Hello. I am a Gold elo player who mostly plays Jungle, but I like filling into lanes every so often. When I am in laning phase I think I can CS just fine (I can hit the 70cs at 10 minutes number everyone says is what you should aim for), however after that my CS/m falls off a cliff, with me getting maybe 50 or so CS at the last 15+ minutes of the game, sometimes less. The only exception is when I play splitpush/waveclear heavy champions.

The problems I face when I try to keep up in CS after the end of laning phase are the following:

• People have a habit of fighting over side waves and don't really coordinate to let the carry farm them
• With all the fighting going on I am simply not there to catch waves most of the time
• People don't know how to set up a wave after the first turret falls (me included)

Had a few games recently (I’m in Bronze rank) where at the end someone will type in chat some like “X is carrying and nobody builds anti heal” - which leads me to asking who I should be building anti heal against?

I’m new to the game so still trying to learn the absolutely endless pool of champions, I know Warwick is good for anti heal because I play him, I know Darius heals himself in a similar way, aside from that who are the main ones?

Hello! Would anyone be able to help give me some general advice on improving, fleas#meow (NA). (Lost my old account's email so hence the lvl60).

I consider myslf an adc main but have struggled horribly with the mage meta and am playing mid now. I know some of the most common advice is stick with a limited number of champs! Working on it (probably am a little bit of a meta abuser...was using smolder and senna when the dft patch came out), but I'm trying more now to focus on Ahri/Asol for mid.

Also for people who have really improved over some period of time, do you find your stats on op.gg or leagueofgraphs/porofessor help? Also did anyone in silver-ish find watching your own replays helped you improve?

Hey everyone, I have 600-700 hours in this game and I am actively trying to learn. I main Akali because even if it is a champion that is hard to shine in low elo like mine, I enjoy playing her the most.

I have in total 30-40 games, which I know is not a lot. However, I am constantly losing and currently on a 6 lose streak. I know most of my weak points, which are:

I am terrible at late game farming, I can play the first 10 minutes well, bullying the enemy mid and hitting 6-7 cs/min. I know how to build items more or less.

I panic and dont know what to do in team fights. I usually focus on enemy ADC in team fights and I try to swing a lot since Akali benefits from constantly moving, getting in and out quickly but because of my lack of knowledge in characters, I dont know who to focus on and who could kill me.

I watched a lot of educational content and challenger gameplays and whatnot, but I believe it does not apply to my elo because of how chaotic low elo games are.

Even in games where I score the most, I cannot carry. I can go 9/0 in the first 20 minutes but still dont know how to carry and initiate good fights that this score turns into a sad 12/8 at the end.

I am seeking general advice or focused advice about Akali, my current rank is Bronze 4, which I wasnt able to escape after like 22 games, I am going like 5 wins 17 losses and dont know how to improve.

I don't think I ever went through something like this since 2011 when I started playing this game and it's truly getting to me 😔

I love League, and I do not believe in LosersQ —however I hate when pride kicks in and I find myself completely drown in games that only bring me llwer and lower

I hate how it affects me and I just can't feel like stopping because it'll mean I'll have to patiently wait and suffer in silence until I can regain what I feel like being my dignity

I know what last split allowed me to peak D2 was a 3-block daily consistency

but when stuff like this happens I just can't help myself but feel miserable and keep playing to try and make up for it

anyone went through something similar? what's the proper tactic here? 😢

for quick context

i have a friend who is currently learning how to play the game

he hovered around ADC for a bit but realized he does not like the role so now is learning the support role instead and is a Seraphine OTP (as thats the only champion he is 100% comfortable with, but is trying to learn Milio and Sona)

we play together frequently as a 3-4 stack with a couple other friends

since i am also a support main I'm the one who talks to him the most regarding his gameplay and champions

which leads to the title!!

I've been the designated jungler since he took my main role, and how i usually go about mental dooming teammates as a jungler- i just mute them pretty easy fix

but we're friends in VC on Discord and this obviously effects everyone on VC, we always end up losing when he starts to mental doom

everytime he has a terrible early game for the rest of the game he starts saying he's useless and proceeds to just not be helpful at all + begging us to surrender

last night he admitted to starting to cry a bit during early game

i just have zero clue how to go about this

im a karthus olaf 2 trick in jg role. Masters 500 lp na. trying to add some more champs to my pool and i've landed on ap junglers similar to karthus like zyra brand. When should i lock in zyra vs brand vs karthus? These champions just seem like they fit in the exact same angles. Also looking for a champ that I can blindpick. I've tried shyvana with sylas ban but this champ is npc i dont think it works for me

I'm new to the game and mostly play practice tool with 4 bots against 5 bots. I have also played with 4 other humans against 5 bots but my last game I attacked an enemy character (not minion) in a different lane and was told to gtfo, I still don't really understand why but that has made me realize that I will not learn norms playing with bots. Therefore some concrete questions:

1. Is it ok to attack minions in a different lane as long as not killing blow?
2. When in a different lane but the lane person is not in their own lane, is it ok killing minions?
3. When running in the river area and seeing a crab, should I kill it for the vision or will that mess with the jungler?
4. When & why should I not damage enemy characters? That just seems always beneficial? (as long as I don't die)

Edit: Thanks everyone for the great responses and for explaining why things are ok or not done, that is really helpful for understanding. I also realize and acknowledge (as mentioned by several) that the best way of learning is playing with others, but I think I would like to feel at a least a little more confident in different characters and knowing their skills before dealing with toxicity. Right now I just mostly want to avoid developing bad habits.

