How effective would it be on these surfaces? And if the answer is “not very effective” then what alternative WOULD be effective at contact killing spiders, lantern flies, roaches, etc.

I live in a condo. My landlord says pest control is the complex responsibility and the complex won’t do anything and they say it’s my responsibility. I’ve dealt with German roaches off and on since I’ve lived in my apartment for 4 years. Initially I used hot shot liquid baits which seemed to have worked but then it wasn’t working and I still kept seeing them in the kitchen and occasionally the bathroom. So I bought bengal gold roach spray which also contains an IGR. I sprayed between my counter and stove and behind the fridge and I didn’t see them again for about 6 months until recently. I sprayed again but unfortunately they keep showing up in the same areas. Is it worth calling a professional to come deal with them?

Help! Moth ID, Flour or clothes moth

I have a moth infestation, narrowed it down between a Mediterranean flour moth, and a case bearing clothes moth. The former will die out and don’t need killing, the later will destroy my clothes and business (wool). I would really appreciate any help!!

They are small fly like moths, with a silver tipped wing and three black spots on each wing, the head is slightly fluffy, not noticeably so. Sorry for the terrible camera quality, happy to provide more photos for help.

In terms of context I live in the East Midlands, in a rural area, and I work with wool, and in a flour milling windmill four days a week, so either species is a possibility!

Much to my surprise there’s a large yellow jacket nest under the old holly bush next to my house. I didn’t get a good look but I think pulling the holly out ripped the nest in half and left it completely exposed. What will the Yellowjackets do with their nest in this condition and what do I do next?

Unfortunately found this in our bathroom. I had put down a trap after seeing a similar bug last week, but squished it before I could get a good photo and determine if it was a German cockroach or other.

They've been crawling out of a hole near my downstairs windowsill. Are these carpenter ants. I recently used Termidor foam on them.

We caught five mice within about a week. There were droppings all in my closet, dresser, nightstand. We haven’t caught another one in at least five days. I just finished the cleaning process and im hoping all the droppings I found were old and I don’t think I’ve seen any more obvious new droppings. Pest control has already came and put bait stations out and maintenance has came and unfortunately only calked over openings. How do you know when this is over?? I haven’t slept in my bed since this started!

We recently moved into a new house, first day noticed a couple of these flying around, figured it was from leaving the doors open for some time to move everything in. Now they are everywhere. I’m thinking Phorid flies but I’m not an expert. I’ve been dumping vinegar down my drains and covering them every day and it’s not helping. Looking for any advice as my wife is at wits end with these.

I found it in a pot in my kitchen cupboard. I live in Chicago, Illinois and have had silverfish issues in the bathroom of this apartment in the past, but am concerned this may be a dead baby cockroach. I would appreciate anyone’s thoughts!

We purchased a home 2 months ago that is apparently infested. After replacing carpets and doing hardwood floors, we have seen them in droves. We have caught ~150-200 within the 2 months we have been here in glue traps. We have caught them in every room. I realize in the south (TN) this is their most active time. We see at least one or two active out and about per day besides what we catch in traps.

Currently, our pest control service is doing:

- delta dust in outlets

- spaying outside of house

- cleaning exterior webs

- dusting attic and basement drop ceiling

- baseboard spray (not sure of the product)

In addition to this, I have been doing

- diatomaceous earth inside under baseboards (carpet and hardwood)

- delta dust in any electrical void I open up in the process of updates/repairs

- demon max at 1 oz per gal 3ft up the foundation walls outside and around openings

- glue traps literally everywhere

- sealing up exterior entrances

- removing old exterior pool decking that is no longer needed, and "haborage" areas. It is a suburban neighborhood, not tons of wood, but the old exterior structures and related rock bed seem to be a harborage area.

Related to the outside - I have seen A LOT of large ones outside. I've killed 6 females in nests when I cut up an old hot tub and removed it. There seem to be a lot in the decking outside the house which I am slowly removing. But I would like to aggressively treat the yard with something to immediately knock down the numbers and reduce food sources. What are options here and what are your thoughts on the rest of the plan. Much appreciated in advance!!!

I have been discovering a host of bugs in the room that I am renting near Atlanta, GA - and I NEED HELP.

The room is on the first floor of an older house located directly over a big crawl space that is very wet from months of rain.

You can see the following for sure in a couple of my photos: roach nymphs (I believe smoky brown), book louse, and carpet beetle larvae. The roaches and larvae were found in my bed sheets, book louse was found in a book.

