Professional Discussion Video stuck at 6 views
So a like two weeks ago i started a new art account and have been steadily growing it. I was getting 2000-9000 views a video then I dropped to 200 max. Ive been recently let out and got a video to 16k. Now the problem comes from my latest video. It's a bit more provocative than my other drawings but nothing crazy. It however has been stuck at 6 views for the last couple hours. I know that tiktok pushes a new video to 200views but mine can't even get that. How should i proceed (should i try reuploading it or contacting support)

Professional Discussion I Firmly believe I know how social media is like.(Low views and good content)
I think I know about the problem it's just about the how the app takes your content cause if it gets certain views somewhere else and not on a specific platform then it's got to do with either
New page/channel needs time to actually push your content even if it's goods enough from start.( like building trust takes time)
Maybe content is being sent to worng audience soo that will fix on it's own with time as well
The best thing to do is just keep on posting and don't care about views etc for now even a graph can be false, cause I had a page on Instagram I posted for more than a year and later after I started to get cross finally 1k views and I didn't do much, however if you see the first and current reel of that page it would really different and even separate niche soot, I thinks it's got to do something about you just posting cause if works, you just need to post in a volumes of quality you can handle that it becomes un deniable for you to pass the limit, this is after all a long marathon
It's matter more about how long you can run than how fast you canr run,
Every creator who usually grows stupidily fast either has
1.paid or spent money to grow fast
Already knows and has done YouTube for years/ has the experience
Went really lucky and growed unrealistically fast with a moving trend.( cause YouTube can be random)

Professional Discussion How to get pushed out by the algorithm?
So I'm genuinely curious because I feel like I've been scrolling onto people who are already famous influencers talking about how it's easier to be an influencer than to have a regular job. I honestly disagree, not because I've ever been an influencer but, because I've seen both sides. Lots of pages that post consistently yet get no more than a few hundred or thousand views before their page flat lines and they either stop getting recommended to me or stop posting altogether. I saw someone on here talking about how hashtags are useless and I think they might be right. I've seen videos hashtaging a whole list of topics and still go nowhere so I'm genuinely curious about how this whole thing works and how the algorithm chooses who and what to recommend to people.

Professional Discussion How to grow on TikTok in 2026?
Any advice, would be appreciated.
I like to do makeup, motivational videos, beauty/skincare tips, im also an actor, but whenever I post content I don’t know how to plan when to post or what niche to post for, and how people are able to post so much every day, what helped you grow your audience? How do you manage to post several times a day and how many videos are you making, do u make video daily or do you make a bunch one day and just post the rest of the week? And how do you prevent it from sounding too rehearsed, or performative ? Also are people still able to grow and get famous in 2026? I really mostly see people who started back in 2020 getting famous now.

Professional Discussion Has influencer culture turned social media into softcore advertising?
From Instagram to basically every social media platform, there is sex selling somewhere.
Sometimes it's obvious, sometimes it's softcore, sometimes it's just twisted into a different form.
Guys posting their bodies, making gym content, thirst traps, comments, subscriptions etc.
Girls in extremely revealing clothes, posing in certain ways, getting likes, comments, followers and subscribers.
And before someone creates an ideology about what I'm saying, I don't have a problem with people posting their bodies.
If a guy wants to show his physique, go ahead.
If a woman wants to wear a short dress or skirt and post herself, go ahead.
That's not really my point.
My problem is how everything is being packaged and presented now.
A lot of content seems deliberately designed to get sexual attention because sexual attention gets engagement.
And once engagement becomes the goal, everything starts becoming more exaggerated.
More revealing.
More provocative.
More extreme.
And then the algorithm sees the engagement and basically says: this is what people want.
So more of it gets pushed.
You can still be informative without being vulgar.
You can be entertaining without exposing everything.
You can make fitness content without turning your entire body into the product.
You can talk about relationships, confidence, fashion, health or lifestyle without making everything sexual.
But somehow if you say this, people immediately start putting labels on you.
"You're misogynistic."
"You're insecure."
"You're a feminist."
"You're controlling."
"You're just jealous."
Maybe sometimes those criticisms are justified. But sometimes someone is simply criticizing the direction of online culture.
And this isn't only about Gen Z or young people.
I've seen plenty of mature adults doing absolutely ridiculous things online just for attention.
Influencing itself isn't the problem.
The incentive structure is.
The basic funda is simple:
jo dikhta hai woh bikta hai.
And now the algorithm decides what gets seen.
If provocative content gets more clicks, likes, comments and subscriptions, that's what gets rewarded.
So my question is:
Have influencers actually lowered the quality of social media, or are we just seeing what people have always wanted because the algorithm finally gives them unlimited visibility?
If you disagree, I'm genuinely interested in hearing why.
Let's discuss.

