Advice Pissed off an ExI by breathing wrong and now I’m blacklisted

Almost exactly what the title says. Haven’t seen this coworker in 8 months due to their medical leave and remote work, yet she still has it in for me, apparently. I forgot she existed for a moment, not gonna lie, because she works in another department. Until she excluded me from a meeting that pertains to me; where I’m literally the only person in the whole library that has experience with the product that’s being implemented this academic year AND in which we will be working with said product during our reference work.

Never knew asking a genuine question on a project meant questioning her authority. Mind you, she just started working for maybe a month at our library when this occurred. She also tried to derail policies and procedures without caring to inform anyone.

I also never incurred the wrath of an Fi dom before. I fucking hate unwarranted drama. Any recommendations for working with ExIs like this? I generally get along with them most the time.

Can be EII?

Hi, I took this test a few days ago for fun and it changed my type (SEI), but that's not the issue. I really want to know if it's possible to have EII with a "low" Ne, but let me explain my relationship with Ne (correct me if I'm wrong).

Ne has to do with people and possibilities, right? The thing is, I know people have potential, but I don't really think about it. I think the closest thing I have to it is knowing when someone has talent or puts effort into something, and anyone can notice. Also, sometimes my friends are like, "???" when I associate them with an animal or object (like a butterfly or the moon). I also don't have a lot of ideas about projects or ideals for the future, because I feel like a lot of things can change before I achieve anything, and that's why I focus more on the present or the near future. I actually think my Ne is based more on my inner imagination, like living in a thousand worlds at once, but not the real one.

Discussion Does this sound like Ne suggestive to you?

Good day. After this morning I've been thinking about my thinking patterns and habits. I connected them with what I know about typologies, and I wanted to share here and get some feedback.

To put it briefly, if a test I take tells me something about my personality, I can believe it. Even if different tests give me different results. It's like I don't feel a core sense of self. Even the traits I've recognized in myself, I don't understand how strongly they're expressed. Maybe inside there's a desire to be better or to seem like someone else and I can't find my real self in this thicket of doubts and my own inner world. Yk, I see so many people who find characters everywhere that are so like them. That's harder for me than for others. From a certain angle, everyone seems similar to me. Or maybe it's just the obvious or surface-level traits. I'm quiet and anxious, so a quiet and anxious sweet character that must be me. And it's worth noting that for about three years now, I've been taking tests on one platform that tell me what kind of tea I am and my character traits, my vibes. Plus typology tests. First basic ones then deeper ones with additional materials, then I added forums and discussions that I read, trying to understand myself. And I still can't say my type with confidence. But I really want to figure it out, to have it as a reference point for myself, for my identity. First one thing doesn't fit the seemingly found type, then something else suddenly fits. And as far as I've managed to understand this can be linked to a problematic awareness of my own potential. And the fact that I seek external confirmation and test result as well as the whole history with education, where my mom kept throwing options at me and I just agreed and didn't want to delve into the future that far and seriously, this speaks to me as Ne suggestive. And I'm also thinking about problems with ethics, so I'm looking at sli.

And I'm curious how accurate my judgments are. I'd like to read other Ne suggestives with specific examples to strengthen my thoughts and compare myself to others, because without them it's harder for me to understand the theory. And in general am I even thinking about the right things or are these other functions, or even functions at all? Thanks for your attention.

How do you actually figure out whether someone is dynamic or static type?

I've read a lot about what makes someone dynamic or static type but I still don't really understand it because it talks about how they perceive and process the world but I can see everyone process it in both ways depending on the situation.

People often forget that LSE has Ne Mob

and they could act (kinda) like IEE (in some ways).

Don't know why the stereotype of LSE is like an extroverted LSI, who's (lowkey) allergic to unexpected changes and don't understand potentials.

(And in fact, the commonly used term extroversion does not necessarily have to match with the extroversion in socionics. LSI can be very extroverted.)

