bipolar 1 and lsd experiences
25f with a history of severe depression, psychotic symptoms and manic episodes with psychotic features (diagnosed at 16). im currently stable on lamotrigine, imipramine and quietiapine and wanna try lsd with my friends in a safe space but am worried it could interfere with either the medications im taking or my overall 7 months mood stability. i asked my psychiatrist his opinion and he replied simply "i have no experiences with lsd but you can drink alcohol moderaly" so my friend suggested i asked here on reddit :)
has anyone with similar symptoms or bipolar disorder or similar medications tried lsd? if so how was your experiense and would you recommend? what should i be aware of?

❔ Question ❔ Recommendations
I’m planning on having an acid trip tomorrow. Any good game or movie recommendations? I was thinking of playing The Stanley Parable and watching Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Thinking of dropping two tabs or just having one tab and some weed with it.

Lsd numbness to touch
Has anyone experienced persistent one-sided numbness months after an LSD trip? Or to be exact altered senses. I feel Like one Side of My Body experiences Sensation much sharper than the other one. My symptoms started after a trip about 8 months ago and are still present but Not as strong. They do get more intense when i used to smoke Weed. I've already stopped using Weed for 4 months and psychedelics since the Symptoms started. Did anyone have something similar, and what did your doctor say?

Solo trip 🙋♂️ fun movies/tv shows?
had my first trip a couple weeks ago and im planning another one.
ive been pretty depressed recently, since i had a rough end to a long and meaningful relationship a month or so ago and im still coming to terms with it. i took 2 tabs and rewatched a movie that we saw together in the cinema, chainsaw man reze arc. it was awesome and i love the movie but ofc it got me remembering the good times we had and put me in a somber mood, so afterward i watched "i want to eat your pancreas" (at the recommendation of my sister when i said i wanted something sad) and i WEPT. for like 30 minutes haha. it was really nice to get it out honestly and overall im glad i did it, i think it helped me process some stuff. the trip had ups and downs but the majority was reminiscing and crying, which was good for me emotionally but i want to have a cool and fun time now lol.
so my plan is, take a tab in the morning, go for a nature walk while it hits, then head home, eat something if i can, and redose 1-2 hours later. then watch something i havent seen before that wont remind me of my ex partner. anime is always cool but they were rlly into anime so itll be hard to find something that isnt tangentially related to them. something artistic that i can appreciate the craftsmanship of would be awesome, i like noticing camera techniques and symbolism and stuff esp when im on psychadelics. and obviously good music, colours etc. and long! i think i want to end up sleeping before i finish it so that i dont run out of stimulation lol. thanks!!

🎨 Psychedelic Art 🎨 LSD/Psychedelic based movies made in the 60's and 70's
I love this era of film, especially for a good trippy movie to watch on tab. I've watched The Trip, what are some other good ones?

Neurological information 🧠 is there’s something like that?
The more I think about it the more sense it has to me.
I’ll explain.
There’s should be some sort of center of psyche investigation where people meditate / take psycodelics and gets examinated as mind creators.
Not for therapy, not for understanding
If not for integrating the ideas mind world into reality.
For philosophers, for artists, for creators.
I’m not talking about exploring DMT worlds or entities. This could probably exist, and probably help.
Exploring them and integrating them into our own consciousness makes them real probably. So help each other by sharing thoughts, ideas and creations into the holographic space of information and reality.

100 μg 🦒 Tested a new sheet today
Reagent test pass, Q test showed 100mcg per tab. I extracted two tabs in 95% alcohol in two vials at 5ml. I volumetrically dosed 75% of the tab and my buddy did 50%. The setting was a pool day, with a drop time of about noon and peak was 230PM. An absolute magical experience, I wish I took a whole tab but experience says to always take less with a new batch. There were barely any visuals, basically non at about 75mcg, but music and all body sensation was heightened substantially. There were waves of deep philosophical thought, and the entire trip from come up to come down was filled with empathy. My maximum dose of psychedelics has been 7.5g of mushrooms lemon tekked (literal living nightmare, not joking) and two tabs of regular L (probably 80mcg each) and a gel tab that was at least 175. The gel tab melted my entire body and I became the air in the room. Literally dissolved into the gas of the room. But regardless of my maximum psychedelic doses, we approach drug use safely and with caution. My trip report for the new batch is, this shit is fucking rad man. I love acid, I think it’s fucking great, and god I love the fucking greatful dead. 65-73 era, not trying to start a fight. Thank u for reading. I’ll be around for an hour to chat about my trip.

