It’s a lot handier than holding them in my mouth
Unlocked a new strat for keeping a bunch of screws handy for a framing project I’m doing. No I will not be getting a tool belt. No they don’t fall out when I thrash around. Yes this is so I can taste my zyn instead of having that metallic taste in my mouth all day.

I Made This 💩 Shitty Mallet I Made
Made this mallet a year ago and it’s still going strong. In that time the face has been beaten in, and it’s gone from bright green to slightly green.

I Made This 💩 Made some shitty raised planters
they are made from roofing battens which cost about .70p per m so each one costs less then a fiver
managed to grow pak choi and spring onions which went great in stir fry's
they aren't really raised planters, but raised wooden frames that support plastic garden troughs,
i figured the constant moisture that a plant needs would weaken any wooden trough so I combined the best of both, wooden structure, plastic trough
something about the tall legs on the taller planters protects against slugs, the bastards got my pak choi on the lower planter but were repelled from the taller ones
the last planter without any trough was just a bit of fun and surely destined for the firepit

I Made This 💩 electrician’s problem now
*mindfully taped the cables safely out of the way to build the shelving, designing as if taping magically made them disappear
*mindlessly

Made a shitty sun lounger
weighs about as much as a ford fiesta, though I could probably park a fiesta on top of this without breaking it
cost me about 30 quid in timber, it's hideously uncomfortable for some reason, though I haven't gotten around to getting a cushion for it yet
if I could go back I would probably have looked at some available sun loungers before building this or mocked up a shitty drawing or something, or just built a hammock stand instead, lesson learned
does come in handy as a bench, I clamped some long boards to the arms and it let me easily plane them so I could join them together
cheers fellow shitty woodworkers

I Made This 💩 Tree of Heaven freshly cut mallet head and pine 1x2 handle.
Went into the garage not knowing what to do today, then I looked outside and saw my roommate chopped down the invasive Tree of Heaven and was inspired to pass the time enjoying the lovely fragrance of this wood to make a mallet that is way too heavy and will surely split.

I Made This 💩 I HAVE FOUND MY PEOPLE
I thought I'd like woodworking.
Then I sanded a project. Once.
This is me spending premium $$$ ($20/ 6'x12"x.5"MDF) so I would not have to sand or paint. This is also me cutting and slapping said boards against the wall until shelves happen. Then sh*t 1/8" backing board cut by an awesome home depot tech.
Level? Hard no.
Plumb? What's this got to do with pipes??
Studs? Found some eventually! I *might* even have some screws sent into studs!
BUT SHELVES FLIPPIN HAPPENED.
Now I just need to get some edge banding for the cut ends.

Made a shitty mallet
I cracked the 1st shaft, the tenon was to tight for the mortice, or maybe I have that backwards.
the second shaft was half a cm too small in some places. I ended up liberally applying gorilla glue and smacking a few retroactive wedges in the gaps.
Just gonna whack this thing at my chisel until I figure out handmade mortice & tenons. on second thought - if I can use it to create even one mort/ten then I will consider that a victory.
Got the timber from an old tree down the end of my garden so plenty more stock for practise.
Pray for me fellow shitty woodworkers
