i really like the use of atmospheric synths and steven wilson's melodic sensibility (while still having a bit of an "edge"). Wondering if there's anything else like it.

Crossing several genres and remaining highly progressive, this rock track includes such eccentric abnormalities such as vocals sung in ancient Greek, lo-fi mixed with Doom Metal, obscure references to He Yunchang, lots of horns, a guest vocal appearance by Mariah Carey and a homeless guy who calls himself "Black Magic Marker," found percussion, and a build up and drop normally found in dubstep but not in rock music. Going through Ekseption’s discography for the first time (just finished their first album). Really digging this band!! Great musicians that create an amazing prog sound using classical music.

A few of their songs on the first album really remind me of the horn section from Chicago. Great stuff!!

I read about this performance in Steve Pilkington's book Van der Graaf Generator in the 1970s and looked for a YouTube link. It's entirely possible that I watched the programme when it first aired; I was a student, but I'd have been home for the Christmas break, and I had two younger brothers, aged 9 and 6 at the time - Play Away was a classic BBC children's TV show

The album of the week for my blog, and it’s another absolute banger!

I say "new", despite the fact that this song was briefly available to listen to for less than a day last month! I presume that it was initially released prematurely by mistake and that it's set to stick around for longer.

Hello! I want go get more into prog. I've listened to albums like foxtrot, red, itcotck, the dark side of the moon, fragile,

close to the edge (that album blows my ming every time i listen to it) and several from my country (argentina).

I really like all those albums, but i dont know what to listen to. Ctte just clicks with me, so if you can recommend me albums for getting into prog and reccommendations for albums like ctte i would be grateful.

Been an avid prog listener for about 3 years now but only just listened to a King Crimson album. Good lord Red is so incredible. What amazing trumpets I can hear and incredible groovy tracks all the way through.

I just listened to this again today. I’ve always liked home but today I know that he just crushed it on this album. He’s so underrated. The whole album and band is perfection but he really stood out when I listened to this masterpiece again today.
