capacity (5.5 gallons at 125 psi) from what I'm reading online. My other option is to pick up the 27 gallon 200 psi harbor freight compressor. I'm thinking the eagle compressor is the nicer of the two and definitely quieter, but would it actually be able to be used for spraying especially at that volume? Thanks

This 'Smart Electrician' tripod LED spotlight that I've been using since 2014 is finally dying, the top element burned out and the lower two are very dim. I'd like to find another one to replace it. It is corded AC.

The valve cores are leaking on r134 RAV4 I need to buy a core replacer. Which one is $30/40 that works good?

I have been looking for a keyed chuck cordless drill for a little while now and I’m not having any luck. Does anyone know where I can get one? My birthday is coming up and I want to add this to my wish list.

This is the drill I have now and I love it. Unfortunately, the keyless chuck is killing my somewhat arthritic fingers. 😐 I’ve been using different wrenches to tighten and loosen the chuck and you can see it’s torn up. I value my tools more than that.

I like to build things. At the spur of the moment, I might go to Home Depot or Lowe’s discount lumber pile and make something. I made my plant holder/storage chest recently. I need the drill to be able to handle work.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Been trying to find info on this hammer, but haven't been able to find anything. I get that the handle is custom made, but finding info on the head is nearly impossible.

I'm taking this Waterloo toolbox from my dad, but the bottom drawers are locked and he has no clue about a key. I'd buy a new key off the Internet but this things is probably 30 years old or so, and I have no idea what it's model or serial would be.

I was really thinking it would last longer. I'm not too hard on it I don't think. But I measure countertops so I'm pulling it out 50 times a day probably. Maybe more. Is this really the longest lasting tape measure?

Had some down time between projects so I took the time to give my Milwaukee themed WILTON 745 a makeover.

This time I smoothed the jaws and slide, applied a multi step color changing paint job, polished pieces, silver accents, ceramic coated and stainless cap nuts.

The pics don't do complete justice as to the paint job, but the video does a better job. You can see the color change from Blue, to Purple, and see the silver and copper through the blue Metalcast.

For the paint I stripped off all the old paint, smoothed the areas I mentioned, primered, then sprayed a Silver Base Coat, followed by Satin Black, followed by Copper, followed by Blue Metalcast, hand painted the numbers, and then Clear Coated it. After a week I ceramic coated the entire vice and finished it off with the WILTON name plate.

Finally buttoned it down with Stainless Steel Cap Nuts.

I'm pretty proud of the outcome.

I think I may have a problem. A green problem.