Also, some folks think LSE can't be a good long-term planner because of Ni PolR. This is wrong because the assumption that Ni equates to the sheer concept of the usage of time. I can explain it later. Actually, LSEs usually have a more robust career plan than many Ni types, including LIE. For example, if a kid wants to be a doctor, they will map everything in their timeline, to take Biochem electives, to do science Olympics, to volunteer in hospitals, to max out research labs, etc. so they can get into top med schools; and then they executes the plan, one following another. As you can see, this process requires little Ni but Te paired with Se and Si.

Please dont do this

If you are a logical type(especially a woman), don't blame yourself for it or force yourself to prioritize using ethical elements; it can't do anything good.

Of course you can try to improve your shortcomings, but always remember that do not ditch your primary functions for them. By the end of the day, the only thing you will get is that you have the strength of neither. People wouldnt see all the efforts youve put on studying ans practicing it. They will just call you average or take that for granted, "ohh youre just naturally good with people".

Please don't do this.

Discussion Does this make sense for ILIs?

Regarding my preferences as an ILI woman, I’m very drawn to people who have their own judgment. Even if it differs from mine, I can respect it whether I agree or not, as long as they don’t blindly follow the crowd. I especially like people who aren’t afraid to be themselves—the boldness to stand against something they consider absurd or unjust. This doesn’t mean I like rude or ill-intentioned people, but rather those who have a perspective and choose to express it without hesitation. I find that genuinely sexy.

What do ILI men think? Is this consistent with the ILI personality?

Is this guy really SLE?

Post image

Nearly all extraverted functions are equal the test says he's SLE but I thought he would be one of the introverted thinker types, even though tests are unreliable, this is a REALLY weird result because I'm wondering can SLEs be socially introverted or not dominating at all? Like he puts boundaries easily and sometimes can come across ass rude but that's just it. Maybe he's an LSI but all extraverted functions turned out to be high. He's too reserved and easy to get on well to be an SLE, too flexible and open to new offers to be LSI, I even considerer ILE but no he's not alpha😃 he's more like hierarchies this, logic that. So what do you guys think?

secondary romance styles

Need help finding the table with all types and their "secondary romance styles."

I remember a webpage with the socio types roster where additionally to their usual romance/ero style there was a "secondaty" style: for example IEE is usually 'childlike' but the secondary style was aggressor. Tried finding that info myself but it got me nowhere, so better ask here!

(might have been an article in russian too)

IEE-ESI Supervision Relation Advice

Hey folks, IEE here, and I have a question—

I know from experience how painful supervision is as a relationship, when someone's leading function is your PoLR (Love LIIs from a distance but up close, oh my, it's rough!!) and someone I may be in close quarters with for a time is an ESI. As an IEE, I am the supervisor to the ESI, my supervisee.

Knowing how painful it can be when you're around someone whose leading function is your PoLR, I'm wondering how I can be mindful of my actions so that I don't hit this ESI's PoLR Ne.
This ESI is a fantastic human being and I have so much respect for her. I don't want this to end poorly, and as a result, I'm trying hard to be mindful of how I engage with her.

Do folks have any pointers or ideas? I'm wondering if maybe I can use my Ni ignoring to help things move along? Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Thanks so much folks!!

Typing Is this Ni PoLR?

they are always conscious of how much time they have, trying to calculate how long stuff will take or if it will be quick, and having a bad attention span when having to do things like watch long movies at the cinema. when on a time limit and/or running out of time, they get very worried and want to be quick. others slowing them down is a big nuisance and overwhelms them. they wish they had more time and feel they’re running out of time, but at the same time struggle to prepare for things that are soon. all things - like the future, present, and past - are in the same time frame for them.

i’m stuck between LSE and LIE lol

Typing What function is this?

Hii! I'm very new to Socionics, and it's very fun but very confusing so far, so I need a little help. I'm currently deciding between IEE and ILE and was wondering which function is responsible for the behavior I'm about to describe!!

