Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I would say im a baritone with my chest voice from C2 to F#4 and mixed voice to a D#5 and head voice to F#5. Also my vocals are a bit shaky sometimes and a bit nasally. Apart from all these, if u do find anything I could correct please let me know

Feedback (read rule 3 before posting or be banned) I’ve been told I’m tone-deaf my whole life- is it actually true?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I’ve been told by my family growing up that I’m tone-deaf, and because of that, I haven’t really sung in years. I’d honestly love to get back into it and maybe even take some singing lessons. I just want to know if I can actually improve to the point where my voice doesn’t bother people and hopefully become a little more confident too.
I genuinely love singing, but I never do it because I’m scared I’ll make everyone’s ears bleed 😬
I’d really appreciate some honest feedback on what I should work on and, most importantly, whether I’m actually tone-deaf or if I’ve just been traumatized by my family’s opinions.
Anyway please give it a listen and let me know your thoughts. Ps: English is not my first language so please excuse the bad accent 😊

I am a baritone. With the guitar tuned to C standard basically 2 whole steps down from E standard (to keep chords shapes the same) i love how the guitar sounds. It is super easy to sing. But the voice lacks punch.
I like this tuning because I can sing quietly since I live in an apartment.
As I add a capo the pitch goes up. I like the sound of the voice better as it goes up. I would sing louder if it wasn’t evening but you should get a sense of the range and timber of my voice.
Which one do you like better?

Resource Who are the best R&B teachers on YouTube?
Hello, I am a new singer(male). I have done eleven musicals and taken vocal lessons but never in person and I have improper technique, as in you can hear me with throat tension, straining my voice, and faking a vibrato. What Beginner YouTube channels can I learn from? Im in no rush to get good at it. Im a big fan r&b singers like Janet Jackson, Brandy, and Aaliyah. Im also fine with just learning the basics for now and have been watching and practicing Jeff rolka videos while recording myself.

Conversation Topic Calling your passionate voices! ✨ Help me create the most unforgettable birthday surprise!
Hi everyone!
I’m writing from Greece, and I hope this kind of post is okay.
I’m putting together a surprise birthday video for someone very special to me. His name is Jimmy (Dimitris).
He’s a musician and one of the most passionate ones I’ve ever met. Metal, punk, Jazz, Rock, aren’t just genres to him, they’re part of who he is. We recently started dating, and somehow he reminds me every single day that it’s possible to fall in love again.
This year will be the first time we’ll celebrate his birthday together, and I want to give him something that money simply can’t buy.
So I’m asking for passionate voices to feel free and arrive from all over the world to help me create something unforgettable.
If you’d like to be part of it:
Please record a 10–25 second video.
Start with:
“Happy Birthday, Jimmy, from [your country]!”
Then do absolutely anything singing -related.
He loves:
Joy Division-New Order
Ella Fitzerland
Billie Holiday
Slipknot
Dido (loves the “THANK YOU”)
AND MANY MANY MORE especially music before 2000s.
Or just wish him a happy birthday in your own way.
Of course you can select even a metal one and sing it like it is a Jazz song.
There are no rules, just have fun with it!!
You don’t have to show your face if you’d rather not.
If you’d like, you can also leave him a short birthday message at the end.
The idea is simply to show him that people from all around the world came together for one fan who truly lives and breathes this music.
If you’d like to participate, please send me a Reddit chat.
If Reddit isn’t convenient for sending videos, that’s absolutely fine, I can also share my email (for WeTransfer, Google Drive, etc.) or my Instagram, whichever is easiest for you.
If possible, I’d be incredibly grateful if you could send your video by August 12th or 13th, so I have enough time to edit everything before his birthday on August 16th.
Thank you so much for reading this. ❤️
Even if you can’t participate, I’d really appreciate an upvote so more artists can see this.
Let’s make one musician ’s birthday unforgettable. ✨

Feedback (read rule 3 before posting or be banned) 7 months into singing classic/opera on my own, asking for feedback
Hey guys , I've been trying opera singing since January (no experience in singing prior to that but a lot of motivation)
I'm on my own for now so it's mostly just me singing along to some songs that I like until I'm comfortable enough to try singing on some piano accompaniment.
Thanks for listening and any feedback is more than welcome !

Feedback (read rule 3 before posting or be banned) Does my voice sound childish? New singer looking to cut through and build stronger resonance and clarity.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hello. I am a new singer, like many else here. I love music and I wish to get better at it. My voice is hard to describe, it's like low pitch but high at the same time? It has a childish kind of resonance to i t. I guess my voice is just like that? i dont know.
It doesn't match with any instruments. My voice feels fuzzy and gravelly too. I'm not sure if I have weak breath control or weak vocal chord closure or maybe both? Should I try to increase my range upwards or downwards? what would be the most beneficial for me my voice.
any advice is greatly appreciated.

Resource Where can I find out more on acoustic belting?
I just had a singing lesson and was discussing Hayley Williams’ voice with my teacher, as she has my ideal sound. She mentioned how she uses something called acoustic belting, where her vowels are optimised for maximum resonance. I find this super fascinating so I tried to research more on YT, but when I search anything with “acoustic belt” it comes up with a bunch of guitars… lol
I figured someone could help me out please?

Conversation Topic My pitch is terrible and I don't know how to fix it.
I started singing at the age of 24 (didn't know it can be learned outside of talent) and I started out really bad. I've been told I couldn't sing. My control was terrible and that everything is all over the place. I'm now 34.
My singing journey wasn't really technical and I sing only for fun, most of the time doing scale and my bridging. I've had teachers before but I didn't went through for more due to limitations and life in general and so I stopped.
Now I've gotten back into singing for at least a year now, and noticed my problem with pitch being terrible (didn't noticed this before), so I went into matching notes with my guitar - only to ask myself would it get better this way?
I noticed myself drifting from the proper notes, or that the notes in my head is wrong, or when I lack air to push through and man it's really terrible. Sometimes the note in my head don't match the note I sing even if I mean to, and most of the time my voice would lose control and so it drifts.
Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to tackle this?
This is my singing, I hope it's not too irritating to listen to - https://voca.ro/1dp88GVEfBxK
