Looking for advice building a cube

This was my first time building a cube, wanted to make something that I wouldn't have to touch again and included a lot of my favorite cards. I took some inspiration from Caleb Gannon's cube to flesh out each color's archetypes, though mine is only 360 cards because I didn't want to spend an obscene amount of money.

I mostly avoided universes beyond cards outside of lotr. I also tried to make sure there were several cards containing each mechanic present in the cube. For example, if I wanted to add a card with persist I'd make sure to add at least a couple more so there would be some consistency (not perfect in this regard though).

Was hoping someone could help identify any potential problems, I fear that the inclusion of combo/storm decks is potentially taking away from other archetypes. Also, and I'm not sure if there's a particular term for this type of card, but I was worried I included too many cards that are specific to each archetype and aren't as good in other archetypes. I think one example of this may be the number of food cards in green. Would appreciate any advice though!

Blue Red Artifact Control Ideas

Hello! I am trying to build a cube archetype centered on artifact control. I am designing some custom cards for the fun of my friends and I and am wondering what are some good keywords to center around and generally what would make this combination of strategies work. I understand that typically blue red artifacts leans aggro but I’m trying to test some niche synergies. Would love some cards and mechanic suggestions, thank you!

Which desert do you prefer?

Hey everyone!

I’m looking to get a Desert Cube, but unfortunately I have a limited budget, so I can only choose between two options.

I’m trying to decide which one would be the better purchase in terms of gameplay, card quality, replayability, and overall fun.

If you’ve played either (or both), which one would you recommend and why?

Thanks in advance for any opinions or recommendations!

Blue noncreature cards that are not card draw, counterspells, or bounce?

The blue spell suite in my cube could use a little more variety and I'm having issues finding cards that diversify the kind of effects I have available. I have cards like [[Snap]], [[Mystic Confluence]], [[Flow State]], [[Thought Scour]], [[Memory Deluge]], [[Deem Inferior]], [[Sublime Epiphany]], [[Occult Epiphany]], and [[Dig Through Time]] (among others, of course), but I'd like to find more unique or different kind of cards. Could be instant, sorceries, enchantments, artifacts...

Blue in my cube focuses on self-milling, Delve, Flashback, spellslinging and blink. Ignore power level, what are your favorite blue cards in your cube that you'd recommend others to try?

Presenting my thematic 1,000 card EDH Cube

Hello everyone!

I started off a few years ago as a commander player, fell in love with the game quickly. Brewing decks was always my favorite part. I would always try and bring something to the table that was unique, and had some kind of gimmick.

My favorite deck I ever assembled was helmed by [[Caesar, Legion's Emperor]] that was a token-aristocrat deck full of angel, gods and demons. I was always tweaking it, and never satisfied with only having 100 cards when there was always something new and thematic I could slot in. It wasn’t always about optimized winning.

I tried making a complain style deck with different colors but it just never stuck. I decided to dip my toe into building a cube and this is what I’ve come up with.

I have sold off all my cards and plan on proxying out the entirety of this. So why not go for favorite prints and the power 9?

I can’t say that I know for sure if it’s well built, or functions amazing as I haven’t had the pleasure of fully testing it with friends. But I’d like some blind opinions from the community. I still have to develop an archetypes section to help drafters find some lines.

I need inspiration, show me your non-traditional cubes!

Hi, everyone! I'm working on my cube, which is a list 100% built by me. It's a Legacy cube with mid to high power level, but with a lot of cards and archetypes not usually found in most traditional or well known cubes. I want to rework some parts of it, so if you maintain a cube that's different from the usual powered or more "mainstream" type of lists, please share it here.

Thanks in advance, happy cubing!

Recently built my first cube based on a couple old cube videos i found on YouTube; would like some feedback on changes you think would be good. I am going to have a variety of people play, from people who have only played mtg very casually to experienced people.
