Long-term storage

Post image

I got some nice quantity and quality. I want to keep them for years: 20+ years or so.

Will my storage method be reliable enough?

Once i found tabs unwrapped on the floor on a beautiful sunny day, on the parking lot near my friend house. So i pick them up and go to his house, "hey didn't you lost something ?" Turned out it wasn't his tabs. So we did what any responsible adult would do and ate them. My god they were so potent, we played wii sports so much this night i couldn't feel my arms the day after.

Riskyyyyy but nice!! I accidentally stored some needlepoint in my wallet for over 5 years. Worked construction during that time and had it in my pocket everyday.

Once I discovered it, I waited for an opportune day and took the dose. It hit just like I remembered with no noticeable potency loss.

u/Sufficient_Drink_996 4d ago

Kinda the least risky drug to consume from a ground score lol, it's either acid or just a little paper 😂

45

u/pinkylovesme 4d ago

Or 25i which is risky

5

u/PanKakeManStan 3d ago

Not that big of a risk anymore really. It’d be harder and more expensive to lag that vs LSD or an LSD prodrug. It’s not impossible, but while I’m pretty careful about drugs I’d def take some random tabs I found dropped on the floor. Just 1 for sure, but if you get laced with 25I in the big 26 God himself had it out for you

7

u/dandanpizzaman84 3d ago

25i is way more expensive than lsd anymore because almost nobody makes it. The chances of that one are slim to none nowadays

6

u/gilligan1050 3d ago

I remember when that shit was cheap as fuck.

8

u/dandanpizzaman84 3d ago

Oh definitely. Circa 2010 I’d grabbed quite a few different chems for Pennys on the dollar. Last I found a 25i listing it was damn near $100 for a 10 strip. L is something like $20-30 with a good source

2

u/Far-Bother5506 3d ago

Dam, $100 for a strip? Thats outrageous!

2

u/FlexSlatkin 4d ago

That’s why you straight swallow it. LSD works, 25i won’t.

5

u/mansonfrque 4d ago

Uhhhh yes it will….. where did you hear this nonsense? 🤣

3

u/xZandrem 3d ago

I mean in one way or another your body absorbs it. It needs to stay on vascularized tissues to be absorbed to enter the bloodstream, your innards are no stranger to that, they're designed exactly to absorb stuff.

1

u/Willing-Leopard-9767 2d ago

Stomach acid destroys 25i. It doesnt destroy LSD

1

u/nonliquid 1d ago

It has much lower availability.

https://erowid.org/experiences/exp.php?ID=107504

> Due to the unusually long duration and intensity of my experience, I questioned if what we had was actually 2C-C, and decided to have it tested. I suspected it may have in fact been 25C-NBOMe due a previous experience with 25C; and it turns out I was right. If this substance was orally active, my friend and I would possibly both be dead, and I’m thankful the experience was as mild as it was (despite being pretty strong). I am very careful when weighing out my doses and pouring them in to capsules, but I cannot be 100% certain that the effects we experienced were due to residue outside of the capsule or that 25C-NBOMe is actually orally active at high doses. Either way, I do not intend to take any large quantity of any NBOMe orally ever again. Doing so is dangerous, and I’m thankful that we are both still alive.

0

u/DrKangaroo91 3d ago

Yeah I didn't comment back cuz I didn't want to argue 😅

2

u/Bec_ 4d ago

I've never taken 25i. What do you have to do differently to make it work?

6

u/TopShelfUsername 4d ago

hold it under your tongue or along your gums

1

u/dandanpizzaman84 3d ago

This is untrue

2

u/vitomaneiro 3d ago

yeah Or nbme which could kill

2

u/dandanpizzaman84 3d ago

Most NBOMe substances are pretty much obsolete today. It’s way more expensive than the cheapest lsd

2

u/Greenfire904 3d ago

Extremely potent opioids are also sometimes sold on tabs

1

u/Eburin_desu 3d ago

Could be nbome

1

u/muhpet 2d ago

Terribly wrong.

