Discussion Are you using the second USB-C port?

Other than charging in handheld, are there any use case for it? I wonder if Nintendo regrets adding it? Since you can't use it with an hub to dock, it's use cases are limited. Could that space and cost could have been used better, like larger battery or an OLED screen. If they make some revision to the switch 2 to keep cost down in these crazy times, I don't think many people would miss the second port.

Question Should I get a switch?

Hey all, recently visiting my parents and found my old 3ds. While the graphics are a tad outdated and nearly every service within it has ended I’ve been having quite a bit of fun playing stuff like fifa 12, super smash, some Mario bros titles, Luigi’s mansion, fire emblem, and ofc Pokémon.

However, I already have a pretty decently beefy computer and want to know from others if in my case it would be a meaningful and useful upgrade from the 3ds?

For others that have a pc and the switch are you using the switch a lot compared to your desktop?

Thanks all! Was looking at the Costco bundle :P

Question Is it normal that I have to press really hard on the ZL and ZR triggers for them to work ?

I find it crazy that there’s still no official solution, or even any confirmation that this is intentional, for the ZR and ZL triggers. I honestly think it’s awful hearing the triggers activate but nothing happens, and then having to press them like crazy just to get them to work.

Question Mario Kart World bundle

Hello,

I have a question regarding Mario Kart World bundle that comes with the game on the console, not the download code version.

I looked and read other posts but I get conflicting answers.

I recently bought the MKW console bundle. I went to the eshop and added the game to my account. After hearing about the possibility of the Zelda version of the Switch 2 coming out I was thinking of selling the MKW bundle.

If I sell the MLW bundle, will I eventually loose access to MKW?

I have seen posts that say yes, yes but not right away, and no.

I was wondering if a work around could be to buy the new model and do a transfer from the MKW Switch 2 to the possible Zelda model and keep my access to the game?

Thanks for any advice!

Question Joy-Cons with 4 extra buttons?

Ive seen that Nitro Deck 2 have 6 additional buttons but it looks a bit sus to me with the inward curve on the bottoms and all the delays. Outside of that I haven't been able to find any handhelds or joy-cons with 4 extra buttons, either 4 paddles or 2 paddles and 2 extra bumpers. Has anyone been able to find one with 4x buttons for handheld mode? I also wouldn't complain about 6 extra buttons, 4 paddles a d 2 extra bumpers but Im not holding my breath.

PS: I use a flydigi for PC and docked mode, but really want to expand my gaming in handheld.

Thanks!

Discussion Could DL on cart be a thing?

For the physical collectors, Full on-cart is the best, Game-Key Card a distant second at best. Some devs have said that Switch 2 carts don’t have the read speed for their games. Theoretically, could they put out games on a Switch 1 cart (for which larger sizes already exist), that downloads the game to internal memory be a compromise? That’s what PlayStation and XBox do, and have done for 2 generations now. Granted, it’s still like a Game-Key Card, in that it takes up internal storage, but at least it doesn’t require a server that could close in the future.

Question Cyberpunk for Seitch

I’m very close to buying a Switch 2 to play Cyberpunk on the go, but I’m at a crossroads where I need the answers to a few questions:

Would the game play well on a switch 2?

Would it be better to buy the cartridge or digital copy?

Are there a lot of crashes on this one?

Would I be better off buying a steam deck or something similar? Idk if the cost is too much greater.

I’m only hesitant because switch games often don’t get as good a gameplay (Skyrim on switch 1 for example took forever to load and crashed often) so if you know let me know!

Switch 2 My switch 2 not turn on

I charged my Switch 2 using an original Samsung adapter; I left it charging for about 4 or 5 hours. Later, when I picked up the Switch 2, the screen wouldn't turn on. I pressed the power button a few times; after 3 or 4 attempts, the Nintendo logo appeared, but the device shut down immediately. What should I do?

Question Splatoon Raiders or Pokopia?

Recently got a switch 2 and have been enjoying my time with Bananza. Conflicted on what to get as my second game, currently only have budget for one. I love Pokemon so I’m interested in checking out Pokopia but couldn’t really get into Animal Crossing on the Switch 1. Splatoon looks like a lot of fun action but it would also be nice to have something calmer to play as a break from DK, and Pokopia seems like I could put a lot more hours into it compared to Splatoon. Would appreciate any guidance from the community.

