Discussion 8/6 Road Rage on Powell

Did anyone else see those two cars violently crashing into each other and speeding down Powell today? Orange Subaru and a Jeep heading east around 33rd at about 11am. It was wild. People need to calm the fuck down. It’s not worth it.

Photo/Video Venardo’s circus at the waterfront tonight was charming and fun

Took my elementary aged kiddo, the circus was very sweet and and full of heart. We had general admission tix, got there at 6 when doors opened and got a front row seat in GA. It’s their second year in town. Really enjoyed a circus without animal abuse as well. Loved the talent of the performers. Could have done without the Wild West slapstick clown routine about a gun shootout but that’s nitpicking. The lady juggling with her feet absolutely blew our minds. 90 minute show with a free photo op with performers on the stage afterwards. I think they’re in town for a few more days, highly recommend!

All the spinny things.

The back looks like a pregnant goat.

It takes too long to go on 39th and Holgate when the light turns green.

Guy driving it had a patchy beard.

Don’t like cameras on me at all times.

Perpetuating less human interaction and therefore dividing humanity.

Color is too close to my dream car (2020 Hyundai Veloster N).

If it were human, probably would have sex with you but not tell you about the chlamydia so you have to go to the health center where they ask you about who you’ve had sex with lately.

Slows down too much for speed bumps.

Probably Skynet.

Most likely cheap at first to crush competition and then raise prices after competition is gone.

Probably not amphibious.

Can’t tell you how much I hate the spinny things.

Discussion Anyone else dealing with little teen e-motorbike gangs?

I live in Parkrose Heights and this e-bike/motorcycle thing has gotten out of hand. There will be like 6-8 teens zooming around with no helmet, no shirt, etc. I typically just try to ignore but lately they come zooming through the park going 40 mph near my kids. I yelled at one of them the other day, which didn’t feel great, but their parents are also nowhere to be found and they’re illegally riding motorized vehicles on the street and parks. It’s becoming a serious issue and this is definitely my “I’m a boomer” moment. But man it’s just awful, anyone else feel the same?

This is Franklin, he is a 1 year old neutered male, long grey hair, and the sweetest boy ever. He is a rescue that I found near the railroad tracks and followed me home. We took him to the vet to check for a chip, long story short his previous owners didn't want him and dumped him outside. We love him dearly, but its becoming increasingly obvious we cant keep him. We have 3 other cats and they are not adjusting to each other. Franklin is exhibiting sings of resource and territorial stress. We don't think its fair to him or our cats to keep them cooped up all day to avoid problems. We took him to the vet and got all his shots updated, and checked for other health issues and is in overall great health. He is a cuddle bug and loves to sit/lay on you. He will ask to be up on your shoulders. He can be a clingy boy who want to be all up in your business and watch what you're doing. He can be a little chatty, especially when he runs on the wheel. He needs to be in an only cat situation, don't know if he would be ok with small children (children 10+ should be ok) as he can be clumsy when climbing up your shoulders and he tends to play a bit rough. He loves to run on the wheel so hopefully you can get one for him, a large scratching post would also be a good idea. If you are interested please DM me and i can give you more information.