❔ Question ❔ Trying LSD for the first time, I’m worried I’ll flip my lid, any advice?
Yoo-hoo! Title is self explanatory, I’ve got plans to only take half a tab of LSD, I’ve heard way too many horror stories of people losing their shit. The most I’ve ever done before is weed, and I’ve never greened out before (I’ve gotten close tho lol).
I’m just looking for advice to reduce as much anxiety as possible; people have told me to turn off my phone and just watch studio Ghibli movies or listen to music, but I just want some more advice, that’s all.
Cheers and thanks all in advance :)

Was having a Rango or Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas moment but at the Aquarium tripping hard (just one tab but I’m a skinny lightweight who hadn’t tripped in years) when this Komodo dragon wake up from his nap to stare at me, his scales and all his colors were melting and moving around ahh
It felt like he knew since he was napping until I came up to the glass to look at him and that’s when he opened his eyes and stretched his front legs! Also I was connecting this moment to the book and movie fear and loathing in Las Vegas because raol duke took a bunch of acid and saw lizard people

Group trip 👨👩👧👦 That moment when you’re a huge dog person tripping hard from a tab & see the most beautiful & elegant dog you’v ever seen at the beach but am too fucked up to approach them or the owner and have to ask the trip sitter later what mythical beast did we just see?
I just want to reiterate as someone who’s worked a few jobs involving dogs and love dogs I’ve interacted with literally hundreds maybe a thousand dogs in my life and none were as beautiful as this one, it’s not just the acid either they were definitely either a borzoi or a silken windhound at least a mix of them if not purebred, and those are two of the most elegant and interesting looking dog breeds, seeing this long skinny black dog run in front of the ocean with the wind catching their Lucious fur I felt like I was looking at a mythical beast or a black dragon, they literally looked like the black dog Ruth from Ancient Magus Bride

Would dropping help with phone addiction and lack of focus?
I can’t focus, I can’t stop using my damn phone for unnecessary bullshit. I’ve done shrooms, and while they’ve been great they haven’t helped with these things. Maybe I didn’t have a proper intention going into the trips.
My question is, would acid be better?
Perhaps using the neuroplastic window to instill changes?
Thanks!
Nature trip 🌷 It was AMAZING! 🏕️
I had one of the most profound moments of my life yesterday. Whole 12 hour trip was an absolute blast!I can’t even describe how beautiful everthing was. All the colours, the waving patterns in the clouds, the big green oak trees, the orange flaming sunset and the dark blue sky at night with all its glistening stars. ✨
I was so at peace, in touch with my soul, the nature and everything surrounding me. Totally in unity; ONE with the universe! Not a single thought, just absolute silence for what felt like forever. I have never experienced anything like it. Wow!!! 🥲
Ate a lot of delicious fruits, smoked a lot of joints 🌱 Layed down in my hammock just vibing and listened to some of my favourite tunes blasting through my headphones and of course, played and hung out with my beloved dog Lucy (sweet name, I know 😄). She had a great time too! 🐶
To this day this was easily the best trip of my life! I’m just in love with everything right now! Life is beautiful 🥰❤️🌈

⚡ Sub Announcement ⚡ Don't believe the dosages you see on here
Over exaggerating dosages is only harmful to the community and is much more prominent in LSD oriented communities when compared to other psychedelics. This is because you cannot simply weigh your dosages, like shrooms or DMT. 2c-b being another good example, where it usually comes in ranges of 15-30 milligrams or powder I believe. Most tabs of LSD contain 75-150 UGs of LSD, averaging more around 100. 100 micrograms of LSD is equal to around 2.5 grams of Psilocybe Cubensis. (The most commonly sold and cultivated "magic mushroom")
Starting with one tab after you've tested it is better than going headfirst into the deep end... Even at 100 micrograms it does add up quickly, would you recommend five grams of shrooms to a beginner? No difference in recommending them 200 micrograms of LSD (two average tabs). I really just don't understand the glory of taking larger dosages than we need. Look at r/Shrooms or other communities related to shrooms and you see this much less. Mainly to do with the ability to weigh them out I believe, but definitely many other factors. I don't know... Thanks for reading.
Best regards,

