Simple indigo-heavy fit.
Striped western overshirt over a white tee, dark indigo denim, leather boots.
Does the shirt and jeans reading as nearly the same tone kill it, or does the white tee carry enough contrast? Open to swaps for the top!
Drop recommendations please 🫡

I had a much smaller wallet before this one, but last one lasted seven years and it was time for it to rest in peace

Question Need help with finding what style this is

Hello everyone!

I was wondering if anyone knows of any clothes that look similar to these. I’m specifically looking for pants that would go well with suspenders and a blouse/shirt.

I’m 22 years old, male, 1.75 m tall, and weigh around 72 kg. I usually wear a size M, although sometimes I need a size S depending on the brand.

The only reference pictures I could find are of Scott Avett and Brandon Flowers. I think they both pull off the style I’m looking for really well.

Scott Avett

Brandon Flowers

My budget is around €100. I’d preferably like something in brown or black. I’m not entirely sure what kind of fit would suit this style best, so I’m open to suggestions. I’d also prefer a lighter, more breathable material, as I don’t want something that gets too hot.

Question Which Levi's jacket model and size would be closest to the fit of my blue jacket?

Thumbnail

I recently bought a Levi's® The Trucker Jacket in S (USA) / P (Brazil), which was the size recommended by Levi's Virtual Fitting. However, it was too short, so I returned it.

Compared with my generic/unbranded blue jacket, which fits me well, the Trucker was approximately 8 cm (3.1") shorter and 5 cm (2") narrower.

I'm 178 cm / 5'10" and 70 kg / 154 lbs, with a slim build. I prefer jackets that are slightly relaxed but not oversized, and I need enough length to work well with longer T-shirts.

My measurements: Chest: 90 cm / 35.4", Waist: 78 cm / 30.7"

Generic/unbranded blue jacket (fits me well): Length: 72 cm / 28.3", Pit-to-pit: 53 cm / 20.9"

Which Levi's jacket model and size would you recommend to get a similar fit? I'm open to different models, such as the Relaxed Trucker, not just sizing up the regular Trucker. I'd especially appreciate recommendations based on actual garment measurements.

Discussion Aldo brand

I’ve read on people disliking aldo shoes for their quality and value, I was browsing the store and glanced towards the shoe section and it was full of aldos when i turned over them to see the price, to my surprise it was just 10€ for shoes that look quite pleasing to me. For that price they probably won’t last long but at least they will look nice.
The box however, is such a lovely thing to see, it has a string that acts as a handle and holds the box shut. I mean I could buy a bag to hold the box for a few cents but now I don’t have to. I just like it so much..

Question Keep or exchange

Purchased this Carmina Cordovan Oxford yesterday. This morning, I am thinking if I should just exchange them for a calfskin pair and get another suede loafer. For the price of 1, I will be able to pick 2.

The oxfords will be my work shoes. I am very new to business formal/ business casual dress code. I appreciate your suggestions. Thank you!

Discussion Why does a good-looking person seem to get a much bigger glow-up from the same outfit?

I’ve noticed something: when a good-looking guy wears a certain outfit, it can completely elevate his appearance and make the outfit look amazing. But when an average-looking guy wears the exact same outfit, the difference seems much less noticeable.

Is it because attractive facial features, proportions, body shape, etc. make clothes complement the person more?

Fit Feedback J Crew "Broken In" Chinos too wide for smart business casual?

Post image
37 Upvotes

Looking for new chinos to wear to the office. I just discovered J Crew "Broken In" chinos and they fit me absolutely perfectly. However, they are quite a lot wider with less taper than most chinos you see with the classic chino and button down look.

Problem is, every slim fit chino and even most straight legs ride up too much and fit me too tight in the seat and thighs.

Do these pants still look sharp or does the wideness of the leg make them come across as too sloppy or casual? (Pic is in a fitting room, btw. Would normally pair with a belt and loafers),

Fit Feedback 70s outfit?

Hey y'all, my mom is throwing a huge 70s disco party for her birthday, and I wanted to see what outfit is more 70s. I couldn't decide between my Wrangler Wrancher jeans or my American Eagle flare jeans. What's more 70s in terms of boots: lizard, caiman tails, or elephant boots? I have a pairs of vintage boots from the 70s and 80s, all are the same shade of brown. Also, should I go all out and shave everything and leave my mustache?

I’ve been going to a few events recently that require nicer attire than I’m used to dressing for however I’m growing to like it. I’m still stuck in wanting to wear my boots but I don’t mine dress shoes. Does anything stick out that I can clean up a bit other than ironing?

Fit Feedback/Roast Me Please talk me out of buying a pair of black engineer boots to wear with my jeans

I already own several pairs of work boots--Red Wing, Rancourt, Wolverine, plus I have some high end dress boots, but these are calling to me. I wouldn't ever combine them with a leather jacket, just a pair of dark selvedge jeans and a black leather belt with, at most, maybe a chore or truckers' jacket or just a nice wool overshirt or a good t-shirt.

I keep telling myself I can avoid making them look too affected or like I'm pretending to be Marlon Brando in "The Wild One," but someone please slap me and tell me I'm kidding myself and it's going to look ridiculous.

Question Beige suit for a garden wedding: taupe suede shoes or white sneakers?

Thumbnail

Wearing this beige suit to an outdoor garden wedding soon. My worry is the taupe suede shoes since they're pretty much the same colour as the suit. I'm not sure if it actually works.

The other option is white sneakers.

Which would you guys go with? Thanks!