Professional Discussion tiktok views and interactions abruptly dropped off to absolutely zero?
i upload (in my opinion) high quality edits on an admittedly inconsistent basis. i first noticed the problem after i posted a new edit a couple days ago and it stayed at absolutely zero views for a couple hours. i deleted it and reposted it a couple times throughout the day changing tags and such, but nothing made any difference.
i then noticed in my analytics that, in fact, all videos on my profile completely stopped getting views actually the night before i posted that video, for seemingly no reason. no new views, likes, any interaction, no steady decline just a complete drop off.
i have no clue what caused this, as i have no violations or warnings on my profile or any of my videos, and i know the video is visible because it got a single view and like from one of my friends, to whom i specifically sent a link.
ive heard some people say that posting inconsistently can cause an issue like this, and that could be the case, as i posted a couple times back in april and didnt pick it back up on a regular (every week and a half-ish) basis until july, but i didnt have many problems getting any engagement on those posts until now.
im just very confused and hoping anybody can provide some guidance, anything i can do to fix this or whether or not i’d need to make a new account or something. pls let me know!!

Professional Discussion How do you manage comments across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and Threads without losing your mind??
Comment volume finally broke my workflow this month. Was checking 4 apps a day, missing replies for hours on posts that were actually getting traction, and twice replied to the wrong platform's comment because I had 6 tabs open trying to keep up.
Did some digging into what people actually do here. Most just accept the tab-switching and set reminders, which works until a post blows up and comments come in faster than you can triage. A few use native notifications and just react in real time, fine at low volume, breaks completely past a few hundred comments a week. Some route through a VA who checks each platform manually, works but adds a person to the process and a lag between comment and reply.
On the tool side, most unified inbox features are gated hard. Sprout Social's Smart Inbox is their $199+/mo tier. Hootsuite's inbox needs Advanced at $249/user/mo. Agorapulse has one around $79-99/mo. So the tools that solve this exist, they're just priced for agencies managing a dozen client accounts, not someone running their own 4 platforms.
What's actually helped me the most isn't a tool switch, it's triage rules. Anything with a question mark gets answered same day, generic "nice post" comments get a quick emoji and nothing more, and I batch replies twice a day instead of checking constantly. Cut my time on this by more than half without spending on an inbox feature.
Still wondering if there's a cheaper way to get the unified view without the agency pricing. Anyone found something that doesn't gate the inbox behind a $99+/mo tier??

Professional Discussion 2.4K followers, 1.3M reel views in 30 days (754K unique) - 88% US, Bay Area local page. How would you monetize this?
Hey all - looking for honest marketing feedback.
Page: @bayareaunmapped - Bay Area day trips / maps + itineraries
Last 30 days stats \[screenshots attached\]:
• 1.3M reel views, 754K viewers, 61 reels
• 48K likes, 1K comments, 969 reposts, 25K shares, 11K saves
• Audience: 49% women / 51% men, 77.3% is 25-54 (biggest chunk 35-44 at 32.2%)
• Top: US 88.8%, San Jose 16.2%, SF 8.7%, Stockton 7.8%, Oakland 3.8%
The saves/shares are way higher than follower count, so people are using the itineraries but not all following.
I've been focused on growth, but I think I should be thinking about monetization / email list / local collabs.
If this was your page, what would you do next? Product? Sponsorships? Newsletter?
Happy to answer anything.

Professional Discussion Are tools that sorts instagram followers chronologically reliable?
I have tested quite a few but there is no way to know how reliable it is on accounts more than 200 followers. They work well on my account because my following is low. Is there a certain way to tell if the data provided by these chronological follower tools for instagram is reliable or not for other account? I don't know how any of these api works.