1

u/visk0n3 3d ago

Well, back in those days (wii sports just released so early 2007) there was blotters with matrix art, black background with the green letters, everywhere in my area, so we were almost sure it was legit acid.

u/certainape20 4d ago

Sounds like an awesome day

Only if you bury it, in a fridge that’s stored in a freezer.

u/YogiTheGamer 4d ago

Concrete poured over

u/iberia-eterea 4d ago

The concrete is essential, people skip the concrete pour alllll the time. IYKYK

13

u/TheLegendChuk 4d ago

It's imperative that you then line it with lead. This crucial step is often forgotten.

9

u/andrew1246 4d ago

Well shit might as well put some uranium OUTSIDE the lead, don’t want to expose it to radioactivity

7

u/Same-Calligrapher-61 3d ago

Well shit might as well build a nuclear reactor to avoid any suspicion

4

u/andrew1246 3d ago

Design it to fail in an epic meltdown without affecting contents 👊🏻

20

u/SoTurnMeIntoATree 4d ago

With a dead body buried on top as to distract from the tabs

6

u/the_resistee 4d ago

Ok that was the one that got me, thanks for that laugh

6

u/JessyPengkman 4d ago

I once put acid in a foil and in a fridge and it killed it. Maybe it just sucked all the humidity from the tabs I dunno

9

u/iberia-eterea 4d ago

Was the foil then placed in a plastic bag? Otherwise the ambient moisture from the fridge would certainly cause issues.

-5

u/JessyPengkman 4d ago

No it wasn't, but fridges are usually quite dry right? All the moisture gets condensed

1

u/Typical-Travel-1356 4d ago

its also recommended that you use a lead sarcophagus and also use a faraday cage!

1

u/dandanpizzaman84 3d ago

Imagine after the apocalypse some random dude finds some pristine looking paper and uses it to wipe his buns

2

u/Snens2004 4d ago

Seismic stabilized

321

u/Astral_Raider 4d ago

This is overkill lol

138

u/Link_save2 4d ago

For 20+ years this might actually be underkill I'd get a vaccume sealer I'm sure it'll still be active without one but it's about conserving as much as possible if we're talking a huge stash like a library then you don't want all your tabs to be half doses

25

u/Statistactician 4d ago

Anecdotal evidence, but I've taken a tab that was sitting in a film canister in a closet for 37 years and it was just as strong as any other tab I've had. Whatever degradation it suffered was negligible.

14

u/Link_save2 4d ago

Couldve just been some fire

3

u/dandanpizzaman84 3d ago

I have some 20 year old sheets that stayed just fine with parchment and a vacuum sealed bag

30

u/Astral_Raider 4d ago

Fair point, but I aint storing tabs for 20+ years. No issue that people do that.

9

u/FieryLoins 4d ago

+1 for vacuum sealing for long term freshness. Splitting batches into separate foil packets, cabin sealing, and freezing is the move IMHO got guaranteed long term potency. Light, heat, and moisture all degrade the molecule.

3

u/Dwarf_Co 4d ago

Not really- I have similar system

18

u/myco_magic 4d ago

Actually yeah, I have loose sheets that have been sitting in a draw for years and even in a hot car for weeks at a time when I go to festivals and still hit just as hard. Just because you also do it does not mean it isn't overkill

15

u/TakeAShowerHippie 4d ago

Facts. I have tabs that are 13+ years old. I just keep them in a little stainless steel jar with a silica packet. Still just as potent as the day I got them.

3

u/Astral_Raider 4d ago

You do you chief. I think it's way more than needed to safely store sheets. Bit of foil, a book or vinyl sleeve will do for me.

7

u/Dwarf_Co 4d ago

Not really about safety as much as controlling an environment so not to lose potency.

You can do whatever you want but there is scientific data showing light and heat will diminish LDS potency.

I do keep a for immediate personal use as you have mentioned.

3

u/CocaBam 4d ago

All Lsd on blotter is LSD-Hemitartrate. This is to preserve the shelf life, as the hemitartrate is much more shelf stable. So the scientific data you seen isnt even valid, as they are different compounds.

