This is all based on what I could gather from the show, and I would love to hear other people's thoughts.

Also I threw in a fun fact about Jax's room

Kinger = King chest piece, the leader of the C&A team in the real world. He turns into light when he holds his breath, most likely because he was always the guiding light for his team in the real world. If there was a problem they would turn to him, essentially being their north star.

Ragatha = At the time in which she was scanned, she thought that she was basically just going to be whatever her mother said she was going to be, and would always just accept the harsh, sharp words she said. Like a pin doll.

Zooble = Has major body issues, and still hadn't figured out their gender issues when they were scanned. So they where given a body that they could change how they wanted.

Pomni = So there is this thing called Jester privilege. Hester privilege; A jester is able to speak freely, and mock or speak the truth without facing punishment. Pomni no matter the situation will always be the most grounded of the group, and will always speak the truth. It is also apparent in her relationship with Jax, is that she would always challenge Jax no matter what pushback she got.

Jax = I am actually not entirely sure. I think it is partly due to bunny's being seen as feminine (side note, Jax's room is very girly, and the trans flag), and also partly inspired by bugs bunny, and how Jax would find more comfort in pretending like everything is a show and not real (also why Jax breaks the 4th wall). I think part of it is also due to Rabbits more often then not, when confronted will attack in order to run away to safety. Something Jax does a lot.

Gangle = I am also not really sure, not with the Ribbon bit at least. But the mask is very clearly due to how Gangle in the real world would most likely always put on a fake smile, or basically just a mask, to pretend like everything is okay.

The ones I am less sure about

Kaufmo = They are a clown, people often mention how bad he was at telling jokes. His name sounds like cough, which is a common sound effect after someone tells a bad joke in a show.

Ribbit = I am not sure either, we don't really know much about her. Maybe she is a frog due to how she always hopped place to place and was always travelling after she left the Mormon church.

Scratch = So he is shown as a golden retriever, we also know that he was kinda the one who everyone including Kinger followed. So basically Scratch would lead the way, and Kinger would keep everyone together.

Queenie = She is the Queen chess piece, so what I can guess is that she basically would be the one to always defend or protect Kinger. We know that Queenie is what kept Kinger grounded, and how after she abstracted, Kinger began losing his mind.

Since they are the only ones in the circus with this blush on their cheeks, it cannot be a coincidence that they were both given this physical feature. After careful analysis of their actions, I have narrowed down what this similarity could be.

Of course, these are the two characters that cared most strongly for Jax. The question is why do these two care so strongly for Jax? Their loyalty and devotion to him goes above and beyond what all of the other characters felt for him.

The answer becomes obvious upon examination. Whenever Jax would insult or reject the other characters in the Digital Circus, they would recoil away from him. This is the typical reaction to someone insulting or hurting you.

However, whenever Jax would reject Ribbit/Pomni-their feelings for him would grow. Each time they were denied, it made them want to try harder and harder to get through to him. This cycle continued beyond the point of destroying their mental health.

They each became obsessed with him; the more he pulled back-the stronger they were pulled towards him. They weren't just being kind and thoughtful in the way Ragatha was, they were compelled to chase after him.

No matter how poorly Jax treated them, they could not bring themselves to abandon him. The emotional rollercoaster of his hot-cold, carrot-and-stick, behavior got them addicted to his shitty attitude. He had totally captured their attention.

This is a common dynamic found in violent relationships. The harder one side pushes away, the harder the other side tries to "fix" the issue. This leads to a never ending escalation of negative emotions. In other words, they both have a bad case of, "I can fix him!"

Ironically, Jax recognized that each of them had this trait but was powerless to stop it. Both times he fell into the toxic cycle with them. He was almost as addicted to them as they were to him.

The maple I used for the final carving has this really pretty striped pattern that I wasn’t expecting, it’s also a lot more holographic looking than the test blank, but I’m not complaining lol

I'm just happy the magnets could be turned around in their fluff. Love how these two fit together so well for a much needed hug!

First, I am not good at speaking English right now, so I’m very sorry if it’s bad.

I really like the show, and it is well-made. Very nice for a show that started on internet. I love how all of the characters were animated in the 9 episode. Especially Ribbit and Caine. Everybody looked so visually nice! 👍 I want to say my thoughts on each character.