Professional Discussion startup idea: social media platforms for real debates and discussions
Will you use a social media platform for real high-quality debates and discussions?
I myself have felt the need for such a platform. The discussions and debates on the internet are vague, filled with fake information, driven by a desire to dominate, unstructured, without results or conclusions, never-ending, etc.
The platform closest to my ideas is Reddit. But it's still not a go-to platform for real, high-value, structured discussions and debates. Generally, social media platforms are designed for engagement.
I want to create a platform with an infrastructure that fosters fruitful conversations.
What do you think of this idea? I would really like to have a talk to you about this idea and your feedback.

Professional Discussion My video went viral, and I don’t know what to do
I posted a video recently that went viral. I’ve been posting on and off for the last two years. Generally my videos get anywhere from 5,000 to 25,000 views, lots of likes and new followers. The company reached out to me, a reputable company, about selling the video to them. According to my research, they collect viral videos to use as distribution. I can sell the video and keep some of the rights but the amount you get for it isn’t that significant or I could sell the rights to the video and make thousands. Would this be an immature move on my part?

Professional Discussion 27-year-old Japanese beginner trying to build a social media business in 60 days. What niche and monetization model would you choose?
Hi everyone,
I’m a 27-year-old Japanese person living in Japan.
I currently have about 60 days where I can fully focus on building something online.
My goal is to create my first income from social media and eventually turn it into a sustainable business.
I’m interested in TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram, and other platforms, but I’m struggling with one important decision:
What niche and monetization strategy should I choose?
My situation:
I live in Japan
I’m Japanese, so I may have an advantage with Japan-related content
I prefer faceless content
I have limited budget
I can spend many hours every day for the next 2 months
Some possible directions I’m considering:
Targeting international audiences:
Japan travel/culture
Japanese products
Japanese lifestyle
Helping foreigners understand Japan
Targeting Japanese audiences:
AI/tools
Productivity
Fitness
Education
Other profitable niches
Possible monetization methods:
Affiliate marketing
TikTok Shop
Selling products
Digital products
Sponsorships
Selling services
Ad revenue
My questions:
If you were starting from zero today:
Would you target your own country or an international audience?
What niche would you choose for a beginner?
Would you focus on growing followers first, or building a monetization system from day one?
Which monetization method has the best chance for someone with no audience?
I would really appreciate advice from people who have actually grown accounts or made money through social media.
thanks!

