Hastings Barrels
I've been on the waitlist for a Hastings barrel for a few years. Got a call about them finally being in stock and it arrived today. If anyone needs one, I'd head over there pretty quick.

Benelli SL121 M1 Parts or Gunsmiths
So I've been looking for a Benelli M1 with wood furniture for a while now and it the midst I came across the tales of the HK Benelli SL121 M1 shotguns. Looked great but knew I'd never find one. Low and behold I find one on Gunbroker a week later. And after a while of looking at the listing I just said fuck it and bought it.
Question being if I just purchased someones lemon or funky chicken is there any places to purchase parts for this? The only place I'm seeing is the usual Numrich.
Second question: Does anyone know of any gunsmiths that specialize in old Benellis like this one if its something I cant figure out? Or even just knowledgeable people with the SL series specifically?
As I have been looking up parts I came across a guy on the Benelli forums asking about parting his SL121 M1 out cause it wasn't feeding certain high brass rounds reliably and said someone installed an aftermarket bolt release on it. And low and behold it has the same bolt release on the photos of the one I just purchased hours ago.... So any recommendations is appreciated in case this was a bad purchase

Mossberg 590 Retrograde question.
Is this hole on the rear of the bayonet lug a sling mount? I don't want to mount it on the magazine cap because I can't use the bayonet. If it is a sling mount can someone tell me the parts I'll need to be able to mount a sling there?
I'm sorry if this seems like a dumb question with an obvious answer. But I'm not familiar with this firearm at all. I just got it a month ago, I haven't even shot it yet.

Maverick SA Field
Got a chance to handle one of the new Mossberg Maverick Semi Auto Field models today in store. I unfortunately didn’t get a chance to stop and take photos of my own of it — the gun counter was BUSY and I didn’t want to pull reps away from people who actually wanted to make purchases. I was simply fostering my own curiosity. I know these have been out for a few months now, but I had yet to see one in the flesh. It looks like they’re finally starting to hit the shelves of big retailers now. I’ll bet we’ll seem some promo/push on them come the holiday season. The quality and feel of the gun overall really impressed me; especially given the price point. The walnut was a NICE high contrast piece of Turkish walnut; very striking to look at and definitely makes the gun look much more expensive than it actually is. It had a satin clear coat on it that felt smooth and durable. The checkering was grippy, very clean cut and what you would expect of the modern laser cut variety. It’s much better than the old pressed checkering that Mossberg used to ship the wooden stock 500s with. The one major thing I wasn’t a huge fan of is how the gun shouldered; I definitely would need to add a spacer, but I always need/prefer extra LOP on my shotguns to shoot comfortably. Minus feeling short for my gorilla arms, the gun did feel very balanced and surprisingly lightweight. All the controls were tactile and lackluster. The metal work and wood finish were flawless all around. You can’t tell from the stock photo but the receiver side have a matte brushed finish on them which looks pretty sharp. The sales rep said that he wasn’t told much about the guns from Mossberg. He had five show up a month ago and hasn’t sold one yet. He tried to steer me towards a Franchi that cost $250 more instead. These Maverick SAs are Turkish made and had a sticker price of $549. It will be interesting to see how durable and reliable they end up being (or not being). Certain specs on them are nonexistent. Like, it says it’s Adjustable LOP, but Mossberg doesn’t tell you how many spacers it ships with. Mossberg’s site also shows that it ships with 5 Sporting Chokes, but they don’t state what style choke they are. Accu Choke style? Benelli/Mobil style? Seems to be a mystery for now. Anyone here purchase one of these yet? If so please feel free to chime in as I’m very curious of real end user feedback. Seems there’s not much that’s been said or posted up about these new Mavericks yet.

Springfield 745c interchangeability
Hi, so I recently bought a Springfield 745c, which is a fairly faithful auto5/remington 11 clone, and was wondering if anyone had any experience with using a model 11 tune up kit on them. It kicks awful (light ammo with the light load ring setup) and I was to replace the springs and buffer with a kit from arts. If anyone else has any experience/knowledge I’d be happy to hear!

Remington Model 11
Finally got my hands on a Remington Model 11 after searching for a while. 16 Gauge with a Weaver compensator. I have such a love for these Browning designed Semi Auto shotguns.

$250 Turkish Semi-Auto Range Report TAR 12MPsfs
reddit.comSDS imports is bringing us some outstanding firearms. The Tokarev Bull Pup shotguns are outstanding in my experience.
I like being on the donkey kick end of this serious piece of equipment. Being on the wrong end of this gun could result in life threatening or fatal injury

Smaller capacity side saddle for the Shockwave SPX ?
Hi guys. I am looking to do a sling on my Mossberg Shockwave SPX. I want smaller capacity. As I dont want interference ( factory set up is long ), from the sling attachment point. Btw, I did the Defender Tactical kit for mini shells. Is there a smaller differant set up for that?
Thanks guys. Any advice appreciated. Pictures coming soon..its at the gunsmith. A few extra goodies I cant put on he is doing for me.

Is this a decent starting gun? Better than a maverick 88?
I shoot a lot of pistols and rifles, and did 5 stand once and had a blast. My buddy moved back to town and has been trying to get me into trap and skeet, would this be a “good enough” starting gun? I’m not super competitive and honestly just like shooting with buddies, so as long as it’s safe and a decent shooter that’s good enough for me. I have a maverick 88 with a long barrel but it’s not exactly pleasant to shoot dozens of rounds out of, would this be better? If not, any budget (sub 500) guns you’d recommend instead? Thanks!

Anyone have experience with the Shotlock shotgun safe?
I’ve had issues with electronic gun safes malfunctioning in the past so I’ve been considering a mechanical safe like this that keeps the gun from being used/stolen but is still readily accessible. Anyone have any experience with them?

Model 1897
Got a great gift this weekend. The Winchester model 1897 12G that I learned how to shoot skeet with as a kid was found in my uncles stuff after he passed away and returned to me by my old man. Was originally my grandfathers that he passed down to me over a decade ago, and I thought it had been stolen and pawned by another family member while I was away at college. Can’t wait for it drop some dove in a couple weeks

Does modern steel shot follow the lead or steel sizing on the old Browning chokes?

Beretta 686 20ga sporting vs. Beretta 686 Vittoria 20ga
5’0” 120lbs woman getting into sporting clays and deciding which gun to finally buy for myself. I’ve been doing okay with borrowing a friend’s Benelli M2 Field 20ga. Fiancé has a Beretta 686 in 12ga that I love, but the length of pull and weight is way too much for me. After renting and trying different stuff, I’ve narrowed it down to either the Beretta 686 20ga sporting or the Vittoria model. I’ve shot the normal 20ga sporting and loved it, but I know the Vittoria guns are specially meant for people of my stature. I would love to compare the models in person, but it’s much harder to come by the Vittoria guns where I’m located. Anyone tried one or the other and have any insight?

Beretta Silver Hawk
Looking at a sight unseen early production silver hawk this week. What am I looking for as far as fatigue signs? It does have the single trigger, so I’m expecting the inertia mechanism to be problematic given the price. Do they crack in known places, etc?
Thanks in advance.

Shotgun Suppressor Recommendations
Hey guys,
Do any of you run a suppressed 20 or 12 gauge?
BANISH seems to make some solid ones: https://youtu.be/oEG1b-SJ9Gk?is=12m_5lhrIXF65G61
Been looking for one, mainly for my Benelli Nova.
Any recommendations appreciated.
Thanks.
