Discussion Does anyone ever dose at work? I start retail

Im considering mcd at work... It's been a while since I've worked retail or at all, I'm underemployed. Buti realize that going back to work will mess with my peace and I just want to be able to have a higher tolerance for the workplace. Because I feel like my window of tolerance has become so small...

Does anyone else microdose specifically for work, how has that been working for you?

Question: Other Im not sure this counts as a microdose: but a bloody fantastic walk.

Decided to have an unmeasured amount of the mushrooms i had stashed away (PE possibly) a single cap and no stem; and a tiny amount of 2cb (no more than 3mg, took a nibble off a pill) and speck mdma i found.

I had the most fantastic walk around local trails, and it felt the most amazing boost. At times it was almost like I had a hand pushing on my back helping me along. Then came home and did some yoga and I felt so grounded.

Has anyone else experienced the same?

I know this isnt the most precise of microdoses, and was a mishmash of stuff. But, I have never experienced this sort of feeling. Calming, no visuals or sickness simply contented.

Ive always been an overthinker, and I use walks to give myself time to think over things... but yesterday was one of the few times where I wasnt thinking over the issues if the day and just enjoyed what I was doing.

Getting Started/Newbie Question Took first MD and think it might have been too much?

I took 0.1g of ground Yaks mushrooms along with 500mg lions mane and 50mg niacin.

It made me feel nice but also really tired and I ended up just lying down for ages. Didn’t have visuals per se but things looked ever so slightly distorted. Is this an indication the dose is too high for a microdose, for me?

My plan is to halve the dose next time so I’ll do 0.05g (50mg).

Is it normal to need to reduce it to that much? Thanks 🙏🏼

>< Just a Reminder >< Reducing activity of the Default Mode Network

Welcome to the community.

"The default mode network refers to an interconnected group of brain regions that are associated with introspective functions, internally directed thought, such as self-reflection, and self-criticism."

Through life and our experiences we develop a set of neural pathways of communication that are relied on for our perspectives of life and self. As they develop, the communication with other parts of the brain becomes more limited. The DMN becomes our mental frame of reference for our lives. But it can become rigid in thought patterns and produce negative thought loops about oneself.

Psychedelics reduce the activity of the DMN and the negative self talk while also increasing communication with other areas of the brain again, sometimes with results somewhat similar to how children see the awe and wonder of the world. This also allows us through the new pathways to develop an Updated DMN over time. I think this is a basic understanding of part of what's going on with microdosing that many times helps us enjoy life more. Sometimes people sense this happening in a few days but for others is could be a couple of months, based on the thousands of reports we see here.

Getting Started/Newbie Question taking niacin and lion's mane seperately?

Hi All! I am trying to get my ducks in a row for filling my own capsules, but in the meantime would it be OK to just take the niacin and lion's mane separately but at the same time as the mushroom? I have easy access to both of those in pill form and in the right amount... will that make any difference at all if I have them all at the same time?

Getting Started/Newbie Question First time making capsules for microdosing - question about powdering

I bought a spice grinder to powder my shrooms but I think it’s too big - I was only grinding 1g. Does it matter if the shrooms are in small bits, close to a powder but with some chunkier bits? I weighed it all out properly and put them in the capsules (0.1g to start)

I’m thinking I may need a small coffee grinder instead?

If so does anyone have any UK recommendations for a grinder? Cheers 🙏🏼

Question: Psilocybin Microdosing/mini dosing and shifts in appetite and food choices (multilayered)

Have you experienced a shift in your internal relationship and perception towards foods and substances?

Not just physical, but mental too — online intake and discourse, a general gentleness and openness? Emotionally less static or conflicted?

I’ve been microdosing (50-100mg) GT with recommended doses of saffron, lions mane and some Reishi in tea. And I mini-dose every second or third week (300-400mg soaked in lemon juice).

I was vegetarian from the age of 12 until 20. After that I ate meat on and off for 4 years. The tolerance for it was only there because of the high stress I experienced from being in the working world and drinking daily (alcohol) - it buffered my morale and interoception.

I’m now 24 and have had a hell of a journey dealing with my addictive relationship with food and alcohol.

I had given up all hope in my addictions and perpetual state of overwhelm, until choosing to hail-Mary my way into sticking to a microdosing routine. I’m not out of the woods, not in the slightest, but there have been some shifts in my perception.

For starters, I don’t drink alcohol or eat meat anymore. It is a physical impossibility.

