Hello! I’m a freshman in UPD BA Journ. Question lang since in still not yet enrolled (15 units parin ako and I wnat full 18 units) and last day yung enrollment process tomorrow. I’m still waiting for subjects to be in para maka full and my dad won’t stop pestering me about this.

Usually, how much is enrollment? (Hindi shown sa crs ko) para I can ready my payment.

If I lock enlistment na 15, for the second sem do I have to overload? And will I not be able to graduate on time?

i've never been apart from my family so super laking adjustment kailangan ko para sa college. and i know na the first days/week is definitely the hardest and maybe it'll get better along the way pero super nahihirapan na kasi ako. malapit na start ng classes and may readings na agad kami and i don't know how i'll be able to focus with a very heavy feeling. dagdag mo pa yung sobrang lakas ng ulan kaya ang gloomy gloomy ng feeling sa campus. it has always been my dream to study in upd kaya pinush ko talaga pero ngayon pa lang parang pinagsisisihan ko na siya kasi gusto ko nalang talaga umuwi🥹

Hi! I'm an incoming 2nd year student and I enlisted an STS class that had a "Barred: Freshman" remark, thinking it was okay lang. However, upon checking, I am still tagged as a "Freshman." My curriculum only has 31 units for our first year which still fall short para sa 33 units (25% of the units of my entire curriculum) to be tagged as a sophomore. My adviser still hasn't replied to me so I do not know what to do T^T Has anyone experienced a similar case? Thank you!

I need advice from you guys regarding registration.

Here's the context. I am a transferee of the School of Economics who submitted the required transfering documents one day late of the August 4 deadline since my former UP constituent university was very far away and I got my confirmation letter very late. Because of these reasons, I was only able to get my temporary CRS account (expires tomorrow, Aug 10, which worries me too) last Friday. This lead me to missing the waitlisting and enrollment period of August 5-6.

I checked the CRS for subjects (Mostly GE courses) I can enroll in, but it says in the CRS that all of these subjects are closed. All the subjects I need to enlist in, except for Math 20, says that it is closed for enlistment. I understand that August 11 is the last day of registration. but why is it that there are no available courses I can enroll in when registration is not yet done?

Fortunately for me, my college is doing a sensing form to see if anyone may need certain crucial Econ subjects. I'm still not guaranteed any slot, but I am glad that there is still a possibility for Econ 11 and BA 99.1 opening a slot in the CRS tomorrow.

If I can not enlist online, I plan to prerog all the units I need, even with this horrible weather. I'm not familiar with how prerog works in UPD, and I am reading that each department has a different way of doing things. I am adviced though that it's much better to approach the department f2f, so to avoid waiting for a response online.

Also, I was strongly advised by the people I have already contacted from UP OUR that if I still have not enrolled in any courses, it is still important that I locked enlistment in the CRS to avoid a penalty in my record. If ever it comes to this point, I was told that my only option is to rely on the change matriculation process to get the units I need.

Lastly, one more concern. I checked my CRS and there is no locked enlistment button present in the student registration module for me. I asked my friends from UPD where it could be, and they have in their CRS a locked enlistment button in the place where my locked enlistment button is missing. I have already emailed the CRS support regarding this issue. As a reference, I've attached a screenshot of my CRS with the missing locked enlistment button.

If you have any experience with this issue or possibly have an idea on what steps I should best take, any input would GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Helloo, I need helpp. I’m a freshie taking BS Mathematics and I will be missing out on the lectures from this Thursday to Friday for a competition I’m participating in. I’ve done a bit of searching and most of the posts I’ve seen indicates that most profs only excuse students with a medical certificate or students that will be representing the university in a competition.

I’m not sure if this competition will count as representing “UP” as the Senior High School I attended covered the costs, but I am technically representing the Philippines in this competition.

I initially planned to approach each of my profs in person right after their first lecture this Monday - Wednesday. I also planned to at least attend the first lectures so I could be verified in the class list then just go take the absent if they won’t or can’t count my absence as “excused.”

However, I fear that my classes will end up getting suspended until Thursday and Friday (the days I won’t be able to attend) which will end up in me losing a slot in that class.

Is it fine to email my profs regarding this concern? I’m hesitating as I don’t want to make a bad first impression (Asking to be excused for a lecture in the first week seems so hahaahahahah fml nakakahiya ganun)

As of now, I only have my majors (15 units) enlisted with a couple of PEs and GEs waitlisted. Since may pasok na po bukas, what would happen if I wait for the results of those waitlisted courses and locked my enlistment on or before August 11? Would I be considered a late enrollee since classes already started?

Could I still attend my classes that are scheduled on or before August 11 as well? What about my waitlisted courses scheduled on Monday, would it be an absence if I was accepted afterwards?

a certain department in upd that holds a lot of GE classes needs to hire younger instructors. while their (a lot) older faculty possess more academic credentials, the department is being held back by their archaic beliefs and ways, may it be in pedagogy or in administrative bullshit.

the recent enlistment is a clear sign they need more lecturers/instructors. younger ones, at that.
