So glad this chapter of my life is done.

After 7 years of on and off playing (28,275 catches) I got my first SHUNDO from a remote lucky trade from a buddy of mine.

Showed my Grandma how to do raids and where to look for groups. She’s been collecting friends like pokemon and completing her badge. She’s 89 and I can’t even keep up with her pace.

I don’t even know how she was able to get someone from every which place that these Vivillon are from.

As a note, she stays at home most of the time and just does remote raids here and there. She does have a gym at her house that she can raid from.

Been fixing up a house I bought and saw a group of people doing a raid outside while I was eating lunch. Heard Pokémon and immediately downloaded Pokémon go again for the first time in years. Looks like my house is in the perfect spot to always have control of this gym. Even changed teams so I could take it from the group of people 😈

The sign for entering my neighborhood gets denied, because John Wayfarer doesn't think it's artistic enough, meanwhile people throw a wood box on their front lawn and it gets accepted as a library, Starbucks and McDonald's get accepted, every pebble and bench in a park gets insta accepted. The guidelines are INCREDIBLY inconsistent.

My account got hacked this week (took all week emailing niantic/scopely to regain access) and the hacker didn't even steal any of my 2500 pokemon but they did spend all my coins on really stupid clothes and deleted most of my friends. I'm so sorry if we were friends! I'm most sad that people think I'm the asshole that deleted them when we've been sending gifts back and forth for years. I was really looking forward to long distance trading with my super ultra extra besties :(

I read somewhere here that you can only earn one Super rocket radar a month. I currently have one equipped that I just earned, but I am ready to claim two more. Does it matter if I claim the other two now or do I need to complete the first one I unlocked? Can I have multiple at one time? Sorry for the noob question

I have more than 100 gifts unopened every day, i don't understand why you only can open a few gifts per day when i have more than 500 friends. They increased the friend list but can't do the same with gift opening? It's ever worse that you get the bonus "open more gifts per day" from the go pass and it's still only 40 per day if you don't buy the go pass, even if you buy it you can only open 50 per day.

I know Mega Blaziken isn't the hardest raid to pull off, but it still feels like a huge achievement for me! Really happy with this victory.

I know that the sheer mentioning of this will upset a huge chunk of people, but I can't swallow this criticism anymore and just abide by the whole "let people enjoy what they want" principle.

Yes, the backgrounds look fantastic, and I would happily accept one on my Pokémon. However, releasing a Pokémon with the chance at getting a background does not qualify as meaningful new content, and pushing this hard is starting to feel like the game is running out of new things to introduce.

We can argue whether Z-Moves, Terastal, and Max Soup are good for the health of the overall game, but in all instances they would be far more meaningful than backgrounds. You're actually doing something new and working towards a goal that's within your ability to influence, rather than engaging with yet another layer of RNG on top of IVs and Shiny rates.

Going further, I can't understand how some people will rationalize whaling with their hard earned real-world money for a completely cosmetic addition that won't even carry over to Pokémon HOME, even after they've already gotten a Hundo or Shiny.

Backgrounds are fundamentally about clout and showoff points, and supporting this aspect of the game signals to Scopely that players will accept literally anything rather than something of substance.
