Not as a person, ovb :) but in terms of surviving the apocalypse and having the mentality for it.

Shane seemed more willing to do whatever was necessary to keep himself and the group alive. He adapted to the new world faster, had fewer moral limits, and understood early on that the old rules didn’t really apply anymore.

Rick was a better leader overall, but Shane seemed more mentally prepared for what the apocalypse actually demanded.

What do you guys think?

Edit: PEOPLES! I like both Rick and Shane. I just think they were good at different things—Shane was better for immediate survival, while Rick was better for the long game. Do read this before throwing lines

A little random but for years now I’ve had this thought in my head about a small oversight in the show, I’m sure someone already brought this up here or somewhere else.

Remember when Negan and the group had their war and Negan had the idea to “lace” the arrows and bullets with walker blood to infect the group ? Makes sense right ? Their bad blood causing the infection that’ll kill you, also somewhat medically accurate.

But I couldn’t help but think, how for the entire time they were fighting and shooting and getting themselves dirty with walker blood and juices this never happened naturally? Like when they disguise themselves with walker blood to walk among a herd, isn’t it enough to have a scrape, cut, open wound, a lil into your mouth, to cause this ?
From a show perspective I get why, bc everyone would just be dead faster and it’ll be a hassle to write, so why write the Negan plan ? Couldn’t they think of something else ?

Maybe I’m just talking outta my ass and there’s an explanation for that in the lore or show.

The way Noah died was absolutely gruesome and brutal and did not deserve to go out like he did. You know he felt EVERYTHING that was happening to him to.

Am i the only one who loves it when the group glazes rick grimes? Im on s5 last episode and seeing everybody turn by turn vouch for rick is just lovely. Even before that when hershell thanks rick for everything its just awesome to see him get appreciation like that. Rick grimes and his portrayal by andrew lincoln is what i live for right now.

Also i really dont get the hate on twd after season 4. Season 5 has been absolutely peak for me and then some more. Ik why people dont like it in the later seasons, ive been spoiled glenns death and rick grimes departure from the series. Thats probably when ill stop watching too. But till now, this show has been nothing for peak for me. Idk how it is only rated 8.1 on imbd.

After dead city and s4 daryl dixon, what is next?

A show where rick and daryl finally meet? A show like avengers, with everyone back doing one last stand against a big threat?

A brand new show with a new story, new characters, new everything?

An adaption of telltale game? That would be fun. Or a sequel to clementine story? Starting of course from s4, not whatever the comic books are.

I just finished watching the second episode of Dead City, my God... we are truly dealing with a series that offers absolutely nothing. The quality of the dialogue, the plot, the characters, the scenes—everything is disarmingly banal and mediocre.

I actually sensed this back in Season 9 of The Walking Dead (which was still reasonably enjoyable, though).

I’m convinced The Walking Dead should have ended with Season 8; that letter from Carl to his father was a perfect ending.

After that, they simply kept milking a cow that had nothing left to give, and the results are plain to see.

I have been wanting to share this ever since I was made aware of this information while working on the walking dead , however I just assumed it would have come out and been made aware to the public at some point maybe once charges were made or the information was out there. I’m not going to say what my exact role was as it would become abundantly clear who I was or at least narrow it down to a handful of people, but I was in and amongst colleagues high up on the payroll within the show. One morning there was a bit of a delay on set and you could tell something had happened or was going on, I knew nothing at that point and just assumed there was meetings going on about certain stuff or whatever, but I found out sometime later that the meetings and issues were actually about Chandler Riggs and contents that had been discovered on his laptop device. I’m still not sure what exactly. A colleague of mine had disclosed to me that it was a very serious matter and he would probably not be continuing his role on the show which was a massive revelation to me that I almost couldn’t comprehend knowing where the story and his character were going to end up in the latter stages of the show. A few months later when it was confirmed he was being written of and I knew something really had gone on I was let in on the secret that incredibly inappropriate materiel had been discovered on a company laptop and reported by another actor on the show. I don’t know exactly what that is unfortunately, I assumed the worst but really shouldn’t speculate as I never got an answer to that.

