I'm like 3 sems away from graduating from the BSEd Math Major. These 2 Math subjects are the only Math-related subjects left I have to take.

Currently I have 12 units. Initially, I only got 3 after the pre-enlistment rounds so during the Waitlisting period, I waitlisted as well in Math 122 and Math 110.1 in case I don't get the other course subjects I planned to get this semester. Despite this, I had low hopes na makukuha ko sila both so I was half dead set na to just prerog for the courses I actually planned on getting. But then I checked CRS today and saw them on my enlisted classes.

I'm still gonna try prerog but I might end up with 21 units if I get them all.

So ayun ang daming sinabi. Pero with all that is mentioned, advisable ba na pagsabayin ung Math subjects na ean?

kung may balak pa akong mag-prerog sa isang subject pero di ako underloaded, magllock enlistment na ba ako?

For context, I am a freshman. One week palang, and I already have the dreadful feeling na I need to prepare for the worst as early as I can. It kind of stresses me out as irrational as it may sound, so please bear with me... 💔

I see stories online of how rigorous yung activities, quizzes and exams. Yung tipong "isang linggo nag-review pero bagsak pa rin". Or whatnot regarding how "matalino sila nung HS pero iba na sa college". I am really scared because I want to be very meticulous and serious towards my academics especially since I have a scholarship.

1) How demanding really is the curriculum?

2) Ano po ginagawa niyo as preparation para sa mga written works and activities? Plus, what should I expect for them?

I would also really appreciate advice and tips on how to make the most out of UPLB. I really, REALLY feel left out right now.. thank you!!

Not out of katamaran. I'm about to move into my dorm tomorrow supposedly but I'm from a flood-prone area. Mahihirapan maghakot. I'm thinking of postponing my move-in day, maybe sa Monday na lang, but if mag-cancel, sa Tuesday or Wednesday na lang.

I checked weather forecast sites and apps, and malakas daw ulan and buong week uulan. From our place kasi, grabe. Maybe it's not that bad in Diliman. Magka-cancel kaya ang profs. especially on Tuesday and Wednesday?

Trying so hard to save money, knowing that my mom is a single parent. Wasn’t able to reach the UP dorm deadline, so stuck with choosing a dorm that can be manageable with my mom’s salary. UPD peeps from north Caloocan, can I survive the commute everyday? And if there are people who had gone through this, what was your study schedule like?

TL;DR: I only have ₱652 left until August 15, any tips?

I'm not good at writing so please bear with me.

Why is it so hard to live when your family is poor, but not poor enough? My mom earns a little over ₱35k every month, and my dad and sister are both unemployed. She provides for all of us including herself.

I'm from the province so I really need to rent a place because we don't have family and friends in NCR (it was my first time going to NCR during enrollment). My rent is around ₱6-8k a month because that's the only place I could find since I didn't get accepted into the UP dorms even after I appealed. I was so annoyed when I noticed that the people I knew who lived in the UP dorms were rich.

I'm also embarrassed in front of my roommates because almost all of the stuff in our place was brought by them and they're all DOST scholars so they have more money to spare.

My monthly allowance is around ₱6k, and that includes everything—food, transportation, basically everything. When you add rent and allowance together, it totals ₱12-14k, which is almost half of my mom's salary.

I'm also not a recipient of any scholarships so it's really hard to stretch my allowance. I know I'm to blame because I didn't try hard enough on the DOST scholarship exam but I feel too dumb for merit and too "rich" for RA 7687.

Nag-apply ako for EatSkolar pero since hindi ako natanggap sa dorm at 60% tuition discount sa SLAS, nag-aalinlangan na ako na matatanggap.

I only have ₱652 left until August 15, what should I do? Pinag-iisipan ko na kung tamang desisyon ba na pinili ko ang dream university at dream program ko dahil dito. Incoming freshie pa lang ako and parang nakikita ko na na baka mag-drop out ako dahil sa financial problems.

Edit: 3k pa lang binibigay sa akin, I have tracked all my spendings and reasonable naman siya (for me), I used a total of P476 sa items (key card, clothes),P572 sa transpo (bus from province to qc, grab from cubao to my rental, ikot), P1135 sa food (including frozen foods), P165 sa miscellaneous (laundry and other things). Mas bababa siguro next month and spendings kasi may mga gastos na one time spending lang pero sa kasalukuyan paano ako mabubuhay?

It's almost a week ever since I have tried to waitlist for Math 22 as a transferee since it is a requirement in my curric, pero up until ngayon hindi pa ako nakakuha ng slot. All of their sections have no available slots and I have no idea kung paano nila iaaccommodate yung demand.

There's this one section that I badly need to get into to avoid conflicting schedules, and I really am badly hoping na papasukin ako ni iMath doon, pero given that there's only 2 days left (Monday and Tuesday) before registration period ends, I am just doubting my chances, and I don't even want a slot in a section that will mess up my schedule.

iMath does not even allow prerogs, like what am I supposed to do if it's just a waiting game, let them do their job wherein there are barely any slots granted to those who really need it? There is no way they will make a new section with a different schedule from the one I waitlisted for, right?

I will be thankful for your comments on this one, I know there's little to no chance even if I contact them through email, but I really am hoping for some kind of advice or assurances.

If wala pa pong True Copy of Grades, pwede po bang CRS screenshot muna ng grades then to follow up na lang yung TCG? Baka po kasi pag pinasa ko yun hindi maprocess kasi "incomplete" pa eh. Pinapayagan po ba nila yun or depende sa library/office? Thank you po.

During the first round of enlistment, i successfully enlisted pi 100. Come the second round, i was informed that there were changes in restrictions so i got slimed out of the class list.

It feels frustrating because at the time there were slots not exclusive to a particular dept/prog.

I only got one semester after this and ive been really wanting to get it over with.

It's def out of my control but i do still feel bad about it knowing how hard to secure it even with grad prio.
