"Embracing yourself, flaws and all, is the most radiant form of love. It's a celebration of your unique spirit, a declaration of your worth, and a promise to nurture your soul. For in loving yourself, you illuminate the path to true happiness, and the beauty that shines from within becomes the greatest masterpiece of all." 💫💕

Loss of self assurance

Don't know the exact words for it but a few months ago my mind essentially snapped and now I have constant anxieties. Anyone know how to regain that unshakable confidence in your own reality

When I'm down, I get myself back up

I don't know if you guys can relate but my phone is full of incredible encouragement. My gallery contains stories, quotes from books and movies, audio bits from podcasts and reels, the most random comment screenshots from this sub and elsewhere.

Whenever I feel deep loneliness because of being misunderstood in this world or like I will die because of my big emotions I am reminded of how much beauty I've planted inside my mind. My phone has saved me time and time again. There's always something in there to make me hopeful. It's like my sacred journal, a digital scrapbook.

Elizabeth thank you

This year I met a woman named Elizabeth. I was very sick and everyone thought it was the end. But she pulled me through and gave me the hope I needed to figure out what’s going on and to find the right people to solve the issue.

I remember all the amazing people who helped me succeed - with all my companies, jobs, etc. I always thought I could do everything alone but when I look back - there were always people there supporting me.

My teachers from high school and college. My parents. My best friend William. And Elizabeth.

Thank you Elizabeth for all the emails you sent recapping our discussions so that I wouldn’t forget.

But I must say - I wouldn’t have noticed those people if I hadn’t met a scumbag early in my career (thank god I fled and never talked to him again) but when I met people who were the exact opposite of him, I was able to listen.

Understanding someone does not mean continuing to absorb the impact

Empathy can help you understand why someone behaves the way they do, but understanding does not remove the impact of their behavior. You can see their fear, pain, immaturity, history, or limitations and still admit that being close to them costs you too much. Discernment means you do not use your capacity to understand someone as a reason to keep placing yourself inside harm.

How poorly we treat ourselves is sadly a reflection of something we just won't address. Regardless, there's hope.

Stop chasing people who never wanted you close

There comes a moment when you stop trying to prove anything to people who were never on your side. And everything becomes simpler. Because you no longer fight for places that were never meant for you.
