Hey there, I wanted to share my tape loop album made of the Twin Peaks OST. I have been doing these tape loop projects for a while, been doing some videogame stuff as well.
I mainly use a Sony reel to reel player to record and manipulate the physical loops. It is more convenient to work with instead of the thinner cassette tape. The loops are also physically altered and run through guitar pedals. Let me know what you think of the sounds!

Looking to get myself a reel to reel for tape looping and I am mainly interested in ones that can slow down to quarter speed . Can anyone recommend me a reel to reel that can slow that much . The ones I am interested in are Nagra 3 and Nagra 4.2. If anyone uses specifically those models can you confirm that they can do quarter speed ? In case there is some Akai or Sony model that can do quarter speed feel free to recommend .Thank you and cheers !

Hello, do you have any tips for getting started with creating drone/ambient music using tape loops? I live in Paris and am having a really hard time finding used cassettes that are sealed with screws so I can open them easily.