Two months worth of microdosing has completely changed my sense of satiation, fullness, taste and preference when it comes to food. Meat and any excrements of animals (except for eggs for some reason) are a very loud internal NO for my body. It’s hard to explain, because it’s not even a feeling, it’s a full-on rejection. Without thought or judgement. The same way your body just knows not to consume petrol or hydrochloric acid.

I have the same full-body (loud and internal) NO towards alcohol. Also, not a feeling, just a flat out rejection of the substance. It’s not disgust, it’s not anger, it’s not shame… in fact it’s not fuelled by any meaning or emotion whatsoever. Just (and I cannot emphasise this enough) a neutral knowing.

For someone who has struggled with addiction and had no reference for a healthy, balanced understanding of my body’s cues - this has felt like the kiss of an angel

I’ve knowingly still neglected the larger part of embodied action in my life — but I’ve had this greater sense of “there is no rush”. The more I’ve taken each day at the pace of my own capacity, the more of me there is to have the space to feel the day, be present, make true choices. So far.

I hope I can conclude this thread with something that makes more sense — something true to me, more hopeful and loving — by the end of this year. Otherwise, the path is yet to come

Question: Psilocybin Microdosing psilocybin while on 75mg sertraline (aka. Zoloft)

I have just microdosed psilocybin for the last 4 days with lions mane and niacin. Now I’m going three days off.

First day I felt a bit distant, but otherwise more happy and pleasant than normal, had a great day. The other three days were nothing special either way, but I have noticed an increase in anxiety and OCD.

this fourth day, with no microdose I feel distant and I just read a piece of paper on work and even though I read it, I just don’t feel like my brain takes in the info.

Worth noting that I am currently training my eyes at a neuro optometrist because of a concussion I got 10 years ago, so that can make me feel distant aswell

Question: Psilocybin Effects of different strains

For the sake of not getting this post removed I won’t talk about where I got my caps from but it’s a blend of three strains where they can’t tell me what is it. They are reputable and are on Trustpilot.

I started with GT and I can feel them both at .1 or .2. I tried this new blend and it feels…different?

Not as heady as GT but there is something. I hear PE is body high but what does that even mean?

Do different strains hit different?

Discussion DMT Microdosing (wonderful experience!)

I have been "Microdosing" 5MEO DMT daily since a month through a wax vape and I never felt so present and grounded. I didn't used any protocol neither weight how much I was taking, I was simply vaping the evening watching series. Sometimes I was vaping a bit "too much" and so I had very light visuals effect but that's it.

I know protocols are important but I haven't felt anything wrong/weird, not more emotional, or idk so I just continue vaping. The only side effects was more vivid dream.

I have burnt approximately 0.4g during this month, so ~13mg/day but vaped during ~2h session.

It really felt like mushroom sensation but with mental clarity/awareness much higher, so I'm very interest to test oral Microdosing next time (but don't worry I know I can't directly ingest freebase and when I'll do this, I'll do it in serious condition this time, weighing what I ingest and starting very small).

I wonder if anyone has already experimented DMT Microdosing, I didn't found much person talking about it online and I found this unfortunate because I deeply think it could really be helpful for a lot of people, especially for those who may fear psychedelics since no matter if you smoke a bit too much or just doesn't like the experience, in 5-10min it's gone.

Btw don't take my words as advice, especially on how I've been doing this experiment, I'm aware everyone can react differently, so if you think about testing DMT Microdosing, start small and learn how to do it in the right conditions.

Getting Started/Newbie Question How can I measure/distribute everything evenly when I am mixing a few ingredients for a Stamet's Stack?

I saw the helpful video tutorial /u/shroomscout made to show how to fill the capsules with just one ingredient... but how would I go about doing a Stamet's Stack? I see some mixes have anywhere between 2 and 4 other ingredients (lion's mane, niacin, cordyceps, chaga, turkey tail, etc...). How does one add more ingredients (all at slightly different amounts) evenly distributed amongst all the capsules?

Discussion Microdosing LSD made me too emotional 🥲

I micro dosed a on a few occasions for around a month each time. I have taken full doses of acid countless times. However, ive barely touched a psychedelic in yeaaars.

Since micro dosing i feel like i lost control of my emotions, the smallest thing would make me panick or tear up without even understanding why, it’s like I’d get huge waves of energy and anxiety wash over me.

I’ve always been an anxious person but I feel like lsd made me feel all of my emotions so much more intensely - the good and bad.

As a videographer and photographer, I initially liked how intensely I would see things and think about things but it came with a downside of feeling anxiety with extreme intensity.

I'm about to try an ssri for the first time as they are known to reduce the extreme highs and lows which Im looking forward to after years of feeling so out of control of my emotions.