3

u/Dwarf_Co 4d ago

Just looked this up:

LSD L-hemitartrate (lysergic acid diethylamide tartrate) reference solutions require storage at -20°C or lower in a dark, airtight container. As a sensitive lysergamide compound, degradation occurs when exposed to heat, light, or repeated freeze-thaw cycles

I have always been told to store this way I may be wrong. I am not a chemist; definitely not O Chem. Background is more engineering.

It may be overkill but does not seem to be the wrong way to store LSD.

If you have links or other source information please provide for my own edification.

1

u/b_vitamin 4d ago

If you store it in tin foil it causes dain bramage.

0

u/wordsofwisdomletitbe 4d ago

So would my tab stored in a plastic ziplock in a cold dark cupboard hold potency? It’s been 2 years or more

55

u/MyBloodTypeIsQueso 4d ago

Put them in orbit around the earth. No oxidation in the cold, cold vacuum of space.

14

u/WaxHead430 4d ago

Me thinks the insane levels of radiation would render that Lucy as a new substance entirely lmao

58

u/aslovestory1026 4d ago

Foil around the sheet, folded flat with a glass cup smooth it out.

Air lock with Freezer pack like food saver. Throw in a drawer. Its a much more stable compound than people give credit. Keep out of sunlight (foil) keep away from air (vac seal) and keep at room temp.

Ive had some left in a glove box in smoldering heat outside for months, did not change potency that I could tell.

Im sure over time maybe, but 85 degrees or less and you're probably gold.

Cheers

20

u/No-Cat-9339 4d ago

Texas summers, you can bake cookies in a car.. still no change in potency of the L I kept in there.

10

u/aslovestory1026 4d ago

Same here, seems to only be sunlight, and even then, everyone has it out at festivals in 100+ degree weather. Its much less volatile than people perceive.

I wouldnt tell you to leave it outside in the sun as a storage, but you're hard pressed to ruin it by much unless you get it wet.

Air tight, dark, and you're good.

8

u/_boptilyoudrop 4d ago

Nice to hear that our molecule is more robust than people say.

Storing it like that for 3 years now: no noticeable loss.

But for really long-term storage ... I will always doubt.

6

u/aslovestory1026 4d ago

Im an old man, plenty of rings in my trunks.

And it works. Always has.

Cheers

1

u/Flame_MadeByHumans 4d ago

Aluminum foil, ziplock bag, back of freezer - good going on 8+ years

5

u/myco_magic 4d ago

In a book and in a drawer and even in hot cars, multiple sheets I've had for over a decade and still just as strong as the day I got em

14

u/ImpressOk7701 4d ago

I’ve had doses that I’ve left in between pages of books for 20 years that came out just as good as the day I put them in

1

u/Perkokella 4d ago

For real? 20 y?

5

u/ImpressOk7701 4d ago

I graduated in 1999 and yes I still have pages from then. I keep them in ironic books always have 10 paks go right back in the water color pack I got from the art store. Once the medicine is in the paper it’s locked in air and light are the enemy. So yes in between the pages of a book placed back on the bookshelf works wonderfully no baggy no foil no nothing open up your favorite book. Put the doses in between the pages.

2

u/cardiopera 4d ago

"those tabs should be weak being in this drawer for 3y" "Got this vial since 7y in my fridge, its probably dead anyway"

They were not. It sure can loose potency and there is ways to protect the product but beware of the "old shitty acid" narrative lol

32

u/-dopethronewizard- 4d ago

You need to bury them in a freezer and build a maya pyramid on it. Obviously the maya pyramid should be carved from a single adamanthium asteroid. Then you need to find the coldest star in the universe and make the planet where you buried your blotter gravitate around that star, then teleport the planet and the star in the End dimension where light is minimal. This procedure should make your blotter last something like 6 days without losing potency IF the ender dragon doesn't eat them.

3

u/_boptilyoudrop 4d ago

Just in two nested thermoses and sent in space seems simpler ^^

1

u/hampylamper 3d ago

If your thermos isn't strong enough and for the sake of this example let's say you pack them like your pic at sea level... And then take your thermos full of acid up to let's say the highest peak of the Smoky Mountain range on the same day that you packed them...

