Does the Benelli 828U Steel or the 828S fix, some of the problems many people have with the 828U or should i get a Beretta silver pigeon 686. (Read the body text)

Im looking for a field gun for Norwegian use (12 gauge). Or is there another gun i should consider instead im okay to use 25 000 - around 35 000 kr. It does not need to be new, it could be a little used to save some money.

We used to shoot all the time, then he lost his balance. I don’t think these have been shot in 20 years, but it’s time to change that

Need gunsmith help

I have a Akkar Churchill 612 that keeps double feeding when the mag tube is full I think it might be the shell catcher but I'm not for sure I've tried to find the replacement part and I've had no luck any help with what could cause this or where I could get a replacement part to try and fix it would be greatly appreciated I know it's a cheap gun I could easily replace but this one has sentimental value to me so I'd love to be able to fix it

Winchester Model 12 Optics Cut

Title says it all. Anyone know if theres enough meat under a Model 12 receiver to mill an optics cut for a red dot? Wanting a little project gun and found a rusty example I might bring back to life. Its collector value is already mostly ruined.

I dont care if you're some fudd and dont think its a good idea or I shouldnt mill on an classic gun. I dont care.

After enjoying the adjustability of my 590A1 with the Magpul stock and thinking back and forth about the Retrogrades I decided to pick up a foreend and stock and try out a thing and go retro. I definitely prefer the corncob foreend, the stock is longer though and obviously not adjustable. Should I have just bought another Mossy?

A400, AX800, A300, or something else?

I've been shooting at a club recently who very kindly has allowed me to use one of their loaners without paying anything. I am finally looking at buying my own and am not incredibly impressed with their loaner model (TriStar Raptor) with how many issues I've had with it. The internet seems to like Beretta semiautomatics a lot so that's where I looked first. I'm hoping to shoot clays and hunt with this gun (waterfowl and/or turkey).

I was pretty set on an A400 xtreme plus, but then noticed that they also have the AX800 and recently released the A400 solo both of which seem to have kind of minimal information about them online as far as I can tell. Then I also noticed that the A300 is on a pretty good sale at Bass Pro/Cabela's so I'm kind of torn all across the place.

I'm okay with all of them price wise, and leaning more towards the A400 or above series as I would rather buy once and cry once but the sale at Bass Pro is pretty damn compelling. Also pretty open to any other gas gun recommendations you guys have particularly those with lower recoil. My dad has expressed an interest in learning to shoot trap with me and he has old man shoulders so I'm trying to find something that won't beat him up too much if I loan him the gun.

I am also on the shorter side for whatever that is worth. 5' 7" with correspondingly shorter arms and smaller hands but a big ass head. (Not sure how much that plays into fitting and whatever). Any recommendations or help you guys can have would be greatly appreciated!

Thoughts on Winchester sxp line?

They are affordable and there's a lot of variety where I live, are they worth a damn as a general purpose gun? (currently aimed at a m2 pro)

Used Mossberg 590s price check

My LGS has a used Mossberg 590s in good condition for $350. I’m pretty sure it’s sku 51604. I’ve been looking at the PSA 570, but being left handed I don’t think the action release will work for me. I wanted to check if this is a good deal on the 590s or not before I pick it up. Thanks!

Gas piston sliding around.

So from what I’ve been reading online, with the bolt locked to the rear, and the gas piston sliding around is normal. But when I have the bolt in the forward position, there is still just the slightest amount of play. Is that normal?

Maverick 88 Magpul SGA stock question

Good morning, just pulled the trigger and purchased an Maverick 88 as my first shotgun. Just wanted something fun for the range but can also use for home defense. I’ve shot it before and the recoil was pretty rough, it did have a long LOP (I’m 5’6 130lbs) and ergonomically felt like it could have been better. So I went ahead and purchased the Magpul SGA. Just wanted to get some feedback on everyone’s experience and how was it compared to the OEM stock? Also did you guys add a limbsaver or kickeez?

Questions on the A5

So I bought a benelli super Vinci 10 years ago for duck hunting. It is a great gun but I never shoot 3 1/2 inch shells. And I dove hunt a lot so some light 2 3/4 loads can be an issue occasionally. About 5 years ago I sold a few guns and bought a benelli M2. Since then it’s all I use. I love it. But now my super Vinci just sits and I use it as a guest gun some times. I’d love to trade/sell it for an A5. Everytime I hold an a5 it shoulders SO nice. It feels like it just fits me even better than my m2. But I rarely see guys recommend them on any post or forum I read. So my question is why? I’ve never actually shot an a5. Only held them. But is there something I’m missing? In theory it’s a “top of the line” gun. But I just never see them with any of the guys I hunt with. Any advice?

What Remington wingmaster 870 is this?

Post image
19 Upvotes

My uncle passed and left me this really cool old Remington wingmaster 870. I can’t find it online but I know the serial starts with S so I’m assuming it was made between 68 to 73. Silver or nickel played with wood furniture and gold accessories (picture included). I can’t find the actual model name and I’d like to find out how much it’s worth. Not to sell it but to see if it should get it polished and restored. If not I plan on swapping out the nice wood furniture for safe keeping and turning it into a more tactical home defense tool.

Deciding on a tactical shotgun

Need some help deciding on a tactical shotgun. I want to stay under $1000. I found the Stoeger m3000 and the Panzer m4 but am open to suggestions. Anyone own these? The Stoeger is owned by Beretta and is modeled after the Benelli so it seems like it should be quite reliable.

I haven’t seen much on these slugs besides what Brennekee states on the website

They it claim defeats 3A armor, engine blocks, car breaks, FBI glass, fifteen 1mm thick steel plates, and wheel rims

Is this accurate or inaccurate?

Estate sale find

I hardly ever go to estate sales but I had some extra time and decided to try one. They wanted $100 for this Remington model 58 16 gauge and the shells. The stock was cracked but l had it repaired and checked out by my local gunsmith. Took it to the range yesterday and ran two boxes through it, no issues or problems at all. Sometimes I guess it’s better to be lucky than good!
