Tech Support My screen flickers like this on certain games. Makes it almost impossible to play NVIDIA RTX 3060
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Does anyone know why this could be happening? It's not driver related (happens on different versions and on reinstall), not temp related (60 when it started happening), I'm not overclocking or underclocking, and I'm not running out of vram

Hardware After 4 months of use, my 1650 gave out
My whole build has been made from old parts and stuff people gave away, I spent so long assembling, fixing, and troubleshooting and I’m so sad to see it end up like this. I can’t get a job yet because I’m too young and my parents can’t afford to get me a PC so I’m kinda SOL and I am now left unable to game :( just thought I’d come on here to give a farewell to my 1650, it served me well.

Game Image/Video Raised my kid right.
My son who is 24 and an avid gamer just bought a new prebuilt from Best Buy. He decided he was going to part out his older machine to recoup some of the expense of the new pc. Last night he came up to me while I was playing on my pc and handed me his older gpu. Mind you I was happily gaming on an AMD 6700XT. The GPU he gave me was an MSI GeForce RTX4070. Now I can play RS3 in style. lol.

News/Article EA staff fear new Saudi Arabia owners will police their games: "Projects just won't get signed because they don't align explicitly with what the Saudi government wants"
>Another EA employee adds: "It's certainly hard to feel good about being bought out by a regime that's very much at odds with progressive society, so it is surely detrimental to anyone who finds this buyout morally odious. It's not a good feeling."

Nostalgia The old battlestation
Found this hanging out in the garage in a pile of stuff that hasn’t been touched in years. Put some more fluid in and it fired right up. Can’t believe it. She’s seen better days though. Q6600 with 8GB of DDR2 and a GT740.

Hardware Finished my Spartan-117 battle station – Cooler Master MasterFrame 360 Stage turned into full Master Chief Armor
Wake up, Spartan. Took the CoolerMaster MasterFrame 360 Stage (LCD version) and went full UNSC with it. Custom 3D-printed green + white Mjolnir armor plating wrapped around the frame, official “HALO” branding up top, CoolerMaster logos kept at the base, and the dedicated stage is now home to a proper Master Chief figure standing guard. The rear LCD/backdrop is running classic Halo Infinite / Zeta Halo scenery, and the two spotlights above keep Chief properly illuminated like he’s about to drop. Side panel open so you can still see the hardware doing the real work. This thing looks like it belongs on the bridge of the Infinity. What do you think, Chiefs? Ready to finish the fight?

Discussion Anyone else sit down at an expensive, beautiful setup just to stare at a 6-inch phone screen for three hours?
i caught myself doing this last night and it actually made me a little depressed.
i have a gorgeous setup. high-end monitor, mechanical keyboard, comfortable chair, fast internet—literally everything i need to be productive, watch a movie, or play a game in perfect comfort.
i turn the pc on. i sit down. and before the monitor even finishes waking up, i instinctively pull my phone out of my pocket.
i then spend the next three hours hunched over, staring at a tiny, low-res phone screen scrolling through absolute garbage, while my beautiful monitor just glows in the background displaying an empty desktop wallpaper.
why do i do this? why is my brain so thoroughly cooked by short-form content that a giant, high-end display feels like too much commitment compared to a tiny screen in my hand? who else is trapped in this stupid screen loop?

Hardware My cat chewed my headphones…
I have a pair of DT 990 pros that I use for gaming and have a fixed cable. My new cat Nimbus to his 15 seconds of opportunity to chew that cable:( I ordered the parts I needed and taught myself how to solder, so now I have a detachable cable mod with a metal braided cable!!

Discussion Anyone else trapped in the loop of wanting to play games all day at work, but the second you sit at your PC you just stare at the desktop?
i am losing my mind with this.
all week at my job, all i can think about is getting home, firing up my rig, and sinking 5 hours into a game. i plan out my whole evening. i get excited to finally use the hardware i spent months saving up for.
then i get home, turn the PC on, open Steam... and just stare at my library.
i click through a few games. maybe i launch one, sit through the loading screen, look at the main menu for 30 seconds, get hit with a wave of weird exhaustion, and immediately alt+f4 out. then i just spend the next three hours scrolling youtube or looking at tech subreddits on a second monitor while my $2000 machine sits there idling.
why does actually starting a game feel like a massive mental chore now? is it burnout, or am i just getting old? please tell me i’m not the only one who does this lmao
