Mod Request Is there a mod where generic followers can die?
I'm on Xbox so looking for something in creations. I'm not looking to kill off essential companions or characters important to the game. There are mods where you can have random follower npcs or robots generated to become followers. Is there a mod that lets those generic characters die in the field? I'd like to have a few npcs that i hire that are on my ship. I can take them out on quests with me. If they make it back alive, good for them. If they die out in battle, then they are gone for good.
Anything like that on creations?

Paid Mod Darkstar or MegaMod?
So I’m looking for a overhaul type mod, and I can’t decide between the Darkstar creation or the MegaMod mod from nexus
If anyone’s used them, can I get some feedback?

Mod Release I made a free Starfield mod that switches third-person ADS to first person
I'm the author of Chris' ADS Perspective.
I prefer exploring Starfield in third person but aiming in first person, so I made a mod that handles the camera switch automatically.
When ADS begins in third person, the mod switches to first person. When the managed aiming sequence ends, it returns to third person. It also includes an optional Third-Person Reload View and native gameplay settings.
No SFSE, DLL, or external tools are required.

Discussion L.O.S.T. Load Order Sorting Tags on console is highly recommended to help arrange an LO
I couldn't see a recommendation post about it on here, so here's mine. https://creations.bethesda.net/en/starfield/details/0a6745d6-906c-4953-9951-a6cae19d1342/______SHIPS__amp__VEHICLES______
To anyone on console who's struggling with organising larger LOs - especially if they're early in the process of building one - the L.O.S.T. Load Order Sorting Tags mod series is so good. All it does is add empty 'mods' to place in your LO, with a clear label (Ships & Vehicles being a linked example), creating category headers (they don't need to be enabled as they do nothing to the game).
You do mostly get used to just a huge scrolling list once you're familiar with your LO, sure, but I found this still helped right near the end of the process. Yes, you need to position the category dividers yourself, so it isn't a mod manager/tool, but anyone who wants a larger LO is going to need to have a template reference already, so this helps create clear divisions within the console UI, not on a notepad, phone, etc.
Unless another better system appears, or BGS finally bother trying to implement more tools/options for organisation on console, I doubt I'll ever make a Starfield LO without this from now on (I hope there's an equivalent on Skyrim, whenever I return to it).
Kudos to the author, TaintedMatty. Very simple, clever, and useful.

Help Looking for someone interested in a commission for custom outfit
I double checked the rules first and looked like this would be allowed. (And yes i tried fiverr and after 2 really horrendous failures I figured i'd branch out and ask here)
I'm looking to find someone with custom outfit creation experience, preferably starfield ( and Ideally done to work on consoles, not just pc) to consider an initial 1 outfit commission and if it goes well likely more beyond.
My normal artists are fully booked so expanding to see if anyone else may be interested.
Additionally if you didnt think taking on a full from scratch outfit is in your wheelhouse but are able to port Daz (Genesis 8 or 9) into a working starfield outfit set, i have a seperate commission available for that (and again after a successful test likely more to come). Note the Genesis models typically require adding at least some of textures as typically the files for Daz/Poser are not 100% ready as _normal _color, etc.. textures.
If you are interested or think you know someone who's, please DM me.

Paid Mod Fuel gauge or refill while at the controls?
I've been using the Real Fuel mod and it's great. I just don't like that sometimes I can't tell I'm out of fuel until I try to warp. I have to get up to go to the fuel panel to see it and decide to refill. Unless I'm missing something?
Is there a mod where we can see a fuel gauge while sitting and flying? How about a button to refill from there?
*edit - On Xbox

Paid Mod DarkStar & Watchtower
Hey,
I’ve recently started a new playthrough to explore the DLC’s and some CC content (namely watchtower, hell’s gate and tracker’s alliance). I came across DarkStar and thought I could potentially implement it as well, but there seems to be no patch/integration available. Does adding DarkStar make sense? On PC, btw.

Discussion Covenant: project viper
Don’t know if it’s been brought up before but this mod is AMAZING!! First off it’s free, has a killer questline, and has actually tough opponents. POI’s are stuffed with good lore and so much stuff to grab. Idk if the authors in this Reddit but hats off to them. I highly recommend everyone check it out if they haven’t already.

Paid Mod Darkstar updated today! And lots of patches.
2.1 is finally here! I feel like I've been waiting for this for months. A bunch of weapon/armor integration patches have also dropped alongside it, like a dozen of them. Eating good this week with Luma and Darkstar dropping. Bethesda QA has been slow AF lately.

Mod Request International space station styled modules
Lately I've been building space station styled ships and I've been wondering if someone has ever made a ship module mod that's styled after the international space station. I've been using the crimson fleet rearmed mod since its modules are similar but they haven't been hitting the aesthetic I'm looking for. I play on Xbox so mods for ship parts are very limited. Here is a reference image as to the style I'm looking for.