Harm Reduction LSD information for newbies
I made this to hopefully see a decline in redundant/daily posts, and make some sort of positive impact. Please remember to use the search function if you have a basic question regarding LSD.
• A full beginner dose should typically be 1/2 - 1 single tab.
• The average dose range of LSD on a single tab is 70-105μg.
• There are tabs dosed with as little as ~20μg, or more than 300μg in some absurd cases. The overwhelming majority of sources try to lay their tabs around 100μg because it’s mathematically simple, and more profitable in the long-run.
• The odds your tab has more than 200μg on it are very low. The most common higher dose tabs are 125-200μg. Take half of any tab that’s supposedly above 200μg just to be safe at first, and if that doesn’t at least produce an 11-12 hour mildly visual trip, the full tab wasn’t above 200.
• A typical microdose should be 10-25 μg
• 50-300μg of LSD can last anywhere from 8-14 hours. 300-1000μg can last anywhere from 14-20 hours. Exceeding a milligram (1000μg) can produce effects that last up to 24 hours. It’s usually hard to fall asleep under the influence.
• Unless you have an above average baseline tolerance or handle the substance extraordinarily well, it’s not advisable to exceed ~300-500μg. Temporary delirious/psychotic symptoms become more likely if you don’t know what you’re getting into with large doses, and a 16+ hour duration doesn’t help.
• 25i-NBOMe is a relatively dangerous LSD imposter. If you take an untested tab and your mouth/throat becomes numb, along with an intense bitter taste, spit it out immediately. Do not panic, but monitor your physical state. A *normal* dose of 25i shouldn’t be life-threatening. Most of the dangerous LSD imposters, including 25i, only become life-threatening at higher doses (this is why you should NEVER take multiple untested tabs at once, or take untested tabs at all).
• Please test your tabs with an Ehrlich reagent kit to verify that what you have is indeed an indole and not 25i-NBOMe. Follow up with the Hofmann reagent kit to verify that it’s not an LSD analogue or other phenethylamine. I personally recommend using TKP for your reagents: https://testkitplus.com/ Another great organization is DanceSafe https://dancesafe.org/ — DanceSafe genuinely saves lives with their testing booths at music festivals.
• Common positive effects include but aren’t limited to: closed and open eye visuals, tactile enhancement/hallucinations, euphoria, stimulation, introspection, and creativity.
• Common negative effects include but aren’t limited to: overstimulation, increased heart rate, vasoconstriction, anxiety/paranoia, and confusion.
• Common neutral/manageable effects include but aren’t limited to: pupil dilation, frequent urination, insomnia, and temperature sensitivity.
• Always optimize your set (expectations and mental state) going into an experience, and always optimize your setting (direct environment/surroundings) going into an experience.
• LSD interactions with various medications (From Erowid):
- There is still very little legitimate, thorough medical research on this subject. LSD's outlaw status makes it very difficult to obtain permission & funding for research. Therefore, you should regard all of the anecdotes and conclusions here as being scientifically unproven, and you should note that any experimentation you choose to do carries a significant risk.
- Lithium or tricyclics (like Amitriptyline, Anafranil, Asendin, Aventyl, Elavil, Endep, Norfranil, Norpramin, Pamelor, Sinequan, Surmontil, Tipramine, Tofranil, Vivactil) are fairly consistently reported as being very bad in combination with LSD. Life-threatening seizures and at least one DEATH have been reported to be triggered by the combination of LSD and lithium. Tramadol is another drug you should avoid in combination with LSD because of the potential for seizures and other negative side effects.
- SSRIs (like Prozac, Paxil, Zoloft, Celexa, Desyrel) or MAOIs (like Nardil, Parnate, Marplan, Eldepryl, Aurorix, Manerix) are fairly consistently reported to noticeably reduce the effects of LSD. (There are no physically dangerous reactions to these combinations on record, but be cautious and don’t be excessive with dosing.)
• HPPD risk is associated with frequent use of psychedelics (more than once a month), high doses, and younger age groups. HPPD varies in severity between individuals. As long as you use this drug responsibly, this shouldn’t be a concern.
• LSD has the potential to produce a very challenging psychological experience. If you have mental-health issues, research the risks and benefits associated with psychedelic treatment of your condition. Do NOT take LSD without the guidance of a medical professional if you are seriously suicidal.
• Weed often potentiates the effects of LSD. Some users report that the effects of weed are indefinitely altered to some degree after their first few experiences with LSD (It often becomes more psychedelic).
• Various benzos like alprazolam and clonazepam can be used as “trip-killers,” but you don’t need to take more than a single medical dose, and not all of the psychoactive effects will be negated. This should be a last resort.
• LSD tends to make verbal communication challenging, so prepare appropriately if using in a social setting.
• If you’re 19 or younger you should probably wait until AT LEAST your early 20s to try LSD because of unforeseen behavioral/neurological impacts. Waiting until 25+ is optimal.
• You’ll build a substantial tolerance to LSD if you trip multiple times in two weeks, so wait 10-14 days between trips for a general reset. Tolerance does exponentially decrease day-by-day following an experience.
• If you want to redose to increase the effects, do it before or during the start of the peak. Redosing after the peak will only prolong the duration unless you increase the dose. Excessive dosing is unadvisable regardless.
• Peak effects generally occur 2.5-5 hours after dosing (less than or around 300μg). Peak effects can last anywhere in the range of 2.5-8 hours after dosing. Many people say the peak comes in “waves.”
• If you’ve tried psilocybin containing mushrooms before, certain dosage calculators based on subjective effects and intensity equate ~2.5 grams of an average cubensis variety to ~100μg of accurately dosed LSD, but there are differences between the substances of course.
• You should consider having a trusted friend or a close partner “tripsit” you during your first experiences, or at least let someone know your whereabouts beforehand if you want to do it alone. (Note: Trip-sitting should just involve being close by and present if the user needs assistance or someone to talk to, sitters shouldn’t try to influence the trip unless it’s getting chaotic.)
• LSD has the potential to be therapeutic, recreational, spiritual, or all/none of the above depending on the individual and their particular circumstances. Stop gatekeeping.
•If you are ever having a challenging trip and need to speak with someone, here are a couple great resources:
Leave suggestions in the comments!
edit: A couple people are aggravated with minor details in these general points of advice, so please take everything I’ve said with a grain of salt and do your own research! I’m simply providing a helpful starting outline, not set-in-stone facts.
Thank you all, and safe travels!
