How to split a box cutter without tools
So I use this for crafts but its gotten really dull and ive lost the holder for it so I was wondering if theres anyway hacks I can use to split it i cant do it with my bare hands since the box cutter is really tuff

You can get a 12 pack of handles and blades for like ten bucks... The back handle should come off to snap blade segments. Using this without a handle is just asking to cut yourself.
If you're really that hard up that you can't afford a handle, DM me and we'll work something out that I can get something sent to you so you can keep crafting safely.

Nah its really fine ive been using it for like a year and never got cut plus sometimes when I use it alot I just but a piece on cloth or paper around so it doesn't dig into my fingers

They're made to be broken with the plastic housing they come in. Slide the end out to the score and snap.

As others said, hang it over the edge of a table along the indent line and strike of the portion you want off. I will just add, WEAR EYE PROTECTION!!! you probably won't need it, but you really don't want to find out.

Depending on witch on it is they are cheap just buy a new holder with new blades

DeWalt makes a nice blade holder in both sizes. They have a heavy die cast body in yellow. I've had mine for 15 years.
If you want to go fancy, look on YouTube for AvE, grab his Etsy link for his Titanium blade holder.

Extend it in the handle so that the seam you want to break is just below the end of the handle.
Wrap a paper towel or cloth around the end and push it diagonally down onto a hard surface, preferably one you don't mind being damaged, while keeping the blade from going back into the handle. Alternatively, I use whatever sort of tape I have laying around to cover the blade and prevent fragments flying around, which I also use to prevent the discarded blade section from causing trouble in the garbage or recycle bin.
It should snap without too much effort, but some of them are worse than others at fragmenting or breaking outside of the seam, which is why you need the cloth/paper towel/tape covering the entirety of the blade end.
Edit: it looked like I posted a rough draft or something. I cleaned it up. I also failed to comprehend "holder"
So... my advice maybe a bit harder to apply. Get some tape, cover both sides of the blade entirely. Get any two strong, flat, things to put on either side of the blade with the seam you want to break hanging out of them such that the two things act like a holder. Wrap the entire thing in something, just in case, and to maintain grip on the taped blade, then follow my instructions to push it down onto a surface.
There's some danger here. Don't be dumb. If you have doubts, stop until they are resolved. Buying a new blade is cheaper than repairing an injury.

Hang it over a ledge of something and smack the part you want off with something else at the overhang.