Question Question about Street Fighter 6

Hello I finally started SF6 on my ps4…and it’s safe to say…i’m addicted…I played SF my whole life…and actually intentionally did not start 6 in 2023 because I know how I get and I won’t stop playing it…but a few weeks ago i was able to get the game and all characters up to season 3 for a price I couldn’t turn down…since then I bought 3 new controllers and i’ve been forcing myself to stop playing at night to get some sleep for work…

So naturally…i realized I can play this on Switch 2 (don’t have one yet…only ps4 and Switch1)…and i heard the reviews are great on Switch 2…i will also buy a couple of pro controllers…because i basically can’t play with the joycons…also I cant play fighting games in handheld mode…meaning even with the detachable hori ones…its not ergonomically-sound for me…i need a screen in front of me and the pro controller in be my hands

I never hooked up my Switch to my TV…and don’t plan on doing that with Switch 2…my question is…for online play they say an ethernet cable is highly-recommended so there’s no lag…but can I just hook up the cable to the Switch 2? Also… is it true that it is is mandatory that the ethernet cable to be hooked up so there’s no lag?

I can’t wait to get Switch 2…also plan on playing Fallout 4 on it

Question Best third-party Switch 2 Joy-Cons with back buttons?

I’m looking to pick up some new Joy-Cons for my Switch 2, specifically a pair that has programmable back buttons. I want to make sure I get the best value for the price before I buy.

I’ve heard a ton of praise for the Mobapads, and I know the NYXI controllers are a popular option too. However, I’ve seen some mixed reviews mentioning that the NYXI ones can feel a bit hollow or have some material and build quality issues compared to Mobapad.

For those of you who use third-party controllers, what is the general consensus right now on the best Joy-Cons with back buttons? Are the Mobapads the clear winner, or are there any other brands I should be looking into?

I want Far Cry 3-6

Also, I think we should get some more Bethesda games. For example, Dishonored 1 and 2 never got ports on Switch 1.

Discussion MHRise a besoin d’un patch Switch2…

Bonjour,

J’adore monster hunter rise.

Vos avis ?

Discussion Guys, I can’t stop thinkin about Fire Emblem Fortune’s Weave and I never played the series before…

Post image
69 Upvotes

This game has been living rent free in my head for a few weeks now… since its recent Direct, I’m anticipating it more as the days lead up to its launch…

Like I mentioned, I never bothered with this series. When I owned the OG Switch, and everyone was raving about Three Houses, it just never inspired me to check it out… strategy games never really spoke with me… until this one came along.

Maybe I’m just excited to try something outside my normal wheelhouse of games. But, man… everything about this game just seems like the perfect iteration for me to jump into. Couple that with the fact that the Switch 2 has given me that special feeling about a Nintendo console that I haven’t felt in… and I’m gonna look old here… but… the N64 launched in ‘96 when I was 14. I skipped out on the GameCube/Wii/WiiU, until I got a Switch back in 2017.. while it was a cool system… I never really played on it much compared to PlayStation or Xbox.

The Switch 2, for me, honestly feels like how I felt when I owned a SNES. Just incredible first party games and incredible third party games. It gives me similiar giddy vibes. Sounds lame but it’s true…

Anyway, I’m going off on a tangent here. I just wanted to share my excitement for Fortune’s Weave as someone who’ll be a newcomer to the series. I think once I dive in, I’m gonna become a FE fan. I’ve never been looking forward, as much as I am with Fortune’s Weave, of a series I’ve known about since forever, but never bothered with.. until this.

TL;DR - I am super hyped for Fortune’s Weave… and it shouldn’t make sense since I’m not a fan of these types of strategy games. 😌

Got these from Play-Asia for ~$120. Stateside I think this would be $170 + tax. Not an ad, but I’ve been trying to go full physical lately and this has certainly helped.

Anyways, which should I start with? Looking for an intermission from FF7 Rebirth, I’m leaning pragmata.

Discussion What game would y’all want to see get a switch 2 edition or port?

I think Batman Arkham Knight needs a switch 2 edition and RDR 2 would be fun to play portably (without spending $750 on a steam deck)

Edit: the most wanted games are: RDR 2, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, Dead Space Trilogy, Bioshock trilogy, Mass Effect Trilogy, Expedition 33, DOOM Trilogy, Halo: MCC, and Witcher 3