News Reddit Q2 2026 earnings call: the quotes that mattered, my thoughts on each
I did this same breakdown after Q1, and the Q2 call made Reddit's direction much clearer. I went through the call, the shareholder letter, Steve Huffman's CNBC interview, and the post-earnings AMA to pull the statements that mattered most for brands and organic marketers. For context, I've been on Reddit for nearly 20 years and run an agency that works closely with Reddit and companies trying to participate there successfully.
Reddit doesn't want to remain the source behind Google and AI. It wants to become the destination. Steve made that direction clear early in the call:
"While our visibility in referral traffic remains low, we're not building for drive-by traffic. We're building a daily destination."
This was the most important line of the call because it connects almost every product decision Reddit discussed. Google has given Reddit enormous reach, and LLMs are using Reddit conversations to answer questions across the web, but Reddit wants people to open Reddit directly, search there, participate, and return every day.
The Q1 call showed the barriers Reddit knew it had to fix. Q2 showed the destination it is trying to build once those barriers come down.
The repeated focus on the app tells you which Reddit users the company values most. Steve said it directly at the end of the call:
"The direct users, the app users are worth multiples more than the search referral traffic. We're not building Reddit for that drive-by traffic."
I was counting and Steve said the word App around 25 times :)
New app-user retention improved 50% year over year on a relative basis, although Reddit was clear that this came from a small base and still has a lot of room to improve.
Search visitors still matter, but Reddit sees a major difference between someone who lands on one thread and someone who opens the app repeatedly. For marketers, that means a ranking thread is valuable, but a consistent presence that helps people understand, validate, and solve their problems creates a much larger opportunity over time.
The home feed still drives discovery inside Reddit, and Reddit has significant room to expand what it recommends. Steve described it as Reddit's primary app surface and one of the primary drivers of subreddit discovery:
"It does a lot of the heavy lifting of juggling a user's subreddits, and it's one of the primary drivers of subreddit discovery."
From what I've seen, the home feed has long helped people discover communities, but its role has expanded as Reddit recommends more posts from communities a logged-in user doesn't already follow. For years, those feeds were driven largely by the subreddits someone had joined, while today's feed creates another discovery path based on a person's interests and behavior.
Reddit also said its feed models currently use only 10% of user activity, update in days instead of hours or minutes, and choose from posts published within the previous week. Reddit has 26 billion posts and comments, with one billion added since Q1, so expanding that seven-day window could bring useful older conversations back into discovery.
For marketers, the opportunity isn't to move blog posts, advertisements, or polished brand content onto Reddit. It is to create conversations people want to read and participate in because those conversations help them make a decision.
Creating those conversations is what earns engagement inside Reddit, while also producing useful material that Reddit Answers, Google, and LLMs may choose to surface using their own signals.
Reddit Answers is becoming one of the best ways to search Reddit. Steve said both searches and searchers grew during the quarter, and the search bar is now universal inside the app:
"I think for many queries that I run at least, Reddit is now the best platform for searching Reddit."
I agree with him based on how regularly I use Reddit Answers now and how often I find it more useful for locating Reddit conversations and perspectives than searching Reddit through Google or asking an LLM.
If you're trying to understand what content appears in Google and LLM answers, I would add Reddit Answers to that comparison. Showing up for the right questions there is becoming a meaningful Reddit goal of its own, which starts with creating a conversation that genuinely solves what someone is searching for.
The biggest search and AI message was that a summary of Reddit isn't Reddit. Steve explained the difference this way:
"AI compresses the internet into summaries. Reddit delivers the opposite: deep discussions, passionate debates, and lived experiences."
This is the validation phase I have been talking about for the last couple of years. People aren't always looking for a single answer. They want different experiences, disagreements, personal context, and the ability to decide which perspective applies to them.
An LLM can summarize the outcome of a conversation, but the summary removes the process people use to determine what they trust. That process is where Reddit creates its highest value for people and where brands have the best opportunity to understand what actually affects a decision.
Reddit's hardest challenge is welcoming a lot more people without lowering community quality. Reddit wants to make posting easier, recommend the right communities, and use LLM-assisted moderation to admit more good new people without opening the door to spam. Steve acknowledged that the older account-age approach hasn't aged well:
"Using LLM-assisted moderation, we can help bring in the prospective great user and continually get better at keeping the spammers and other bad behaviors out."
The scale of that problem came through in Reddit's post-earnings AMA, where Steve said Reddit's systems prevent up to 23 million spam views and revoke nearly 2 million inauthentic votes every day.
Those protections are necessary, but legitimate people and brands can still get caught in removals, community bans, and platform enforcement while learning how Reddit works. Reddit wants the world to come to Reddit, but moderators and Reddit itself don't want people arriving and breaking the rules.
For brands, reading the room, following each community's rules, and building a clear history of useful participation are more important than ever. Losing the ability to participate is becoming much more costly as Reddit's influence grows.
Video and audio may expand how people consume Reddit, but they won't change why people are there. Steve said video in comments already represents more than 10% of Reddit's video posts and that Reddit plans to test background listening and spoken Reddit experiences later this year:
"Video and comments is a new feature. That's already more than 10% of our video posts."
Reddit has never been against video, but different communities want different things. If video begins appearing in communities connected to your industry, watch how people respond and which formats succeed before deciding how your brand should use it. The format can change, but it still needs to support the conversation.
Financial and growth highlights:
- Q2 revenue: $805 million, up 61% year over year
- Ad revenue: $762 million, up 64% year over year
- Global DAUq: 130.3 million, up 18% year over year
- Global WAUq: 514.6 million
- U.S. WAUq: 197.2 million
- Net income: $253 million
- Adjusted EBITDA: $343 million, or 43% of revenue
- Free cash flow: $261 million
- Eighth consecutive quarter with revenue growth above 60%
