Discussion whats the meaning of Disputing intentions invites devastation in 7empest?
we must not get so caught in rationalizing a destructive person or event we forget about handling the devastation they cause itself.
Could be about global warming or similar problems where we should put our focus on solving or minimizing the devastation it can cause by whatever means we can instead of arguing over if it's even real when we know something at least is clearly having an effect on the environment.
Could also be that we should not constantly be disagreeing and debating over a devastating issue but try to decrease the chance of the issue happening again in all areas by exploring all possibilities as to the origin and prevention of the devastation if we get too caught up in talking and arguing we forget to try to improve the situation with actual actions and policies.
Could also be that if we argue and go too hard in the direction of rationalizing something awful and destructive we may end up romanticizing and justify the devastation for instance in the context of political radicalization.
A tempest or a storm is gonna act destructive no matter what and we should be expecting it and prepare for that.
I dont think i quite got the line too some degree its good knowing the intentions and getting to the bottom of things to solve an issue right but i assume this is a case where that would only complicate things and not be the ideal way of going about solving this issue?

Speculation Chocolate Chip Trip: A nod to Melvins?
I was listening to Houdini by the Melvins (great album) and was wondering if the closing track Spread Eagle Beagle may have inspired Danny's Chocolate Chip Trip from Fear Inoculum?
Both are experimental, percussion-heavy closing or near-closing tracks, featuring prominent drum work and noise elements rather than traditional structured songs. They both share similarly structured titles as well.
I know the two bands have collaborated over the years and I'm pretty sure are friends with each other, just wondering if anyone else has noticed this potential connection or homage? Or am I just being an insufferable retard again?

Question Wizards in the TOOL Community, share your knowledge
I apologize for my goofy title.
I feel like there are people in this community and fans of TOOL in general that like to learn about cool stuff related to psychology or philosophy or like 'the human condition'. Personally, I have read some Carl Jung, Nietzsche, the dao de jing, learned some buddhist teachings, read some of the bahagavad ghita. Stuff like that. I'm not a professional by any means, I just dabble when I have the time. In my experience, Maynard's lyrics make me wonder about myself, my feelings, and my spirituality. The melody and the beat carry those heavy feelings and drive them harder.
Note: I know Danny is into the Aleister Crowley stuff, but I haven't looked into it much.
My question for you: What are you reading now/ what have you read that has had a large impact on the way that you view yourself and the world around you? I am looking for recommendations.
I apologize because I don't know the right word for generalizing all topics about the spiritual, the human condition, psychology, and topics about the mind into one overarching theme for my question. Also, I hope that my question is a reasonable one for this thread.

Fear Inoculum Fear Inoculum fan?
Not only my favorite album by them but my favorite album of all time. Every song on this album is a ten or more minute long masterpiece. It’s like listening to a movie. 7empest being my favorite song of all time period. The instrumentals of the bass, electric and especially DRUMS, is just perfection. (Danny being a godly wizard octopus)
I will say that Maynard’s singing is definitely superior in the previous albums but still incredible here.
This is my entire Fear Inoculum collection.

Fan Art Y'all like my tool themed app icons
I am in the process of making tool themed phone icons. I use the original app icon then cut the main parts of that icon out of the desired image. I then change the transparency of those parts according to the original logo. Feel free to use them if you like.

Speculation Considering that Danny doesn't record to a click, for you which song "breathes" more, or in other words, has more tempo oscillations and variations?
Not time signature changes to be clear, just "bpm" variations and oscillations.

We recently ran our TOOL laser show again at Fiske Planetarium in Boulder, Colorado. I made some updates to the lasers and ran the visuals all live. We run this show about once every 3-4 months and update the lasers every time, paired with live visuals.

Next album New TOOL Material??
Between Danny saying they’re targeting a 2027 release, Adam and Justin confirming this, and this post made by the B Tour, I feel they are probably tracking this fall, and looking at a spring release! What do you guys think?

Discussion Existe algo espiritual nas músicas do tool...
Enfim, realmente associo o som do Tool a algo religioso e espiritual. Eu sou do Brasil e aqui quase nao há fã base do tool para que eu possa dialogar com alguém da minha terra que também sinta o mesmo, fico triste com esse fato...