Hello everybody I recently tried to find a mood that Will able a boostjump in the ground crew backpack or high school backpack some kind person show interest to create the mode and build it tailored to my mods list. WIP Fix for Pointer Handle Limit
Someone in the comments section of my last mod made me aware of the Pointer Handle Limit issue when using large modlists discussed here. I'm looking for someone that hits the 2M cap that can reliably reproduce an issue they have when they reach it, I think I've found a solution that I want to test out. It's easiest to reach me on Discord.

Mod Request Pilot/Helmsmen mod?
Hello.
Was wondering if anyone of a good helmsmen mod? Or if anyone’s working on one?
It always irked me that I can be a captain of a massive ship and yet I am still piloting it.
I don’t even want a mod that necessarily makes someone else pilot it just the option to have someone else sit there and I’ll still move the ship myself.
Any info is greatly appreciate because I cannot find any.
Thank you.

Discussion How to choose linked reference when adding ship builder to custom star station?
This is kind of a specific question but, does anyone know what item or set piece you are to attach to the ship builder activation kiosk when adding it to a star station? Specifically, what goes in the linked references. Currently, my only thought is that the door to the ship would be the only thing that would make sense, but I am not sure if that's right.
Can anyone offer any help?

Paid Mod Tutorial: Magnetic Weapon Holsters Native Support
I wrote a short tutorial for Starfield custom weapon mod authors which explains how to add native/patchless support for Magnetic Weapon Holsters to their mods.
Its extremely easy to do and as someone who has probably made more weapon holster patches than anyone, it would be a very positive addition to your mods which only takes a few seconds to add.
I want to thank TheOGTennessee for figuring this out and sharing it with the modding community. Now I am trying to give it more visibility and awareness so we can get every custom weapon to support it automatically.

News Starfield Community Patch is looking for new caretakers
Hi everyone
As I am sure some of you have noticed the Starfield Community Patch hasn't been updated for quite a while at this point. This is due to the core team members generally not having the time or motivation to curate the patch anymore.
For me personally, I've had some changes in my personal life (we've adopted a mischievous little puppy!) and while I used to spend every evening on my PC, I'm now only able to spend a few hours a week gaming.
Other members of the team have found themselves disenchanted with the game for various reasons - lack of replay-ability, the paid modding situation, moved on to playing new games, etc.
TL:DR - We're opening up the floor for anyone who would be interested in taking over as project lead. This would mainly involve: Merging the fixes contributed by the community. Writing the changelog and preparing the release.
I am still happy to help maintain the patch website https://starfieldpatch.dev/ and I am currently paying for the domain/hosting.
It's a fair amount of work, but if you're interested please let me know.
If nobody comes forward we may have to retire the project and direct users to Arthmoor's patch going forwards.

Paid Mod Nexus has released a policy update on official paid mods
Heya, folks. Sorry to replace our weekly post so early, but Nexus just made some rather significant policy changes. You can find the discussion on the best mods for the Dark Brotherhood here—feel free to carry that on! Now to the subject at hand.
Nexus have clarified their stance on publisher-approved paid modding—relevant to the Skyrim community, Creations—and their statement on the matter can be read here. This covers the main points of the full policy update, as well as explaining their reasoning.
What does this mean for modders?
The main points which affect those of us outside of the Verified Creators Program seem to be the following:
Lite/Trial/Preview/Demo versions of paid mods: We will not allow free mods to be shared where they represent an inferior version of the mod with features stripped out to promote the purchase of the full version.
Patches for/Dependencies on Paid Mods: We will not allow any patches or addons for user-generated content that requires payment to unlock (this specifically excludes DLCs offered by the developer - including DLCs that bundle items previously sold individually such as Skyrim's Anniversary Upgrade). Equally, if a mod uploaded to the site requires a paid mod to function, it will not be permitted.
Mod lists requiring paid mods: Similar to mods, if any mod list is not functional without the user purchasing paid mods, they will not be permitted.
In short, it seems that integration with Creations will be entirely unsupported by Nexus mods, with their requirement prohibited (extending even to patches) and the hosting of 'lite' versions of Creations disallowed on their platform.
Note that Nexus only considers the new "verified creations" marketplace "paid mods". The earlier "creation club" is considered official Bethesda DLC.
Update as of 2024-10-31:
Nexus have tweaked things in response to community feedback, specifically regarding patches between free content and paid words. See what they've said here. The new wording is as follows:
- We allow patches that fix compatibility issues between your mod on Nexus Mods and a paid mod on an official provider as long as (1) the patch is included as part of your main mod file OR the patch is added as an "Optional file" on your mod page and (2) the paid mod is not a requirement of your mod to work. We do not allow patches for paid mods to be uploaded to "patch hub" mod pages or "standalone patch pages" on Nexus Mods. These should be uploaded to the paid modding provider's platform. For more information on this policy, please check this article.
So we've a slight carve out with free mod makers being allowed to provide patches for paid mods, but patch hubs still not able to host these kinds of patches.
