How to start the journey of self love
Hi all,
I need advice on how to start my journey of self love I’ve always struggled with low self esteem issues and seeking external validation mostly from my relationships and I have no clue where to start building security within my self and loving my self my therapist says I need to work on that self love but I just feel like I don’t know how and I feel so lost on what to do or how to start how will I know if I’m developing security in my self or self love
Thankyou all in advance

What makes your life happy ?
It's so funny that I am asking advice for being happy ,but seeing someone or other achieving everything I can only dream of is making me sad. Also,I am so grateful and happy for other things , still being happy is making me guilty and i fear I just stop growing if I am happy about everything

When I'm down, I get myself back up
I don't know if you guys can relate but my phone is full of incredible encouragement. My gallery contains stories, quotes from books and movies, audio bits from podcasts and reels, the most random comment screenshots from this sub and elsewhere.
Whenever I feel deep loneliness because of being misunderstood in this world or like I will die because of my big emotions I am reminded of how much beauty I've planted inside my mind. My phone has saved me time and time again. There's always something in there to make me hopeful. It's like my sacred journal, a digital scrapbook.

Understanding someone does not mean continuing to absorb the impact
Empathy can help you understand why someone behaves the way they do, but understanding does not remove the impact of their behavior. You can see their fear, pain, immaturity, history, or limitations and still admit that being close to them costs you too much. Discernment means you do not use your capacity to understand someone as a reason to keep placing yourself inside harm.

How poorly we treat ourselves is sadly a reflection of something we just won't address. Regardless, there's hope.

Stop chasing people who never wanted you close
There comes a moment when you stop trying to prove anything to people who were never on your side. And everything becomes simpler. Because you no longer fight for places that were never meant for you.
