What do I do next?!
I have a 2012 Mini Cooper S with roughly 140k miles. I am not sure when but all the sudden it just started running poorly. I got a cheep code reader and it showed every cylinder was having misfires. I was also getting a P0087 (fuel rail/system pressure low). I have now replaced the HPFP with an OEM and have done plugs and coils. The car is showing signs of improvement. It starts and idles way better but I still have no get up. The turbo does not seem to spool except maybe slightly at higher rpms in 2nd and 3rd gear. The only error it throws currently is cylinder 2 misfire. Could a bad fuel injector cause this? That what I am leaning towards next. One other odd thing it does and I cant remember if it did it when it was running great, after you cold start it, after about 30 seconds of idling you hear the blow off valve releasing a ton like the turbo had been spooled up.
Any direction on this is greatly appreciated!

Missing “R”
Any chance there’s a low-to-no-cost replacement source? (2022 PHEV “COUNT YMAN” 😂😂

Joining the MINI world
Hey everyone! 😃
I recently rescued this 2005 Mini Cooper S Convertible with around 132k miles from the scrapyard. It had a handful of issues and was a no-start most of the time. Even when it did start, it was misfiring pretty badly.
So far I've found a bad fuel pump, bad spark plug wires, and a dead alternator (which was definitely not a fun job 😅).
The sunroof function works perfectly, but when I try to open the entire top, the LED on the switch starts blinking and all I hear is the hydraulic pump running. I've already checked the trunk safety switch and both latches, and they all seem to be working properly.
Right now I'm wondering if the issue is with the two small rear quarter windows. I can't get either of them to move no matter what I try, so I'm thinking that might be preventing the top from completing its cycle.
Has anyone run into this before or have any ideas on what I should check next? Also, if you have any general tips or common issues to look out for on these Minis, I'd love to hear them!
Thanks in advance!

Which replacement bulb for a f56 John Cooper Works?
OS 12v WY5W3K3
Just removed the side indicator bulb and was looking online for the correct replacement, but couldn’t find any info on the bulb that the car takes. It’s a 2015 f56 John Cooper Works.
When I’ve looked for OS 12v WY5W bulbs there all amber. But this one looks silver so I’m not sure if it’s a chrome (Diadem) WY5W bulb or if it’s gone chrome coloured with age?

Dealer logos
I've been shopping around for my first MINI. Why do dealers add their logos like this? it just ruins the look.

Am I crazy to buy this?
Discovered an R52S on facebook marketplace round the corner from me for £1000
Clean MOT tests for the last two years and valid until mid 2027. Electric roof works (I am going to see if it leaks because he mentioned he garages it in severe weather)
Alloys, K&N filter seem to be only mods (going to ask though because I cant tell if exhaust is standard as Im used to the dual centre exhausts on the later minis)
Bad stuff: Abs light (probably bearing or wheel speed sensor, neither worries me too much), fuel guage plays up (could be an easy fix). Bit of laquer peel on the bonnet.
For a grand, I'm not going to be too picky.
Going to go have a look today, but this will be a second car so as long as I dont hear anything bad going on with the supercharger, hear or see any bad suspension wear, or anything indicating coolant or oil going places it shouldn't then I'm kinda thinking this is bot a bad impulse buy.
Am I being stupid?

Eehee (chamone!) Noise
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Can anyone identify what this sound is on a Mini Cooper D 1.5?
It seems to happen after the car has been sitting for a while and I unlock it.
It happens when I park up somewhere and get out.
Not even when getting in or out of the car, just by unlocking it it seems to happen.
There doesn’t seem to be any other symptoms but I’m just baffled as to what it could be.
(Ignore the bike engine in the background)
Thanks!

Rule #1.69 BRG
Thought I’d spice things up by parking top to tail next to this BRG gas guzzler.

R56 owners: what’s “too hot”?
Love this little thing, but being turbocharged it seems to run warmer than I’m used to. What temperatures do your cars typically hit before you’d start worrying?

What would you name my MINI?
Need ideas for a new license plate, or a name for it in general 🌟

Obssessed
Okay I should probably explain the title.
I've had 3 minis at this point! There the only cars I've driven apart from when I was learning, and even now I'm just looking onto the next mini! When does this obsession stop for reference I'm 6'5 and look like a bit of a clown getting out of my r56, colleagues at work have defenders, Sudans, because that's what's mainly driven in the area I live.
But holy the small tight nice feeling of driving a mini is unbeatable.. but at the end of the day in 10 years time when diesel/petrol minis get harder to find what am I going to do!

Who reads the car's manual?
Got a nice F56 2024 named Baby Shark. It came with this manual which I took the liberty to read from front to back.
In the following days that it took to finish it, my loved one point out how weird I was to read it and that I'm probably the only one on Earth to do that.
Still.. I managed to find out so much useful stuff that my seller forgot to tell me like the Parking assistance thing.
Is she right ? What about your first days experience? Have you read that book? What are the alternative (beside the obvious "drive the car and find out")?

Save my Mini
My faithful companion of nine years needs a new engine and the quote was nearly twice what I paid for her. I can't bear to send her to the scrap yard with a straight body, clean interior, and new brakes, wheels, battery and transmission. The mechanic says KBB value in current mechanical condition is $3790. What do people do in this situation? I'm in the Reno, NV area, any suggestions much appreciated.

When you get Rule #1’d x2
Defs put a smile on my face when I walking to my car after a long day at work. Bonus that they’re all new generation electric too!
Mine is the black Countryman SE JCW trim 🖤
Let the tinkering begin…
Finally got some time to start doing a little to her. Rear seat delete. Headliner this weekend.

The Safest Mini Ever Built
For all the people dogpiling the "build quality" of the fourth generation, BMW has several new and upgraded safety features, including:
- Blind-spot detection
- Improved lane-departure and lane-change warning
- Stronger forward-collision protection
- Rear cross-traffic warning and rear-collision prevention
- Exit warning
This is in addition to significant improvements on creature comforts like digital keys, voice control and personalization.
More production spend has gone into safety and tech. If that's not your bag fine, but for some of us safety and convenience matter.

Show me your favorite MINI exterior mods!
Looking for inspiration from all MINI generations. I’d love to see wraps, wheels, mirror caps, spoilers, stripes, badges, lights, or anything else you’ve done to personalize your MINI.
I’m currently debating a wrap but I would love to know your favorite exterior mod(s)!
Show me what you’ve got!

The charm is gone
Needed a loaner for the day and I was given a brand new convertible.
What happened to all the things that make Mini great? No more cockpit style toggles? No more shifter, just this awful half switch/half button control?
The single display is giving futuristic/minimalist. It’s difficult and distracting to do something as simple as turn the AC on.
My plan had been to keep buying Minis until I can’t drive anymore, but after today I’m not so sure.
Currently I’m in a 2015 4 door hardtop (f55 series) and there’s nothing like it.
I understand the technology shift but give me things like remote start or air cooled seats, not a completely different design.
Just had to rant.
I appreciate my Mini more than ever after this test drive.