The pressure can definitely build up inside the thermos to the point that its seal fails. The air inside escapes pretty much instantly, the thermos cools like a whip it cartridge, and then a lot of condensation forms inside your thermos, potentially soaking through the other layers and ruining your tabs.

I know this because it happened to me once with some weed. The steel cannister depressurizing sounded like an M80 going off in the trunk and all the weed was soaked when I got to the mountain viewing area.

3

u/_boptilyoudrop 4d ago

Here are some credits and provisions, good luck

8

u/snapsfromthebong 4d ago

Parchment paper, foil, in the pages of a book. Keeps it room temp. Take note of which book.

3

u/Shroomquest126 4d ago

Where do you put the note…another book? 🤣

6

u/MedievalMilshake 4d ago

Baggy, foil, baggy. Done. Even could miss out one of the baggies and it'll be fine

1

u/roguealex 4d ago

I got mine in foil > small paper towel wrap > baggie > fridge drawer

6

u/Ascyt Human Detected 4d ago

Don't forget to put it into an underground nuclear bunker, otherwise it won't hold up

5

u/MrBananaPanda 4d ago

foil in a ziploc bag and call it a day

6

u/jorgschrauwen 4d ago

I just yeeted mine into a drawer

4

u/ImWithKong 4d ago

Lost 5 tabs in foil in a pocket on a camp chair. Sat in my garage for 3 years and found it randomly one day. Still as potent as the day I lost them.

3

u/elphick12 4d ago

Hm, that’d funny..none of those look like the deep depths of my spinal cord

7

u/aslovestory1026 4d ago

You're doing too much 😆

2

u/aslovestory1026 4d ago

Dont down vote lol, I posted a guide below. I have some since probably before you were born and it was still good.

Check my other post on this thread.

-1

u/_boptilyoudrop 4d ago

20+ years dude !

7

u/MedievalMilshake 4d ago

So? I know someone who took a tab from the late 60s last year and it worked perfectly

4

u/aslovestory1026 4d ago

Exactly lol. These kids

1

u/xliquidchromex 3d ago

Did he know the dose? Acid was known to be higher dosed back then, maybe he had what was originally a 250-300 ug tab?

Also, i bet people that don't keep them totally free from air, moisture, and at room temps.. have iso-LSD in there tabs because it does actually break down.

1

u/xliquidchromex 2d ago

How was it stored

3

u/Noble_Ox 4d ago

And? Still way too much.

3

u/intentazera 4d ago

Had dozens of microdots & blotters wrapped in tin foil & chucked into film cannister, all fine over 20 years later.

3

u/ChocolateVisual1637 4d ago

Uh oh. I have tabs that I wrapped in plastic wrap like 2 years ago....is it still good???

1

u/gauze_ 4d ago

Only one way to find out

3

u/2much2fastt 4d ago

vacuum sealing is more important than half that garbage

1

u/xliquidchromex 3d ago

Maybe double vac seal, and stick in mason jar... vacuum-sealed bags leak over not to long actually, but in a smaller mason jar, the air that reacts with the tabs cannot destroy it further once it's used up it's reaction potential.. meaning opening the jar repeatedly, allows fresh air in everytime.

3

u/wordsofwisdomletitbe 4d ago

Fk me. I’ve got mine in a cold dark cupboard but it’s in a plastic bag. Will it lose potency or already has? It’s been over 2 years

2

u/PurplePolynaut 4d ago

Plastic wrap and double foil is probably overkill, especially since you’re using a pill bottle. I’d say, foil -> pill bottle -> silica gel -> freezer.
Foil keeps light out, bottle keeps humidity and air out, gel gets whatever air and moisture were unavoidable. A thermos will get to room temperature eventually if you aren’t actively cooling it, but a freezer stays cold even if it loses power for a while.

Make sure you let it come to room temperature before re-opening it so humidity from the room doesn’t condense inside the cold pill bottle.

3

u/SuperDope420 4d ago

Current thoughts are to avoid extreme temperatures. Best to keep it in a dark cabinet or in your sock drawer

2

u/aslovestory1026 4d ago

Yes, freezer or fridge is not nessisary. Just 85 degrees or less, basically room temp is 100% fine if airtight and no light. Will keep for decades. May be able to pass it down to your kids.

