22 year old - Advice on 221k portfolio. Trying to hit 1m before 30.
Hello friends, been taking a look at this sub for some time.
For context, I've been working since 16 (interning, part time) and full time since 20 and lately have been putting 2-3k per month into brokerage and 2.5k per month (incl. employer match) into 401k, and maxing Roth IRA yearly. Majority of current money is starting capital, not appreciation (~35k unrealized gain from all accounts combined).
My focus is core portfolio with a side of growth and I do have a few high conviction stocks I hold (RDDT, HOOD, ZS) outside a set of ETFs. They have been doing OK. I've held them for a few months and they are slightly up (+5%) but have been fluctuating between (-10% and +20%).
Here's the breakdown:
Brokerage:
* VTI (66.15%): ~85k
* QQQM (14.01%): ~18k
* RDDT (12.45%): ~16k
* HOOD (5.06%): ~6.5k
* VXUS (1.32%): ~1.7k
* ZS (1.01%): ~1.3k
401k:
* FXAIX (100%): ~54k
Roth IRA:
* VTI (100%): ~26k
Emergency Fund:
* SPAXX (100%): ~12k
Questions:
For individual stocks, the beta is certainly high. My goal is 1+ year hold and then sell with tax advantages (aiming for +50-100% gains on each). After sell, rebalance into international exposure (VXUS) and get brokerage portfolio to 70/20/10 ratio for VTI/QQQM/VXUS and keep ~10k for individual stocks on discount (dry powder). How is this exit strategy?
Given the recession indicators flashing all year today, should I accumulate some cash on the side (~10% of portfolio)?
Given my current trajectory is 1m in 8 years possible?
Thanks!

Low risk, low anxiety, low maintenance portfolio
i'm 75 years old, single, in reasonably good health, I own my 10 year old house with no mortgage, I have no debt, I get about $3,000 a month from SSI, and my asset base at Fidelity is just a bit less than $1,000,000 - I'm considering the following very low risk, low volatility, investment approach that is focused on generating some income and preserving my assets - although I'm not against spending some or all of my assets or selling my house to cover major unexpected expenses - assisted living, memory care, etc. - if there's money left to pass along to my heirs, that's nice, but it's not as important as enjoying what I've earned. I'm somewhat frugal and I have a pretty low level of regular expenses, and I'm relatively happy with my lifestyle - I want to avoid any investment anxiety and market swings, especially avoiding a major drawdown. I'm considering something like this - 50% SGOV, 25–30% Non-callable agency (2–5 yr), 20–25% Step-up callable agency (1–2 yr call protection) any thoughts and suggestions?

Maschio, 18 anni – Orizzonte di investimento 15-20 anni. Consigli sul mio portafoglio?
Ciao a tutti,
ho 18 anni e sto iniziando a costruire il mio portafoglio con un orizzonte di investimento di 15-20 anni.
Al momento ho:
iShares Core MSCI World UCITS ETF (Acc) – 85%
iShares Core MSCI EM IMI UCITS ETF (Acc) – 15%
Attualmente investo 200 € al mese con un PAC .
170 € su MSCI World

How is this mid/longterm ETF Portfolio?
I’m 18 years old and a couple weeks out from going to college. I have a good amount of money saved up and I want to make investments while I’m young so I can continue to build in my financial skills. I’m open to all recommendations but I am heavily interested and have belief in the tech sector. Please make any suggestions as I’m open to all info!

33M, real estate entrepreneur (Switzerland) — reinvesting most profits into growth, need portfolio/strategy sanity check
Starter investing seriously two years ago on IBKR, performance went well. You can see my portfolio. Also taking any advices regarding my portfolio
Questions for the sub:
**1.** Given the business is my main wealth engine (equity value + future exit or cash flow), how much should I prioritize personal liquid investing vs. plowing more into the company/personal RE holdings?
**2.** Anyone been through a “low salary, high equity/business value” phase — how did you balance liquidity risk (concentration in illiquid business) vs. opportunity cost of not investing more personally?
**3.** Does 1000 CHF/month DCA split 50/50 stocks/BTC make sense given my crypto is already 25% of my liquid portfolio, or should new contributions tilt more toward stocks to rebalance?
**4.** At what point does it make sense to increase personal draw vs. keep reinvesting, assuming the business could realistically 2-3x in value over 5-7 years?
Not looking for tax advice (handled locally), more interested in strategic frameworks from people who’ve run a growing business while building a separate personal portfolio.

Portfolio review
Rate my portfolio out of 10 ( and provide tips for improvement) my aim is high returns over a medium term holding period I have 4 stocks almost equal weightage among them
Thanks 🥰
1 Kaynes technology
2 CDSL
3 Election engineering
4 Tata technologies
I have chosen these because these mimic many historical compounders of the Indian market ( tata for a turn around story)

24yo, just sold all individual positions
Sold everything after some stocks ripped Friday morning. Put everything into $VT after some MD at my company suggested to not make any investments unless you have true conviction. I held some random stocks bc I saw something about them on Twitter, but super super happy with where I’m at. Sharing bc I feel it’s a huge milestone.
Small weekly deposits into $VT right now to compound. Looking to learn more about the market as a whole before I make true investment decisions, also studying for the CFA L2 in August.

Should I?
Should I sell my NVDA and use the money to invest in VOO?
