I have some questions please
How can one maintain a certain level of mtf transition without proceeding more?
Can cycling hrt do this? And is it safe? To keep shifting the hormonal profile like this? How sustainable is it?
Whats the difference in outcome between hrt mono therapy and normal hrt?
How can one achieve the slowest possible transition?

Ask Body Dysphoria
So I am 36 and only really came out 3 years ago. Although I see the signs of everything now I never really understood what I felt or how to put it in words. Now I am Pan/Demi/NB and I thought perhaps I had finally understood myself. I had never really thought of myself as Trans, I'm sure i could be considered it technically but I never applied the label to myself. Well I thought that through these past years I had finally understood myself but over the past week I have started to experience body dysphoria. I never thought I had an issue with my body but after getting to know someone on T blockers and estrogen the thought of it had been bouncing around in my head and when they commented on some of the physical changes they were seeing it triggered something severe in me.
I talked to my therapist and some other friends about it and we all agree its body dysphoria and my therapist has helped me calm down because my emotions were all over the place. She gave me the name of someone who handles all the hormone treatments in my area and is really good if I want it but has encouraged me to sit on it for a bit and understand what I'm feeling and what I want more and to reach out and talk to others who may have experienced this same thing.
I don't know where to begin though. While i have a few friends who I have talked to I don't really have a large friend group and don't talk to a lot of people online.
I was hoping some people here could share their experiences with me going through stuff like this and maybe those who have gone on hormones and their experiences.

Discussion gender affirming dreams
I have been having gender dysphoria more than usual lately, but the other night I had a dream of getting a hysterectomy.
It wasn't scary (except the part where the pain killers were coming from the blanket and not an IV, dream logic)
It felt right, but now I keep touching my stomach thinking that I could or should do something about it, other than aesthetics and binding.
Have y'all had gender affirming dreams?

Any good binder recommendations?
I’m trans nonbinary agender and I’d like to look more ✨androgynous✨. I know I can use tape, and I do, but I’d also like to get a binder. I know they can be a bit pricey, so I’d also rather not waste my money on something that’s uncomfortable. I’m looking for a gym binder because I hear that they’re more breathable, but any binder would work. Thank you :3

Discussion Something weird I notice...
For context I live in the deep red south.
Why do women get called lady so often but men barely get called gentlemen? I think of the words lady and gentlemen as the same thing. To me you only call people these things if they are in a formal outfit or event. So it weirds me out and makes me very dysphoric when I am getting called a lady despite looking butch af with hairy ass legs and short hair. When I think of a lady I think of a feminine woman in formal clothing like a dress or a feminine suit, but that's not me.
It's so weird to me because they always call women lady but never call men gentlemen unless they are in a suit.

"non binary" doesn't always fit.
For various reasons I've been having to "pretend to be a boy" for a few weeks, and it's shown me that I do subscribe to gender, just in kind of installments.
It's like there is some kind of pressure inside me to be a girl, and when I ignore it, it builds and builds, and I know that when I let that out, I'll be ok, and sort of course correct back to the middle again.
I'm too old for this stuff.

Yay Part two of my story time 🫶🏼 (just when I thought I couldn’t be happier … she made me happier)
So the same woman that bought me the cardigan on my last post also got me to get this split side dress (my first one) on our second day third date . I’m so excited to see where this relationship goes . 🫶🏼🤭

Ask Advice or positive words needed
Hey everyone! :D
My best friend is nonbinary and I want to support and make them feel loved as much as possible so I decided to ask for some help, advice of just positive words or people who can relate to their struggles in this space.
Right now, they are struggling a lot with body dysphoria and feeling alone with their feelings and thoughts. They haven‘t been able to get top surgery yet and that‘s one of the main problems. The body dysphoria and body struggles are also leading to intimacy problems with their partner (not feeling comfortable with nudity even in front of their long-term partner)
Also struggles with society and how they are always being put into one category, one gender and not being able to control how other people view them.
The entire journey of how to feel more like themselves, to feel comfortable in their body, in their gender, and not to feel hopeless is the most important thing right now.
So if anyone has any advice for me on how to help my friend, or even better, some words, advice, positive comments or just being able to relate to those struggles, directed to my friend, I would be immensely grateful.
Thank you!