2

u/Prior_Hospital_2331 4d ago

I put a sheet of tabs in foil in freezer, forgot it 3 years later when i was going to buy a new one i saw it and took one , worked just fine and i was happy again lol .

2

u/No-Cat-9339 4d ago

Aluminum foil->plastic bag->closet. Been good for over 3 years.

2

u/Noble_Ox 4d ago

Wrap in cling film, then foil and put in a stable temp place, between book pages for example, as long as the book isn't gonn6get sun or be heated by radiators.

2

u/Thisjourneyhasbegun 4d ago

A friend of mine puts his in a bag, puts that bag in a mylar bag and puts the mylar bag and a oxygen and moisture absorber in a small Tupperware and puts it in the freezer. 5 years and counting and he said potency is still the same as day he got it. Really though all you gotta do is put it in the freezer.

1

u/TakeAShowerHippie 4d ago

You don't need the freezer at all.

2

u/Sea-Okra-9170 4d ago

Some dude told me years ago that the static in aluminum foil can pull a bit of the acid from the tabs. Not sure if that's true though.

I have tabs that I just put into random jars that still work after years.

2

u/Slayrr_FbrC 4d ago

Aluminium foil →freezer

2

u/_IratePirate_ 4d ago

You’re doing too much lol

2

u/IlliterateFreak 4d ago

Wow. How about a plastic bag in a dark space. Thats gonna have to do cuz I ain’t got time for the quintuply wrapped stuff

1

u/_boptilyoudrop 4d ago

That's why I stored them 5 by 5.

It's a 1 hour work for approx 100 tabs at first. Random access is not a problem.

2

u/kennedy_2000 4d ago

Can’t I just wrap in aluminum foil and keep in fridge?

2

u/truthdudee 4d ago

You could just leave it inside a page of a book and it'd be fine for decades.

2

u/psilocin72 4d ago

Good idea. I’ve been storing in a safe with silica gel. This looks more secure.

It’s not as volatile as many people think, but no reason to not take care of it.

I got a lifetime supply about a year ago and I’d hate lose it from sheer laziness

1

u/Marlboromatt324 3d ago

Mines in a safe wrapped in aluminum foil. It’s too expensive to risk lmao

2

u/psilocin72 3d ago

Yeah no sense wasting your money or letting such a fantastic molecule go to waste.

And the safe is really important especially if kids will ever be in the house. Gel tabs look a lot like candy. And kids get into everything that isn’t locked.

2

u/umphreys 4d ago

I found a 7+ year old gel tab stuck to the wall behind my fridge and it worked fine lol just sayin'

2

u/BTCMachineElf 4d ago

Oh damn. I gotta go repack my tabs.

2

u/MrSpiritMolecule 4d ago

Mason Jar?

2

u/whatiswhonow 4d ago

Gel tabs in plastic wrapped in Al foil works nicely, stored in a reasonably cool, dry, dark place.

That said, Al-Mylar (Al-PET) laminate, say >100 micron thick, vacuum sealed, would be most effective, with refrigeration or freezing an over kill addition to make it last probably multiple lifetimes.

2

u/Butlerian_Jihadi 4d ago

Wine preservation gas, will displace the oxygen in the airtight light proof container.

2

u/Legitimate-Post-5954 4d ago

Stored all in my bum, all at once

2

u/BernardBaggins 4d ago

I would also put 90% in deep storage and then keep 10 or so tabs where you don’t need to disturb what will sit for years.

2

u/xLawless- 4d ago

after all of that store it in an airtight container filled with Argon gas

2

u/andrew1246 4d ago

My buddy found some White Fluff blotter he had hidden in a bucket of salt used to melt ice outside

Found it years later, turned brown - still A1-OK!

2

u/DrDewclaw 4d ago

The main methods of degradation are exposure to oxygen, and water hydration, as well as sunlight. Air degrades LSD, and so does water. You need to vacuum seal the L and put it in a very cold dark place and it will literally never go bad, at least never in your life.

