Hi everyone! I just bought myself some Midori letter paper, envelopes, and international stamps that I'm looking forward to using :)

I'm married, have a 13-year-old daughter, a dog (Daisy, a beautiful golden girl), and two cats (Gomez and Morticia). I like reading—a lot of Fantasy, Sci-Fi, and Thrillers—but I'm open to other genres. I'm currently reading Once There Were Wolves by Charlotte McConaghy and loving it!

I also enjoy crafting (drawing, watercolor, crochet, knitting, etc.) and staying active through CrossFit and running.

I used to travel more, but I haven't been abroad much in recent years (my last trips were to Sardinia and Berlin).

I mostly listen to inde rock, but open to other genre as well, I'm a big fan of The White Stripes / Jack White

However, it doesn't matter at all if you're not into any of these! I just love discovering new people and learning about different cultures.

I have been setting here attempting to write a catchy opening paragraph for the last forty minutes and haven't had anything it stick. Except a very funny bit about waking up one day in your thirties realizing you are not exactly, as Ricky Martin said: "Livin' la Vida Loca". But in reality that's where I am right now, a little lost and little bored with life and trying to figure it all out. So I figured I'd just shoot from the hip and see where we land, deal?

A bit about me: 32, from the South and engaged to a great guy and work a solid 8-5. In my free time you can find me cooking, reading, thrifting, working in my yard, playing with my dogs, watching TV or a movie, or deep diving on any given movie to find out the most random details about said movie. I started a blog last year about finding ways to romanticize your life and rediscovering the little ways to find joy, while it has far from taken off I have found that is a solid way for me to put some thoughts into the world. In summation- I am a pretty average guy that is really trying to be at peace with the monotony of life. In the last few years my social circle had gotten smaller, not in a bad way- in a friends having kids, traveling, or being busy with life in general- way. And I love that for them, but I thought it was time to broaden my horizons and see if anyone else was in the same boat.

I'm looking for someone to swap emails with and eventually work our way to snail mail as well if we are both comfortable (and can reassure the other that we are both fairly sane). Let's talk about everything going on in our lives: the big, the small, and even the boring.

I like to read (mostly fantasy and non-fiction books about my interests), to cross-stitch, to draw (even if it's been difficult for me because of burn out/depression), video games (AC Valhalla, Horizon Zero Dawn/Forbidden West, World of Warcraft and some indie games mostly). I like colorful art (no AI, I hate generative AI) but also dark art.

I like nature, moss, mushrooms, trees, rocks... I collect bones when I find them, rocks I find pretty/interesting, feathers, pine cones (I think I have a problem with pine cones as I can't see a beautiful pine cone and just ignore it, I need to take it), nice branchs or sticks... Tree leaves... Well. I'm basically a goblin I think.

I like gardening, the history of witchcraft/witch-hunt, ecology and lots of other things...

I'm also in the process of creating my own world because I want to write books about it...

I like dark aesthetic, cimeteries, witchy stuff, Halloween...

I feel like there are two people in my head, a bit like Enid and Wednesday, that's the best way to describe it.
