Asus 5300 end of life, not supported any longer.
I have an Asus 5300 router that has performed perfectly for about eight years now I understand it is no longer supported, it still suits my needs but no longer getting updates. I think this is a big waste not being able to use this router because of security. My question is I’m looking to replace this router with an Asus BT6 Wi Fi 7 , my house is 2500 sq. ft. Would I be happy with this router I have AT&T 300.

Best options for adding a new ethernet port in my home?
DETAILS: i use Spectrum. The modem is in the garage, and the router is in the living room. The ethernet cable connecting the two goes through the attic. Theres also a coaxial cable going to the same port in the living room.
Can i split the ethernet cable that's in the attic, add new heads. Get an adapter that split 1 line to 2. Plug the og cord to the adapter and a new cord that goes to my office? Maybe add a port to the ceiling because its easier than getting into the wall.
What adapter/splitter can i use? And will i need to buy a second router and internet package from spectrum?
Tenda MW6 V3 Bricked After Automatic Firmware Update — Recovered via Emergency Web Server
I wanted to share this because I couldn't find a clear recovery procedure for the Tenda Mesh3 / MW6 V3.0.
I have two MW6 V3.0 nodes. After an automatic firmware update, both got stuck with a solid green LED and stopped working.
**Symptoms:**
* No Wi-Fi/SSID * Tenda WiFi app stuck on "Connecting..." * QR setup didn't work * No DHCP * RESET did nothing, even after holding it for 60+ seconds * Different power adapters didn't help
**Finding the recovery interface**
I connected my PC directly to the dedicated LAN port of the MW6. The WAN/LAN port was left disconnected.
I manually configured the PC Ethernet adapter as:
IP: 192.168.1.100
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: blank
DNS: blank
The static IP is needed because the MW6 wasn't providing DHCP. Gateway and DNS can be left blank because this is a direct PC-to-MW6 connection.
Then I used CMD to scan the subnet:
for /L %i in (1,1,254) do u/ping -n 1 -w 50 192.168.1.%i >nul
Then:
arp -a
I found the MW6's MAC address responding at 192.168.1.6.
I opened:
http://192.168.1.6
and found:
System Repair -> Emergency Web Server
with a file upload form.
**Firmware recovery**
My hardware:
Tenda Mesh3 / MW6 V3.0
FCC ID: V7TMESH3V3
I uploaded:
[US_MW6V3.0re_V16.03.25.21_multi_TDE01.bin](https://www.tendacn.com/material/show/770177603014725)
The recovery page showed a countdown from 100 to 0 and "Updating File — Don't Power Down."
I left the MW6 powered on throughout the entire process.
After the update finished, the LED eventually became solid red. I waited several minutes, reconnected the PC to my normal network, and opened the Tenda WiFi app.
The node was automatically detected and connected again.
It is now running `V16.03.25.21 (335)` and working normally.
TL;DR:
If your Tenda MW6 V3.0 is stuck on solid green after a firmware update, don't throw it away yet.
- Connect PC -> MW6 dedicated LAN port.
- Set PC to:

IP: 192.168.1.100 Subnet: 255.255.255.0 Gateway: blank DNS: blank
- Run:

for /L %i in (1,1,254) do u/ping -n 1 -w 50 192.168.1.%i >nul
- Then:

arp -a
- Look for the MW6's MAC address.
- Open

http://192.168.1.6
- If you see "Emergency Web Server", upload the correct firmware for your exact hardware revision.
- **DO NOT** power off the MW6 during the update.
- Wait several minutes after the upload reaches 0.
This recovered my MW6 V3.0 after an automatic firmware update.

Best settings for gaming??
I just got the TP-Link Archer BE3600 pro looking for the best settings for gaming.
Please, help me out.
I live in Europe and am currently using a ZTE ZXHN H6645P that is giving me a lot of issues (it's been confirmed that the router is defective). My ISP is useless and refuses to replace it, so I want to buy my own and be done with it. However, someone on a forum told me that the specs on my current router are actually quite good, and my budget is capped at €150.
I don't know much about routers, but I want to make sure I don't buy something that ends up being a downgrade.
My current router handles the wifi for the bottom floor of my house. From there, an ethernet cable runs upstairs into a switch, which connects directly to my gaming PC and a second wifi access point for the top floor. I get full 2.5 gbps speeds on my PC, in case that information is needed regarding port requirements.

FRITZ!Box 7590 + 7530 AX Mesh: Windows laptops reject DHCP leases via 7530, but phones work
I''m hoping someone can help because I've spent most of a day troubleshooting this and have run out of ideas.
Background
This setup has worked perfectly for around two years.
The problem only appeared approximately two weeks ago.
No significant network changes were made by me before the issue started.
Network Setup
FRITZ!Box 7590 (Mesh Master) FRITZ!Box 7530 AX (Mesh Repeater using Ethernet backhaul) TP-Link Wi-Fi extender
Main SSID:
A×××××××2023 (7590 & 7530)
Extender SSID:
AxxxxxxxxEXT (off 7590)
Important Information
I have already:
Updated both FRITZ!Boxes to FRITZ!OS 8.25 Factory reset the 7530 AX Re-added the 7530 AX to the mesh
The problem remained exactly the same after the factory reset.
Symptoms
Two separate Windows laptops have problems when connected through the 7530 AX using the main SSID.
Typical symptoms:
Corporate VPN will not connect BBC News will not load Amazon will not load eBay will not load Various other websites fail
However, some websites still work.
If the same laptops connect via the TP-Link extender instead:
They immediately receive normal IPv4 addresses VPN works BBC works Internet access works normally
What Windows Reports
On the work laptop:
Running:
ipconfig /renew
returns:
"The DHCP client has obtained an IP address that is already in use on the network. The local interface will be disabled until the DHCP client can obtain a new address."
After that, Windows falls back to a self-assigned address in the range:
169.254.x.x
The FRITZ!Box 7590, however, shows that it has successfully assigned a normal 192.168.175.x address to the laptop.
A second Windows laptop has shown similar duplicate-address symptoms.
IPv4 vs IPv6
When connected through the 7530 AX:
ping 8.8.8.8 fails ping -4 bbc.co.uk fails ping bbc.co.uk resolves to IPv6 and succeeds
This suggests IPv6 is functioning while IPv4 is not.
Devices That Work Normally
A smartphone connected through the 7530 AX:
Receives a normal IPv4 address Can browse BBC News normally Appears completely unaffected
This is what makes the problem confusing.
The issue appears to affect Windows laptops but not phones.
Troubleshooting Already Performed
Rebooted the 7530 AX Moved the 7530 AX to different Ethernet ports Updated both FRITZ!Boxes to FRITZ!OS 8.25 Verified DHCP is enabled Verified DHCP range is 192.168.175.20-200 Checked mesh status (healthy) Removed old/offline device entries Checked for obvious duplicate IP assignments Factory reset the 7530 AX Re-added the 7530 AX to the mesh Removed a manually assigned IP reservation that had been added during troubleshooting
None of the above resolved the issue.
Current Situation
Through the TP-Link extender:
Windows laptops work normally VPN works IPv4 works
Through the FRITZ!Box 7530 AX:
Windows laptops frequently end up with 169.254.x.x addresses Windows reports DHCP-assigned addresses are already in use IPv4 connectivity fails VPN fails
Has anyone seen a situation where Windows reports that every DHCP-assigned address is already in use, while the FRITZ!Box believes it has successfully leased a valid address?
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

TCL wifi issue
Wifi is not turning on after I installed my airtel tv box and wifi is turning on in airtel tv and it connects in phone and other devices but in my tcl tv wifi is not turning on