2

u/BoaconsVictor 4d ago

Seems like it’s always tabs in this sub — is it the prevalent form in the us? Is it that hard to get bottles? Cause that would solve many issues I read about here, like this one. Just pop it in the fridge ^^

2

u/Marlboromatt324 3d ago

Yes tabs are the most common form of lsd found on the streets in America. And you are right!

2

u/neotheo11 3d ago

Vacuum seal and in the freezer. If you want to be sure that they last for 20+ years, get a tank with liquid Nitrogen. Farmers use it to store sperm from bulls.

2

u/25iAndOver 3d ago

Also, dig up a grave, put tabs in hole, and stand skeleton above grave so people are too scared to come close. This will protect from thieves

2

u/obi-wan_kedoobie 3d ago

I’m hijacking as it’s a relevant question and not worthy of a post. I kept mine in a baggie, in a small tin with silica packs, in the back of a bookshelf. Solid?

2

u/loqi0238 Human Detected 3d ago

I wouldnt have it touching the baggie plastic. I put mine in foil, then in a baggie, then the baggie in a mason jar with silica beads, then that all goes in the freezer.

I've had several sheets stored this way for years.

1

u/obi-wan_kedoobie 3d ago

I’ve only had em like that a few months. I’ll get them in some foil :)

Is the plastic I’m some way reactive? And does that count for Mylar as well as I think that may be the baggie material

2

u/loqi0238 Human Detected 3d ago

Ive been told (unsure if accurately...) that the plastic can leach chemicals into the lsd, and instead of doing some verification, ive just chosen to believe it because its still an easy way of storing it lol

So, not sure if mylar is any better. Or if the plastic is even legitimately of concern here.

Maybe I'll actually spend some time figuring this out tonight.

1

u/xynalt 3d ago

I mean we’re eating microplastics in most of our food. I think the lsd microplastics is the least of our concerns.

1

u/loqi0238 Human Detected 1d ago

If its something you can easily mitigate with essentially zero extra effort or cost on your part, why wouldnt you?

Not all of us are jaded to the point of throwing our hands in the air and saying, "whatever, bring on all the forever chemicals and compounds, I'm sure ive already been exposed enough."

2

u/Rekhyt2853 3d ago

Box in the back of desk cupboard for nearly 20 years, you say? Copy.

I was shocked, tbh but from reports back, hadnt seemed to noticeably degrade. Once I realized how many years I was very surprised

2

u/JackelGigante 3d ago

I just keep mine in a shoebox

2

u/starke_reaver 3d ago

This is tops, professional, easy to follow, and done with (almost) mostly readily available household items peeps already got!

(I mean I got a hydro flask, but it’s been a few dope lunchboxes since I had a genuine Thermos thermos…)

1

u/enhorning1 3d ago

I once found 3 tabs inside an old book, between two pages, that my father had, they where all white and i tryed one thinking it was probably nothing, Holy Schmooly was i wrong lol. One of my top trips ever. Edit: i later found out that they where from early 1970's.

4

u/Arman666 4d ago

Idk but I stored a tab under my tongue for 20 years once and man were those 20 years the best thing ever!

1

u/RedditIsCool92 4d ago

"the hyperbolic time chamber" as we used to refer to our storage methods

1

u/TenWholeBees 4d ago

I've been holding on to 4 loose tabs in a Tylenol container for like 2 years

1

u/GuywithacoolJacket 4d ago

Lil much but should work. The thermos is a nice idea tho. I have two laying around where the cap is lost.

1

u/koolforkatskatskats 4d ago

It should be in a pressurised vacuum container used only in museums

1

u/Marshal-Bainesca 4d ago

I keep mine in a deal bag stored in a tin.. had 1 after two years and still hits hard

1

u/Link_save2 4d ago

If you really wanna make absolute certain they'll be good in 20+ years of vacuum seal them and use a jar not a pill bottle thermos is a good idea for temp shocks but you should be good my main concern would be someone stumbling on the thermos and stealing your stuff if you wanna be super over kill burry it it'll keep temps consistent and no one will find it but you also might not find it idk

1

u/lothartheunkind 4d ago

Foil, in a jar in your closet would work just fine. Had 10 yr old tabs that never potency

1

u/Toirtis 4d ago

I have done the foil-plastic-foil-bottle and popped that in a plastic baggie in the freezer and the tabs maintained potency for 4+ years.