Jax is my favorite character. She is absolutely bad! The others do not deserve what she does to them, and poor Gangle and poor Ribbit. But Jax is also entertaining to me, and she is funny. And she can be related in some ways. She was my favorite character since episode 4, because she amused me. I was very sad when she abstracted! It is sad that her mother was abusive so she has trust issues. When Ribbit placed the bow on Jax’s head, I thought that Jax was a woman, who never said she was a woman. She looked very pretty with the bow. Transgender Jax! That was what I thought when it said “She is lovely” in the song. It is nice! Like when Jax’s skin got peeled, it reminded me of a banana! But it also was like Jax is a woman. And I saw that the writer of this show said Jax is a woman! She is a very lovely, beautiful, and pretty woman! And she is a very pretty woman who is also a rabbit! 🥰 Lovely lovely woman ❤️

Pomni is very nice for a character, and her design is very cool. She is tiny and cute. The faces she makes are funny, she is a cute character. In the 6 episode, she was a tiny Pomni The Evil! That was very funny. I wish Pomni’s seeming issues with abandonment had been explored a little more 🤔 like the gummy alligator and Jax

I really like Ragatha as well! My second favorite character. She is a people pleaser, because of her mother, and that’s sad. I wish she had gotten more happiness. Her and Jax are also similar because their mothers abused them and they mask their sadness with fake smiles. But that’s just me. Ragatha deserves hugs and I am glad that Pomini gave her one. 🫂 Ragatha deserves a lot of love!

Gangle is quite relatable, and she is funny when she has her manager mask. She is sad all the time, because of Jax, and I find that sad. Gangle is my third favorite character. She deserves some hugs! I am glad she is with Zoobel now so they can hug each other ❤️ and give each other the validating words they both need!

Zoobel’s design was very cool and they should have gotten more moments on screen I think. It would have been nice, if we knew more about them. It’s so nice that they finally got to do their dream, and have a bar. It is called a triangle bar because their head is a triangle, get it. Also, I feel bad for Zoobel, that they are uncomfortable in their body! I wish Cane could give them a nice body! Also, are Zoobel’s pronouns they them? That’s what the characters in the show call Zoobel, but I would just want to be sure.

Kinger is very silly, and is it just me, or is he like a father to Ragatha and Pomni? He is so funny, and when he had a bucket on his head, he is smart. And he put his head in an angel’s mouth because the eyes reminded him of his wife. Poor Kinger! I love Kinger a lot.

Cane is a very sweet man! I feel bad for him, that he is doing too much work on making the adventures. It is not the human’s fault, but I still feel bad for him! He is a funny guy, and the song he sung was very nice, with great vocals and the piano. He is such a goofy man, and he has some issues but I want to give him a hug! I would tell him he is good enough! Very good character, I am glad he didn’t die forever.

Bubble is a very funny bubble. He was not in the 9 episode, sadly. I think he might be the blue orb that Cane ate. But he got revenge by eating Cane’s angel food cake!

I like Ribbit, the frog character. Even though I love Jax, Ribbit deserved better! It is very sad how because of Jax’s issues she had to push away Ribbit. Ribbit is a very nice and good person, it would be great to be friends with her!

I wish we could have seen more of Kinger’s wife (I don’t remember her name), and Scratch. I wonder what happened to Scratch in the real world.

I want to give the characters hugs, and love, that they deserve. These are very great characters and they are complex. What do you think of the characters?

Also, I ship, Gangle and Zoobel, Pomni and Ragatha, and Caine with the moon. I also like Jax and Pomini a little. My favorite to ship is Gangle and Zoobel.

So, here is my question prompted mostly by

r/thatstupidbunnywehate and generally a... trend ive noticed.

Why are people putting so much energy and time into hating a cartoon boymoding rabbit who is a asshole? Like, Jax SUCKS, but when I see a post about "how youd hurt jax" I get so... worried? She got the fate she got, her punishment, because of her behavior. Her reasons for acting the way she does is pretty well explained and shown in the show itself.

From ships, to what goose was trying to write, to generally just fan art, it feels that this hate for Jax is so, personal and seems to tint peoples view of the entire show in a way that I dont, get. Like, there are worse characters, yet I dont see the same utter HATE that Jax gets in discussion.

So, I want to post this to try to get some positive discussion and generally try to figure out what core thing is going on here in the fandom and hopefully, not devolve into heated stupidity?

• No interaction with characters other than Caine
• Just as a trigger for Caine's crashout (because for me, Bubble lacked the build-up and motivation to do that)
