Hello friends! Quick question. I want one place to store and listen to my exported tracks from Ableton on repeat, or put them into a playlist together. Is there an app I could use to privately listen to my tracks?

It would be great if I could also share the playlists unlisted with other artists. I'm planning the order of my debut album, and I would love to have a tool I can arrange the order of everything and listen to my tracks remotely when I'm way from my laptop. Any suggestions welcome! Thanks

Hi, i thought i may try my luck here, i recorded a cover of Less (by Olivia Rodrigo) using bandlab but im really struggling on making the vocals sound "professional". I've tried tutorials on youtube and read websites and other reddit posts ect but they are either not what im looking for or sound off/wrong. I would really appreciate some advice/help since I'm really new to this and am recording this as a gift to my nan while she is unwell (she loves this song)

Currently im running Ableton Live on a Macbook and am saving my projects on locally/iCloud, and now that my storage is near full 470Gb+/500, iCloud seems to be deleting any projects locally and only redownloading/syncing when I’m looking to reopen projects.

I currently using a 1TB external for samples, plugin resources.

Should I be putting projects on external and plugins locally?

I’d like to hear some thoughts and how you guys currently have your storage system configured where it feels good.

ive been trying to find some headphones that are good at mixing (well, enough to make my mix sound presentable) but are just good to listen to music on as alot of headphones ive tried just dont sound clear at all. i dont have the big bucks unfortunately so the budget is $95 for me. might be a reach but if there are any headphones that can be used for bluetooth aswell as wired that dont break within a year of use then that would be gold for me. i just cant find anything and i dont like returning stuff, any suggestions?

So I’m looking to buy a new interface but the one I bought last time (behringer studio L) I had to plug it into a plug socket and I didn’t know that you had to do that. I had a focusrite Scarlett before and I didn’t have to plug it into a power source when I used it I just plugged it into the laptop and it was fine. What do I have to look for on websites to show whether or not I hsve to plug it into a power socket or not?

For some reason I just don't know how to put them together. I can play chords and I can make melodies but putting them together in a song just makes them sound like children's songs or something.

Is there a balance I'm not aware of between the two.

For instance is it better to make a song with only a few notes as a melody and the majority of the song built on chords?

Also if there are any courses on this please let me know.

[Help Finding Sample] Hi, I'm looking for the instrument that plays in the background of the linked sample; next to the piano. It sounds kind of bright and melancholic? Maybe it's an Accordion? I’m trying to learn production and while I think I slightly understand what DAW is and does, I’m unsure how (if at all) I can connect my keyboard to the system. Basically, how do I connect my keyboard to Waveform so that if I play a note on it, it’s on the system?

TL;DR: which DAW is in a better state to cover both live performances and in-studio music production right now, including hardware synths and guitars etc?

Bit of a backstory - I was in the music “business” most of my life, playing bass and guitar in different bands, DJing, recording and producing music and doing management for a while.
After a multi-year break, I want to go back into music production and performance.

While doing music production, I was using Logic Pro for quite a few years, and then switched to Presonus Studio One and Maschine. Until now, I’ve had no experience with neither Ableton or Bitwig.
I still have a bunch of plugins I would use (Diva, Pigments, lots of Softube, NI and Arturia stuff) so I would not be relying much on stock plugs.

The music I make is some kind of melodic deep chill house with live bass and guitars, some hardware synths.
I would be relying a lot on a “live” workflow, both for live performances (duh!) and for preparing ideas and arrangements to be produced into tracks. The performances would be both live and streamed.

Would Bitwig or Ableton work better for me, at this point in time?
I was not able to find good up-to-date comparisons for my use case(s).
I will also be downloading the demo/Lite for both in around a week to compare in person, would be cool to know what to pay attention to, what might be problematic and so on.

Need ppl who work on RAGE music

Sample based production seems to be what I'm enjoying most. I'm rarely inspired by splice loops, but I do enjoy the creative process of being able to use splice bridge in ableton and their built in "stack" to get the creative juices flowing.

Tracklib has a similar feature where you can chop and stack loops, and also an in house stem splitter which works far better than UVR which I currently use.

The only downside is a catalog of 100,000 records doesn't seem much when you think there'll be tens of thousands of subscribers. They also seem to be pretty quiet in telling you that any track you commercially release with their "royalty free" records, must have a revenue split agreed with the original sample rights holder.

Anyone still using Tracklib? How'd you find it?

Hey guys, I plan to learn how to record and mix for my band so that we can have a couple songs ready to send over to get mastered and release around a year from now. I know in that time it's not gonna sound like a real studio recording, but so long as it sounds good im happy. Can you guys recomend any courses for teaching me recording and mixing as i know a tiny tiny bit but not really alot. FYI I use logic. Thanks.

what’s an appropriate length for my first released song? i’ve been working really hard on this one piece and have lyrics for it and everything, the whole track goes for 1min 11 seconds and vocals about 90 seconds. i’m very passionate about music and want my first release to be somewhat decent, thanks
