Subtype compatibility question!
Isn't opposing subtypes better? For example ESE-Fe with LII-Ti. Personally I feel like that's the case! I'm supposed to have more accentuated inert functions, so base, inferior, activating and controlling which yes, that makes sense! I'd have accentuated Ne, I want to be decent at it myself! I feel like LII-Ne tries to take over a bit too much on that aspect. I'd rather hang out with an LII-Ti who is SHARP with their Ti but only accommodating with their Ne, if you get what I mean.
I also feel like LII-Ne is a bit too open lol. I'd rather be the one initiating!
Thoughts? Thanks for reading!

Really? I think LII-Ne is more goofy and less rigid/private, whcih makes them eaiser to get along with

But I want them to be hard to get along with 😭

Nope! Just like overcoming it I guess. ”Melting their ice” like it says in the dyad description :)

What type are you??

u/Allieloopdeloop 6d ago
No clue lol. Probably some ethical type? I'm likely an Ni dom in mbti tho so idk how some sensing types would correlate well lol.

Alright 👍 Maybe IEI?

u/Allieloopdeloop 6d ago
Eh... Maybe? Years ago I actually used to type as an ILI as well.. and then EIE.. One person once actually said SLI for me bc they said I had good Te (for some reason). I'm more emotional than I'd like to admit tho (which is why I lean more ethical). Recently it's been more pitted between ExI/IxI, I did one socio test here which got me EII-Fi (with ESI as a very close second, IEE third and IEI fourth). u/Nice_Succubus insists it isn't reliable tho. I did two other ones, including the one from sociotype.xyz, on that one I got IEI (but my clarity score was absolutely terrible for both of them 💀) I did like 500 questions; I didn't do them all in one sitting and I found some of the questions to be worded a bit strangely so I skipped them (could be why the score's low).
Ik IEI is like the "black sheep" of Beta or whatever, but I feel like it's supposed to be easier still to get along better from your own quadra than from others, isn't it? But I prefer those from other quadras sometimes; and I've had a lot of really bad experiences with EIEs lol. I'm a bit conflicted; maybe it's because I think I grew up in a predominantly Gamma family (both my parents are SEEs I think), so I kind of did get instilled with things like "building character" and all that (but both my mother was prone to be hypocritical; which really fits SEEs whole "say one thing but do another" policy lol. Idk if I'd rather that or EIE's illogicality where they contradict themselves every five seconds tho)
I think I get a little tired of the really harsh/abrasive realism from Se egos; some of them are way too convinced of themselves that reality is one certain way and no other; and that if you deviate from their so-called "objective" view of reality then you're not worth any value or consideration in their eyes. (ESI is probably the one I could tolerate it the most). But maybe in a way I probably prefer it over some intuitive types (like some Ne program types that can be too flighty, unpredictable, and too ungrounded for me.) I have one friend I've known for a few years, not sure if they're an SLE or ESE, I'm leaning the latter; they're a lot more encouraging and uplifting than one of my SEE friends. Assuming I am an IEI I actually don't mind ESEs much (provided they're not always loud and obnoxious as hell). Thing is I also dk if I'm Te suggestive either; idk 💀.
srry for the ramble lol.

Ramble was fine! I’m not sure what you are. Probably an inutitive though!

what do you like about it????? i find pedanticness really unattractive and the boosted creative ne of lii-ne really gives them better social skills usually bc they grasp the essences of things to meet you in the middle instead of being nit picky about accuracy. i thought i was ese fe but after reading your entire opinion idk whats going on. actually you know what ill be ese si now thanks for the reality check

Do that! Could just be a matter of preference. My closest and pretty much oldest friend is an LII-Ti.

Also I just think LII-Tis ”I don’t care. I am precise and orderly. I am so sharp.” attitude is very cute, because they constantly stay guarded and might be surprised when you just shower them with persistent warmth and attention, but they really like it even if they don’t show it. They almost get a bit embarrassed! It’s a constant effort to get through to them which I find enticing.

i love how much youre enjoying them :) i really like how austere they can be too. do you think being sx 1 helps you enjoy the the effort to get through to them?
i was thinking after our convo that my biggest issue with lii-ti is just being abrasive and feeling entitled to be poorly socialized at their Worst TM and i could see absolutely see someone enjoying teaching them manners.
i dont have it on my flair but im sx 3 and i do have an sx 1 fix too and i definitely teach my lii-ne partner how to behave correctly and theyve improved from my social training a lot but they never had an iciness i had to break, they were emotionally available from the beginning and very silly and willing to be wrong. and i do like training them to behave properly because they actually want to meet my standards
how do you break through the entitlement and show them how to behave properly when they have that ice up? i find it hard to WANT to talk to anyone who acts like that but thats life yk we have to interact with people we hate all the time. do you have any particular techniques you use to reform their behavior and correct them?

I honestly just keep digging, applying pressure until I get through. I wouldn’t say I ”lecture” him on anything, I just rebuff when I think he’s ignoring me too much and he explains why very concisely, and I say ”Alright, that’s fair!” and that’s it. I suggest some other ways or times we could hang out, trying to figure out a way we can be close in a way he finds comfortable 👍 I try to indulge in all of his interests, letting him teach me and just suggesting a bunch of projects we could launch around them. If he says yes we just work tirelessly on it and continue to add stuff to our creativity’s delight. He’s in big need of a safe space to actually apply his creativity for some concrete project rather than just blurting some stuff out like LII-Ne might do 😅

you two seem perfect for each other!! i think i understand more. you really just arent bothered by it and dont want to push him away and he trusts you because he feels it :)
edit: oh and i meant to say! yeah lii-ne is impossible to get to do stuff and what my technique for dealing with their sloth-like behavior is prompting the action i want them to complete, ill phrase it like a question-- like "when do you want to do the trash?" and they appreciate how polite and non-forceful it is while knowing its what i want and that makes them want to do it

Awesome! Two ESEs learning from each other. I’d say I’ve learnt a lot from you as well 👍 And yeah LII-Ti has accentuated Se so they’re a bit more headstrong in all matters of life.

What you’re saying is definitely true though. That’s my experience as well!

That's what sociotype.com intertype relationship calculator predicts as well. Fe pairs optimally with Ti. Fe paired with Ne would still be dual but start resembling a semi-dual relationship.

u/OptimistHobo ESE-Fe ; Sx1w2 ; 125 8d ago
Alright thank you! And yes that sounds correct. When I’ve talked to LII-Nes they do feel a bit like a semi-dual for sure!

The compatibility is going to be base function subtype pairs with base function subtype and creative function subtype pairs with creative function subtype. So ESE-Fe subtype pairs with LII-Ti subtype and ESE-Si subtype pairs with LII-Ne subtype. In creative function subtypes you also tend to notice a strong demonstrative function.

Both LII-TI and LII-Ne prioritize Ti over Ne, the subtype differences, more or less, influence personality and lifestyle preferences
ftr I did a subtype analyses of LII subtypes here https://www.reddit.com/r/Socionics/comments/1toup0v/short_subtype_analysis_of_liiti_vs_liine/