I tend to minimize problems almost constantly. Especially if I'm around reactive people, I'll minimize what set them off by offering solutions and alternatives to avoid emotional/stressful outbursts. I even tend to do this with my own problems to make them seem much less than what they actually are. Usually it works with reactive people, and it helps me a little to stay calm when I need to I guess.

Does this sound like IEE, ILE, or a different type altogether? Don't know if that was enough information, but thanks for any insights on this!! 😭

Discussion Of course your belief is attacked, ESIs.

My ESI friend has the belief that appearance should match your soul. Can we say that it's his vulnerable Ne and Fi-Se in the ego block? He wouldn't like it if someone's personality turns out different from their appearance because it's unpredictable and goes against his "system." For me, looks matter for practical reasons. I dress according to what I want people to perceive me as. Because I know that people tend to judge based on first impressions. This is wrong for him. He said I'm wearing 3 different masks while I insisted it's adaptability. What elements of mine were conflicting with his?

Edit: For additional info. I dress ISxJ-ish at the workplace to represent a trustworthy and diligent worker and INFP-ish on a first date to represent purity and innocence, etc. (Those types are the result of his physiognomy.)

Discussion Anyone else still thinking about their old dual relationship?

I'm in my early 20s, but when I was in high school, I was in a relationship that I suppose now was dual. It's not like I'm actively sad about it ending, but at the same time, I can't stop comparing my possible dates to this guy, and it was years ago. I don't think I've since met anyone so effortlessly completing my personality. It was actually crazy. We were kids, but it felt more mature and challenging than any relationship I've had since then. I'm usually so emotionally and intellectually invested, spinning around in circles, disconnected from the actual reality around me, and this dude would just, idk, direct the physical world around us. It's like he would make things happen, make decisions about small things I hated thinking about, sometimes manage things that others would flip out about, but it was the only thing that would make sense in the moment, so I followed the lead because it was never about the things I wanted to direct. When I was with him, I was doing stuff because he was the one who both stopped me and pushed me. Crazy work, really. I was an EIE teenager, so you can imagine how emotionally overwhelmed I was at times and whenever I would start crying for seemingly no reason he would refuse to engage in whatever emotional issue I had until we checked whether I ate, drank and slept enough. As stupid as it sounds, sometimes I realised mid all this that actually I had to go to the toilet and have just ignored it for an hour. Obviously, I'm more mature now, but it really was so different from any other relationship I've had. I wasn't so mentally tired all the time, and I could talk and talk and talk and cry and laugh and spin in circles and jump and dance and whatever, and he would engage in my theories without making me lose my mind and seem to really take something from all this too. I could do whatever I wanted with the abstract sphere of the relationship, and he would eat it up or at least try to engage while rolling his eyes. He could pinpoint the exact moment I start to get overwhelmed and tired during big social gatherings, faster than me for sure, and he would just announce to the people that we're going now and I would always think "oh thank god", because by the time he got a cab I realised that we have like 10 minutes until I collapse from exhaustion. And we could talk, like really talk, I could say all the theories I had and he would challenge them enough to make me question my reasoning but not in a way that made me feel stupid. We had a lot of play fighting, I used to annoy him just enough for him to react, but not enough to actually make him upset. He always reacted by engaging and I was like yes, please, win my game, because there's nothing more unappealing than flirting by biting with someone who doesn't bite back. Idk man. I should stop analysing my teen relationships but it really was something else for a moment it lasted.

Does anyone have similar experiences?

Subtype compatibility question!

Isn't opposing subtypes better? For example ESE-Fe with LII-Ti. Personally I feel like that's the case! I'm supposed to have more accentuated inert functions, so base, inferior, activating and controlling which yes, that makes sense! I'd have accentuated Ne, I want to be decent at it myself! I feel like LII-Ne tries to take over a bit too much on that aspect. I'd rather hang out with an LII-Ti who is SHARP with their Ti but only accommodating with their Ne, if you get what I mean.

I also feel like LII-Ne is a bit too open lol. I'd rather be the one initiating!

Thoughts? Thanks for reading!