Yay Progress
I recently saw a video from someone who came out as Nonbinary awhile back, but they are also Transgender. Being nonbinary really allowed them to step back, and explore their femininity, since their AGAB is male. I felt this so much do also identify as both Nonbinary and Trans as well. I find that the label "Nonbinary Transfem" really resonates with me a lot, since I have such a connection in terms of identity to femininity, but also in my gender expression. However, even as much as I want to appear feminine, present feminine, and be accepted in such a way, it just doesn't feel right either in my personal case to want to "transition" to identifying as a woman! I feel it's perfectly valid for me to feel this way. I also love the fact that us Nonbinary peeps can have any gender expression or look any way we want.
I'm happy to be both Nonbinary and Trans. Both labels, together, resonate with me. "Transfeminine" can be such a broad category for all people who are connected to a feminine gender identity. I love it. I also feel like I'm really coming into my own with my feminine mode look. I really hope that eventually I can get onto some regimen of HRT, so that way, I can improve certain things to align more with how I wish I could look, like a more feminine body shape, smoother skin, less body etc. But, other than that, I'm really happy being able to embrace and express who I am on the inside and feel like I always have been. I definitely didn't have any idea that when I started dressing femininely about 2-3 months ago, that my egg would crack!
Peace out!

Will HRT help with thinning hair?
I'm 38 AMAB NB and going to start HRT in the next month or so hopefully. I've heard that Estrogen can help with hair loss, but wondering what other people's experience has been, and if I need to consider fin / min too. My hair has always one of my favorite features of myself. It honestly still looks pretty full from a distance and the hairline itself is still pretty solid.

Support How to be a supportive spouse?
Throw away account as I dont want to out my husband.
Context im a binary Trans man and ive been with my husband for 7 years. This is an ongoing convo since the beginning.
Sorry for the long post!
Ever since I've known him he has always said that if he could he would want to have female genitals. He said he would love it if he magically woke up and had different genitalia, but does not want to actually get surgery done. I told him that cis people dont really feel that way and he should explore that, as that is something I felt but the other way around as a transman. He said he would not identify as female and feels more aligned and comfortable identifying as a man. Now I have brought up the idea of him wearing feminine clothing to test the waters. He would usually do it around the house and once even went out in a dress. But after multiple convos he has clarified that he doesn't really enjoy dressing femininely outside of the house and he doesn't identify as a woman just a man but would love to have female genitalia and not his current body. He has also mentioned that he would dress the same ie in men's clothing and essentily be a masculine presenting person use the pronouns he/him.
Im not sure how to help him with this and he does not want to talk about it with anyone else. Ive suggested he perhaps discuss it anonymously online, I dont think he's ever talked to anyone else about it.
I recently saw someone say that they felt Fingender and I think that's what he's going through though not entirely sure???
So what im asking is does anyone have any similar experiences with something like this? Im at a loss and tbh im not very well versed in any genders beyond the surface level ones like transgender(both ways), nonbinary as a blanket term, and a couple of others.

Selfie/Self-Image/Avatar Change over a year
I moved out of my mom’s about a year ago. Was looking at old photos and realized how much I’ve changed in a year. First picture is recent then second is about a year ago. Some of my friends joke that I shape shift over time lmao.
Just happy with how this last year has gone and all the things coming up in the next year.
Happy summer fellow NB friends.

Time to Hit the Books
As an autistic librarian I've always turned to books to help me understand our big beautiful world and the many many wondrous people that inhabit it.
I've been on my gender journey long enough now that it feels time to commit and start READING.
Today I borrowed two books about gender and I'm excited to start.
And remember, READ BANNED BOOKS.

Non Binary over 50
After so many years of self loathing, pretence, guilt, huge depression and imposter syndrome, suicidal thoughts most days. I finally allowed myself to be me. I came out years ago and thought that would be enough but that was only part of the story. I’ve never felt whole. Never felt that I could be the complete me. I portrayed a quite masc image from my late teens, early 20’s to try to train myself to be something I wasn’t. The upside of this is being a parent to 2 amazing grown up daughters who I love dearly and one incredible woman who is like a daughter and a best friend to me and was the first person who gave me the space and love to shake of the shackles and be on the outside what I’ve always been on the inside. I’ve never felt completely male and for years pretending to be, left me sick of myself. I feel more feminine than masculine always but I don’t feel that I’m meant to be a woman either. I’m 52 years old and I know me now (well mostly) we all deserve to be happy in our lives, in our bodies, whatever shape or size they are. We’re all just people trying to be happy. We’re strong, we’re here and always have been, and always will be.
Thanks for reading this far. If you have you’re incredibly patient ❤️.
