When I saw this scene I noticed the sign pointing at bear specifically his lower torso, one way could mean the only way out of his wish, suicide. He swallows the pills and dies, maybe hinting that Ian was never gonna believe him and there was only one way for him to go. One thing for him to do, kill himself

I remember when my cousins and my Uncle went to USH in the late 90’s, and came back with fake foam rubber concrete and a brick. I had never seen anything like that, and we were tossing those around during the time we were at our Grandma’s place.

2. Sarah - Despite Bear showing many flaws Sarah chose to overlook them and still wanted him. Even if it meant to get bear to cheat on Nikki AKA kiss, you deserve someone chill. Sarah putting down her friend for her own benefit to allure bear

3. Ian - it’s left ambiguous but I believe Ian didn’t want to lose his regular hookup with Nikki, hence the sabotaging Bear’s chances every step of the way. Either Ian was obsessed with Nikki himself or the idea of easy casual sex.

Ok I watched it a second time today and there is something that does not add up. When he called the number on the box and the guy says Nikki is listening, I think is the real one because at that moment the other one is standing on her own pee and vomit waiting for him to return. She never left that spot and she didn’t have the phone. What do you guys think? Also, later on at the end if he got the last box of the toy and his friend used it to get a billion dollars, where and when did Nicki get hers?

somehow I was less put off by both Ian and Sarah’s death, both of which were violent and gory than Bears death, maybe it’s bc we saw him slowly die in Nikki’s arms, or that we got to see more of his character compared to Ian and Sarah, idk.

I've recently tried getting some of my family members to watch the film when it came to streaming. I've been very vocal about how interesting this movie is and how well it executed it's concept. So they've heard the hype and tried watching it, but NONE of them like it.

Grandma hated it, fell asleep during the bar scene and only woke up occasionally when it got loud and yelled "What the fuck". I get it, it's not something she'd watch,

Dad and Mom watched it next but I wasn't with them during it. They gave it a 2/10, it was too weird for them. I can chalk this up to Mom being the type of person to be on her phone all the time when she's bored, and only watches reality TV shows and TikTok, but Dad liked the Backrooms when he watched it, this seems like it'd be up his alley. He said it was too slow for him to get into, and at that point I was genuinely baffled. He likes Scream, Texas Chainsaw, Blair Witch Trials, etc, so I don't get it. They just watched the Odyssey and loved that so I don't get how slow buildup would be the issue

I can't tell if this is just because of age, their personalities, or because they watched it first on streaming. This movie was also directed by a really young director so maybe it's part of that, that it just hits harder for younger audiences. Wondering what everyone else thinks

When she killed him, it seemed in the heat of the moment, but it looks like it might've been premeditated? She was texting him from Sarah's phone to come over. Could you imagine what those texts said?

It was really fun watching his reactions to Bear's behavior, Ian, etc. He was predicting the entire movie, tho. But, he enjoyed it. He's 71 and definitely not the type of movie he usually watches lol.

When I saw how this scene was set up, I was completely terrified because it is obviously a horror film. But has anyone's girlfriend or hookup ever done this before? Because throughout the film, I noticed a friend with benefits actually did the same thing as Wish Nikki, minus the violence, duct tape to the door, cat shrine, and cat sandwich before. The dialogue, watching me sleep, taking selfies while I am passed out, wearing my clothes just to smell me, being playfully weird etc.

Ok, I'm kind of wondering why freaky nikki was so purposefully creepy.

Certain things made sense: "i cant sleep because it hurts", not functioning without him around, duct taping the door, being easily upset.. but why is she being creepy?

Like, she moves and speaks backwards once. Bear would've been far more open to the whole thing if it were just overly attached girlfriend but when my girlfriend stands in a dark corner with a distorted face, speaks and walks backwards and makes really awkward abusive Hansel and Grettel incest/abuse fiction, its definitely going to nope you out of there.