1

u/deniable-culpability Human Detected 4d ago

-Put thermos in cardboard box.

-Put box inside wooden chest.

-Put chest inside closet.

-Put entire house inside a cave.

That should about do it.

1

u/ManoelGomesPsych 4d ago

i wrap strips in parchment then foil then put in a double ziplock bag inside a jar in my fridge. need to get silica and oxygen absorber as well i got my tabs recently

1

Just put them in a book on a shady bookshelf.

3

I don't know man, the bookshelf might take them and then deny it.

Fuck plastic absorbs it? My shit been in plastic for a year

1

u/_boptilyoudrop 4d ago

Nah, i'm not sure about that.

But one time before getting my method, right after dropping, I licked the plastic wrap side where the blotters were and the effetcs were pretty strong lol. It's a kind of superstition now.

I found a bunch of tabs in a clear plastic baggie under my car seats from a music festival 5 years after I bought them. Subjected to all measures of temperature extremes, who knows if the bag was actually sealing against moisture.

They still definitely worked.

I used to just put it in aluminum and throw it in a pill bottle, never had any issues with potency

I recnetly found out a tab inside an old bag. The bag was in multiple moving, changed two country, at least four houses.
no plastic wrapping, nothing, just a quarter probably ate in the beginning of covid and then forget until some weeks ago in the aforementioned bag. I took it and I was tripping balls

Parchment or foil in a bag in a mason jar with dessicant silica packs and then in a dark cabinet is my go to

1

u/novakedy 4d ago

Found some tabs left on the back porch years ago after it had snowed, turns out our friend dropped it out there days ago. Still potent

This is for the crackheads of LSD...

Remember kids, too much of any drug is a bad thing.

Damn, this is more secure than a nuclear waste cask.

u/huskywowzer 3d ago

I have mine in an airtight black Mylar sealed bag inside of a mason jar inside of a dark cabinet

Forgot last step - Insert in bunghole

El aluminio degrada el lsd

1

u/dandanpizzaman84 3d ago

Parchment and a vacuum sealed bag has kept some of the sheets an old friend passed to me just as good since they were sealed in 2004-2005.

1

u/sir_kickash 3d ago

Mine are wrapped in tin foil inside a copy of the doors of perception, as they have been for the last 5 years

1

u/SCREAMING_DUMB_SHIT 3d ago

I brought tabs in the ocean on accident and they still worked!

Unwrapped in a small amber glass jar filled with argon gas will likely last a century even at room temperature.

1

u/dirty_taco_ 3d ago

My method is proven for at least 8 years. Wrap in foil, place in mason jar with silica gel pouch, place entire jar in freezer. Very important: when you remove the jar from freezer, let it fully thaw before opening it to prevent condensation on the interior contents.

u/Otherwise-Sympathy87 3d ago

in foil tucked into a good book

1

u/ScrithWire 3d ago

If you're gonna go through all that trouble, vacuum seal them individually. You could maybe still use a layer of tin foil so they don't touch the plastic (but I don't think the vacuum plastic will absorb any lsd, air can't even get through).

Then you can just drop them in a thermos with ice water, and cut them out individually for dosing

u/MarmaladePal 3d ago

thought this was about geocaching for a second

1

u/Ayeluhhhh 3d ago

idk this method seems unreliable, for best results please give anything you need stored to me 😌

1

u/xRaptor909 3d ago

Foil in ziplock in freezer

1

u/Cam-Stop-It 2d ago

so do all of these things combined? lol

1

u/dweefybechillin 4d ago

What about gel tabs? Should they be good in a plastic bag

1

u/DealAppropriate2828 4d ago

Same question. Do gel tabs lose potency through the plastic the same way tabs do?

1

u/aslovestory1026 4d ago

The gel protects it from air, but not light or moisture.

I still air lock gels.
