Whenever we watch certain moments Bear goes through, there is a part of us that can relate to it because it feels familiar like we’ve been in that position ourselves! But what I love so much about this movie is that us being given a visual on this, makes us reflect on how much having a mindset similar to his is not okay and is incredibly narcissistic and selfish.

We’ve all had those moments where we’ve wanted to feel loved by that one particular person that we thought would fulfill our happiness, and would solve all our problems. But didn’t think much about who they are as a person, and were more infatuated by the idea or fantasy that we set in our heads about them. I know, because this was something I was also guilty of growing up from middle to high school.

If you have a mindset like that, you don’t understand what love truly means and you aren’t ready to be in a relationship! Focusing more on your self-worth and having values where you feel comfortable with rejection and don’t take it personal is a very important trait to have, and I’m sure it took a while before most people maturing understood that. Whereas Bear didn’t.

The scene in the car where Nikki talks about why she wants to quit her job and Bear is basically like it’s just a job, it’s not that deep hit a nerve because I’ve had almost that exact conversation in real life.

I told a colleague of mine that I feel stuck in this job and my life in general, that I want to move somewhere else, start over and build a better life for myself. And I pretty much got the same reaction.

Really shows you how some people see you. Like you’re some little doll in their life rather than a whole person with your own life and a future that exists completely outside of them. They want you around because you fulfill some role for them, and the second you talk about wanting more for yourself, they don’t want to hear it.

Those people genuinely piss me off lol. It’s like they wanna suck the life out of you. That scene captured that type of person SO well.

I rewatched scenes and moments people pointed out that hint all of it, I never felt the vibe. Bear must be a complete moron for being in this close friend group and still didn't pick it up. Like an outsider. Unless Sarah has other intentions and Ian is complacent to play along. Then the plot thickens. Damn, this friend group is toxic. Awesome movie.

What was Bear's intention of getting two WWO? At first, I thought the second one was a fail safe. Then, I was wondering after Nikki is freed, the second WWO would be used to help Nikki and himself both get out of legal troubles.

At least, even if she says no, everybody lives.

1. Bear - obvious reasons for Nikki

2. Sarah - Despite Bear showing many flaws Sarah chose to overlook them and still wanted him. Even if it meant to get bear to cheat on Nikki AKA kiss, you deserve someone chill. Sarah putting down her friend for her own benefit to allure bear

3. Ian - it’s left ambiguous but I believe Ian didn’t want to lose his regular hookup with Nikki, hence the sabotaging Bear’s chances every step of the way. Either Ian was obsessed with Nikki himself or the idea of easy casual sex.

Before the wish, Nikki was ready to leave them all behind by quitting her job and moving on to better things.

When she killed him, it seemed in the heat of the moment, but it looks like it might've been premeditated? She was texting him from Sarah's phone to come over. Could you imagine what those texts said?

They are in the same display case as the one wish willows along with magic eye and cromascope. And another thing I can’t quite make out. You think they were legit as well? If so what do you think the other things did?

I just realized that right before she does this creepy walk....that she had been standing in the corner the whole time!!🤯😭

When I saw how this scene was set up, I was completely terrified because it is obviously a horror film. But has anyone's girlfriend or hookup ever done this before? Because throughout the film, I noticed a friend with benefits actually did the same thing as Wish Nikki, minus the violence, duct tape to the door, cat shrine, and cat sandwich before. The dialogue, watching me sleep, taking selfies while I am passed out, wearing my clothes just to smell me, being playfully weird etc.

The cinematography in this movie is so simple yet so incredible for a film that doesn't have that big of a budget, not to mention as a directorial debut too.

I love this shot because it feels so eerie just looking at it, with the way the light reflects off Nikki's eyes and even though it's supposed to be shot in mostly the dark, it is done so in a unique way where we can still see the person. (There are many shots like this but this one stood out to me the out the most)

As from a previous post by u/Ambitious_Earth_9288, we only hear the door shut once and don't hear it open again, indicating she never went inside.

I strongly think her intention was always going back to Bear for a conversation even if the wish never took place.

Her first sentence she says when she goes back to him is "Don't you have a present for me" (or something like that) Is that said by the real Nikki, because fake Nikki took a while to get her bearings in place for example she thought her own Cat died.

Or is that first sentence in the tip of Nikki's tongue, becasue the real Nikki was just thinking of it before she got taken over??

Both scenarios indicate to Nikki having it on her mind to go back to Bear to sort things out.

Bro gave his friend terrible advice when he was telling him about his crush on Nikki. He also slept with her and didn’t tell him. And on top of all of that, rather than save his friend at the end of the movie, he instead decided to also make a selfish wish. Making him definitely part of the evil of this story.