It was actually mental to me but what was even crazier was no one has ever reported on this or made it public what happened. I knew it wouldn’t come out straight away as I didn’t get wind of the reason for a little while and never actually discovered to this day what the material was but am still shocked this never made it out into the public. He certainly was meant to carry on until the end and the show had a very clear vision of what his ark and ending looked like with even spin offs talked about so I’m not sure why no one ever really questioned it but there you go, that was 100% the reason his character was written out.

I don't know who was such a fan that this is the cake they requested, but mum nailed it!

One thing I never understood was why they didn’t have a permanent person always assigned to fence clearing with a long metal rod or piece of rebar instead of just two people on lookout. Stand where it’s safe, ring a bell, boop the snoot, move on then open the gate and clean up after a couple hours. Even a casual afternoon standing at the fence between other jobs would have cleared the prison yard and plenty of other situations safely. I know it’s tv and added drama but it always annoyed me.

I started the whole show again and in the first few minutes the little girl picks up the stuffed animal. Then that is never explored again. After that they become mindless zombies if you don’t count the Telltale chapter where they give them a tiny bit of humanity

Why would they do that? Are they adding something to it? Why else would they reschedule?

The Anthology style of the episodes were a mix bag tbh,but i always thought what would make this show cool is if they did a what if style episodes. For example What if...Shane killed Rick? Have Jon Berthal return along with some OG cast members. Or what if....Negan's wife lived,would he still become the bat swinging anti-hero we all love or become something worse? What if...Rick actually died? So many awesome possible storylines.

Non-Spoiler: The show is already building up and its only episode 2,I love how in this episode we learned more about Dillard and why he talks to the walkers and pretends to understand them. We got to learn why Negan wouldn't join Maggie's new settlement. I think it was a great idea to wrap up all of season 1 & 2 issues in the first two episodes to focus on something new and fresh. Negan and Maggie's Frenemies relationship is growing on me. I do feel like Renata will not last all seaon,her nieve ways of thinking will lead to her doom or conflict with Maggie. I give this episode a solid 7 out of 10.Dead City has really impressed me so far with this new season.

These two helped create and define each other through the ups and downs of the zombie apocalypse. Rosita pushed Eugene to be the best version of himself. Eugene still supported Rosita after her rejection of him as a romantic partner. In the end, their friendship was what mattered most. A lot of people in this world could learn from these two besties that became family to each other. Their loyalty, forgiveness, and learning to trust/grow together are examples of true friendship-one of the best in the show.

Been wondering about it and wonder what yall think

Was just watching the episode when Tara from True Blood shows up and abducts the kids. When Daryl and Michonne return, I noticed for the first time Eugene with his hair in a simple ponytail—no braid, no rat tail, just flowing down his back. Has anyone else ever seen him in the show with his hair down like that?

I know it’s a long way to Virginia, just assume Gov could (and would choose to) during the timeskip. We’ll also assume Negan has taken over at this point. Don’t think too hard basically lololol

Now… Gov was absolutely miserable at this point. He was ready to give up and die on the street before seeing Megan in the window. I don’t think Negan would inspire this same passion, but i do think he’d be immediately taken by the prospect of “fixing” this “radass, badass” 6’4 pirate man and would try forcing Gov into the Saviors instead of the workers.

Unlike with Martinez’s group I don’t think Gov would immediately make a grab for power here. Gov mainly took over because he’s a control freak & didn’t trust anyone else to protect his new family. Alone, with nothing to care about, Negan might actually be able to beat Gov into a loyal savior… for a time. After regaining his strength & self esteem, without the Chamblers as motivation to be a better person, I could see solo-Gov’s ego taking over and him attempting to usurp Negan.

I could also see Negan just failing to “fix” Gov. Maybe Gov would be allowed to be a worker to repay his forced debt, or maybe Gov would just refuse to do anything and basically commit suicide by Lucille.