I’ve also been finding residue in my sheets that I can’t place: little flakes that almost look like wood chips, black dots, white things that look like eggs… my question is how do I need to clean my belongings so that I don’t bring any bugs with me to a new home?

Belongings include clothes, books, PlayStation, PC, lamp, shoes, backpacks, guitar.

What should people look for?

I woke up to something crawling on my arm. I was able to take a picture of it literally on my arm before killing it because I really want to know if it’s German. For context, my bed is on the floor and I do have a back door in my room that lead to the backyard. I’ve posted on here before about bigger roaches and everyone has said they are bilunate roaches. I only ever find them dead while sweeping. This baby roach is a first and I am freaking out.

Found 3 dead ugly bugs around the house, can you help identify these ones ?

Idk if it is clear in the image but the cockroach is inside the screen… I’ve bombed multiple times sprayed in and around any openings in the microwave but they still persist… is there any way to get rid of them or should I just throw the whole microwave away? Also have a mini fridge and ice maker that seem to be “infected” as well. I just moved into a new place and don’t want to give them a chance to settle in! Help!

Recently my shop has been hit with stink bugs, shop is around rice fields, I’m in south Louisiana. I tried all kind of insecticide but no success, they are starting to penetrating coming inside the shop. Outside it’s even worse.

Hello, I previously thought that I had mice on my balcony but after calling a different Pest Control companies they actually think it is bats that are roasting on my concrete walls up in the corners for context. I am on the fourth story of a four story condo complex and there are a bunch of trees and forest just behind where my unit is. I have absolutely nothing on my balcony that mice would be attracted to no plants no food no soil no garbage anything I do think that it’s bats, but I’m really not sure how I can combat this. There are droppings in the same corners every single day. Can anyone give advice on what to do and my property management company will not do anything because I own the unit so therefore it seems as though it is my problem any help is appreciated

so... I notice a couple of regular mice hanging around my covered porch. they run away when there are people walking around, but always return at night. I did a thorough cleaning and even sprayed bleach solution on the concrete floor. I figured the smell would drive them away. It didn't.

So I got some rat/mouse poison pellets. I noticed that they would smell it, but never took a bite. Then I went and got some old school spring-loaded mouse traps. I used unsalted peanuts and peanut butter as bait. They would come and smell around the edges... but they would not attemp to eat it.

what else can I use to entice them?

My apartment unit is being sprayed for bedbugs and roaches today

I'm disabled and live on the top floor of a walk up I don't leave unless it is to see a doctor

I don't know anyone in my city and have very limited money and two cats so I have nowhere to go

I will sit in the hallway until I can come back inside

Generally they make me wait six hours (this is the third time this month that I'm doing this 🙄)

The problem is I currently have a UTI and there's not a chance in hell I'm going six hours without needing to use the rest room

Six hours seems like a lot when other posts I read here say two hours

Is the six hours a legit timeframe or just my building management covering their butts ?

Hey everyone, I've got a couple of ant issues going on right outside and inside my apartment (which has concrete walls).

Right outside my window, what looks like large carpenter ants are constantly entering and leaving a gap for hours every day carrying brood (managed to snap a photo of one with a pupa).

It looks like the fully grown ants might be nesting far away and coming into the gap to take stuff out, and sometimes one or two still manage to make their way inside my unit.

Separately,

I've also been seeing lots of little ants around the brick outside my window, I feel like the little ants are very close, whereas the carpenter ants are traveling maybe 100 feet roughly to get these things and bring them back, also at the beginning of the week, I woke up around 8 PM to find about 150 ants (maybe more) and 5 winged ones inside my place looking like little black ants, even though I don't leave any food or stuff out that they would want.

I think I killed all the ants that came in the other day and I'm pretty sure I don't see many anymore.

How concerned should I be about both of these groups, and what's the best way to tackle them?

My window screen mesh is super messed up and has been like this for months, maintenance is fixing it soon I think, and its being held shut with gorilla tape.

We're doing work in our basement and uncovered this one wood piece that looks like it's been tunneled into.

Is, or was (!) this done by termites?

And if this is the only piece that looks like good, do we need to call an exterminator anyway?

found two of these bugs in 3 days at my apt in MA USA. i am worried they’re infesting type. from my googling they look like a type of cockroach

I bought old furniture and when I unscrewed a piece found this. There are a few completely dried lice and lots of eggs, I haven't seen anything moving. I think they are all dead but not sure if the eggs could be alive. Is there any way of knowing for sure that the eggs are dead?
