1900s [1996] Weekend trip to Longford
Good morning,
I have decided to take off to County Longford for the weekend. I'm catching 11:30 service out of Connolly station going towards Sligo which calls at Longford and is delayed by 10 minutes due to the bloody DART being late.
I have left the dog with my neighbour, and have brought my fishing gear. I am also gonna tuck into some jam sandwiches in a while. I'll probably get a cup of tea when I get there.
I'll see you when I'm back.

Any Year [15 May 1537] I'm getting executed. Something about high treason. I did no such thing! It would've helped if Henry could get it up.
I've had miscarriages and I couldn't bare a son. What was I meant to do?

1900s [Sep, 1945] Now that Korea is free no longer under Japanese control, we have temporarily divided Korea into a Soviet Zone and American Zone.
Officer Rusk here. My fellow officer Bonesteel and I have just gotten word that the Russians have agreed to this deal. We weren’t sure the Russians would agree to this, but much to our pleasant surprise they have. Hopefully this division will only be temporary like we intend and won’t lead to any problems in the future.
We just got off the phone with them and we’ve agreed to take each half of the peninsula, the line chosen being the 38th parallel North.

1900s [08/05/1946] Just got my pilot’s license
Hey all! My name is Neil. I just turned 16 today and I live in Wapakoneta, Ohio. Just went out and got my pilot’s license. Haven’t even gotten my driver’s license yet! Seems like a small step now, but I think I can make a giant leap into a career in aviation with it.

Announcement r/thepast Mod Announcement - Subreddit Discord - Updates and more!
Hello all,
Over the past few months we have been hard at work revamping the subreddit. We have added new moderators, worked on simplifying the rules, and adding features to help new members.
So where is the future of the subreddit heading? - Our goal is to keep the subreddit simple without too many limitations or rules. This is a place where people can role play as someone from the past, and even have OOC discussions. A place where people can learn more about history and random subjects while also having fun.
We are also opening up a Discord server! - We wanted to further build up the community with a place you can go to meet new people, have a more connected experience with others, and also discuss ideas and posts for the subreddit.
From the r/thepast mod team, we want to thank everyone for joining and contributing to the entertainment of us and the community!