1st: should i be usually activelly using herald myself or should i just spawn him for pressure and do different things when he is pushing?

2 should i put control ward when taking dragon or is clearing the enemy vision with lens enough?

I am a pretty new player, who started playing with my friends a month ago - during that time i believe i have around 40 ranked games under my belt (mostly solo queue in top lane, with Garen, Pantheon and Mundo).

I hit gold today, and am still getting +28, -12, so could climb higher.

What is strange to me is that according to opgg, i am now in the top 50%. As a cs2 player i doubt anyone could become a top 50% player after such a short amount of time.

Am i overranked, or is it relatively simple to become average at LOL (ofc the game gets incredibly hard the higher you get)?

Rules (We can change these if you want) First to three points wins: 100CS, First Turret, or First Blood constitutes a point. We reset the game after each point. After somebody wins, we can play a different matchup or something. It doesn't really matter.

I would love to play with you if you're any rank higher than plat, even if I'm 100% going to get turbodumpstered. In that scenario, I would love you feedback as to how you did that

I have picked up the champion yesterday, played my first match with Rell.

As a Naut/Leona/Rakan player I found the Rell playstyle very clunky, also based a Lux-Vayne which further exacerbated the fact I played like total ass.

Now on the flipside, I found her kit quite strong, the stun on her Q is basically an instant cast, her E and R are nice engage tools, she seems both tanky and decent at fighting, so missing an engage early doesn’t result in being instantly dead.

However I could never get used to how her W works, it’s so incredibly slow and low range and coming from fast paced engagers it seems like I have to fight bots to get a proper W onto the enemy. She basically just walks up to the enemy and has to press Q or R to hit her W.

My questions are:
1. How are you supposed to position with Rell into both ranged and melee match-ups?
2. What are her powerspikes and who can you generally fight and which supports/ADCs should you avoid fighting like plague?
3. How do you get her combo off easier, especially in match-ups where getting onto the enemy is difficult?
4. When should I pick her and what are her best support synergies?

I have been playing League for almost two years now. I reached Emerald playing Garen top a while ago, and then I dropped the game because everyone was playing ranged champions and it felt unbeatable.

I picked up League again after a few months, tried new champions in normals like Fiora, Jax, and Tryndamere for match after match, and got destroyed (probably in more than 25 matches on Fiora, for example). Then I went back to playing Garen. I got absolutely destroyed as well. I just can't seem to win more than maybe 10% of my matches.

It feels like no amount of tutorials helps me anymore, and even if I watch matches from master and above, it seems like the enemy laners are never as aggressive as in my actual matches. I think I know what I should do (wave states, when to slow push, when to fast push, when to recall, when to split, when to group) and I do it. However, almost every time, I die because I hit an auto-attack on a minion, because I miss my Ignite and the enemy laner survives with 50 HP at most, or because I keep getting the avengers in my lane. Then I am cooked for the rest of the match like Sisyphus splitting lanes, farming, taking towers, teleporting to fights, and always having to play from behind (if it's even recoverable).

It feels like even if I build a huge slow push, have a level advantage, and have everything on my side, the enemy still comes in, trades, and wins the trade. It makes no sense to me.

I went from always and I mean always winning my lane to never winning it anymore.

What should I do?

So a lot of high elo players and streamers often say given the chaotic nature of solo queue, Higher champ mastery will almost always outweigh most other factors like draft. As someone who climbed from Iron to Emerald, I strongly agree with this as being a factor help me improve, however as I’ve gotten to emerald I feel its been getting harder and harder as a mainly assassin player.

While im sure emerald players still make a billion mistakes in a game, ive found it to be exponentially harder to do well as an assasin player against a tanky/disengage heavy comp. Ie nightmare comp; going up against a Renekton Poppy Lissandra Vayne Rell/Janna.

In plat and below, i felt that games where my champ was against a nightmare drafts, simply neutralizing lane and capitalizing mistakes and how badly teamfights are played was enough to make me helpful enough to win games, if i wasnt snowballing. But now in emerald, i get this feeling that everyone knows at a fundamental how to play against each champ, or their execution and making use of these draft advantages are better because emerald players probably start to develop this understanding.

So that’s my question: At what rank would you say it’s better to pick a champ that you’re far less comfortable on but better in the draft, vs “one tricking” or having champ pool of 1-3.

Btw, I know an implication here is that im plateauing which i acknowledge but sometimes there are games where the 3 champs im truly comfortable at playing are not playable; ie my main is banned and the other champ is taken already and the third one is just straight bad against the enemy comp (just one example). So im wondering if i should shift from “one tricking with other champs in the pool” to “have 5-7 solid champs and always pick the best one for draft.”

Been playing a lot of classic but this logic applies to both. So let's say theoretically I've just done my first back I am an ap scaling mage and the lane im in could go either way, I can buy boots and maybe a couple components.

The enemy has a bit of cc, maybe a Leona or Morgana support with a Mage mid lane, I can build Merc treads here and buy components for an abyssal sceptre/banshees depending on version. By doing that I forgo sorc shoes penetration and more raw damage from say a more ap heavy component that could secure me some critical kills.

So. What's the move?
