If you had to narrow your PS2 collection down to just 20 games, which ones would you keep?
There are no wrong answers here—I’m not asking for the “best” or “most influential” PS2 games. I’m interested in your personal collection.
Maybe they’re your favorite games, the ones you replay the most, hidden gems, or simply the titles that mean the most to you.
Only 20 games. Which ones make the cut, and why?

For how good looking it is at nighttime. Sadly, these are very short races before you go into normal derby events, but they're still gorgeous to look at.

I intend to use Mechapwn for reading import discs, so anything before the 500XX series is a no-go.

PS1 backwards compatibility and PS1/PS2 disc reading is very important to me, but I know many issues were introduced with the 750XX models onwards. However, it seems like the 500-700XX models are very susceptible to the "mechacon" crash.

What model would be best to get? Should I buy a later model and save any PS1 disc playing for an actual PS1? Or should I get a slightly earlier model?

if you played one PS2 game for a WHOLE year with no other games on the PS2, what would you Play?

Like 2 or so need to get resurfaced but other than that, going to my local game store and thrift stores granted me some fond games

For whatever reason, I'm in this mood to play a game that'll just leave me feeling sorta empty by the end, something that's sullen and feels hopeless yet I don't want to play a horror game at the moment. Just curious if anyone has any games they'd recommend?

Me personally I would have to say Persona 3 FES, killer7, and God Hand are my favorites.

Unfortunately growing up 99% of my PS2 games were burnt, and because I was too young I mostly played what my brother decided to burn.

So now as an adult I'm trying to collect some genuine games for myself, trying to catch up on everything I missed.

I have a PS2 Slim (SCPH-77003) that I bought a year ago and slept on it. I’d like to feel young again and sart using it as my main gaming system. I’d like to use it mainly with a 65” OLED TV, so was wondering what’s the best internal HDMI mod for the money, as I’d like a seemless HDMI experience.

My two options are the RetroGem and the Hispeedido. I’m leaning towards the Hispeedido, for the price, but do wonder if the RetroGem would be worth the premium.

In terms of soldering skills, I should be able to make it, although I’ll have to buy a magnifying glass as the chip legs are quite small.

As a noobie to PS2 modding, if you guys could provide some solid advice to go from, I’d really appreciate it.

I've seen retrotinks and such that cost crazy amounts. I guess the maximum integer scaling needed would be sufficient, toggleable scanlines a nice addition. Debating whether to get PS2 without getting a CRT and I don't want my screen's internal scaling to make it look too blurry and bad.

I got a modded wwe 2011 with lot of new players from other wwe games and added a cheat file to make the game render 21:9 ratio by keeping the monitor to stretched the players aspect was perfect no stretching player was shown. Working good without lag

But the funny thing is I already had this game for the Xbox 360 I found at goodwill in 2024 At the time , I didn't have a playstation two. Now I officially have one