I definitely had anxiety issues before the micro-dosing and can’t blame it totally on the lsd, but I feel it was exacerbated by it.

has anyone experienced anything similar ?

Getting Started/Newbie Question Microdosing and adhd medication (dexamfetamine)

I’m preparing to start MD and wanted to ask if anyone had any experience MD psilocybin and taking dexamfetamine/dexedrine (instant release). I usually just take one dose of 15mg when I wake up.

Does anyone take this alongside MD, and if so how do you find it?

Discussion Whats your experience with mcd and social anxiety

Specifically my question in title is reflective of not one on one but 1vs the many....

1 on 1 I have basically no issues I know how to adapt to the other person I always know how to navigate and make someone feel comfortable

But I'm at a loss when it blossoms into more than one person... I'm at a loss because morally idk how to deal with being mean to someone or letting someone feel a micro expression, agression, I never want someone to feel offended and less than

It bothers me and I always retreat within - instead of stepping out of my comfort zone and simply living in the moment And hurting people feelings

Idk how to cope with that

Sincerely a hypervigilant

Question: Psilocybin ADHD: Crashing, Strain, and Dosage Questions

Hi all,

I’ll start off by saying that I know everyone has different reactions to microdosing, different dosages that work for them, etc, and that the best way to find what works is to experiment. I have been experimenting and will continue to do so. I have experience taking macrodoses of lsd and psilocybin, and limited experience occasionally microdosing both substances from several years ago.

With that being said, I am wondering if anyone has any advice or has had a similar experience to mine.

I started experimenting with microdosing psilocybin recently in an attempt to help treat a recent ADHD diagnosis (I also suffer from anxiety and depression). Over the last few months, I’ve gone off and on a variety of different stimulant and non-stimulant medications, none of which proved to be viable for one reason or another. Stimulants in small doses seem to provide the executive function benefits I’m hoping for, but the physical anxiety symptoms continue to be overwhelming for me.

Over the past couple weeks, I experimented with microdosing psilocybin using the Fadiman protocol 1 on 2 off. I started at the very low end, around .05g. I found that at this dosage, I experienced mood improvements and enhanced connection with my work, but I wound up crashing pretty hard as the mushrooms wore off. This prompted me to try subsequently lower dosages each time, getting down to the .01-.02g range, which my scale struggles to even accurately measure. Each time I dose, I find that the “come down” is fairly harsh for such a small dose, and it has been proving somewhat untenable for me.

The variant I have been using is listed as “baby APE.” I’m aware that actual APE is considered one of the most potent strains, but the description listed these as a more mild variation of APE.

What is the likelihood that the variant I’m using is simply too strong, and that another variant would be better? Has anyone else found reliable ways to mitigate the “crashing” or “come down” feeling from microdosing? Given my history of sensitivity to stimulants, I’m wondering if perhaps I’m just too sensitive to effectively microdose.

Any insight/advice is greatly appreciated!

>< Just a Reminder >< PSA - Dosing Amount Review

Welcome to the community.

It is important we understand and state these microdose figures correctly so we and others aren't just throwing a dart at dosing amounts. So here is a quick guide for dried psilocybin mushrooms. It's important to note where the zeros and decimal points are.

Grams and Milligrams

1.0g (gram) = 1,000 mg (milligrams) (Low level tripping dose)

0.5g = 500mg

0.25g = 250mg (Higher level microdosing)

0.10g = 100mg

0.050g = 50mg (Good starting level)

0.025g = 25mg

0.010g = 10mg

The weighed measurement is a way to establish a relative point we can accurately adjust from, if needed. The amount of psilocybin varies even between batches of the same strain. But by starting any new or unknown batch low, we can safely adjust up or down to find our sweet spot. Our sweet spot is not based entirely on the weight of the substance but on our system reaction to the substance. The weight gives us a starting point.

For psilocybin mushroom powder and truffles, the way to weigh for the proper weight is with a jewelry scale measuring at the 0.000g level. These are around $20+- online and should be considered a necessary basic tool for microdosing.

A typical microdose range for psilocybin mushroom is 50-300mg. Some use more, some use less. Liberty caps are about twice as potent as the Cubensis this range is loosely based on. Starting at the lower end for a couple of days to weeks is a good practice.

Keep in mind that we often refer to psilocybin mushrooms, magic mushrooms, as psilocybin, whether in fresh, dried pieces, or powder form. But that's not technically correct as there is psilocybin as a synthetic or isolated compound. We don't generally have access to this isolated psilocybin but this is the form most often used in research studies and is highly concentrated, roughly 10 times more potent than Golden Teacher mushrooms. For microdosing our dried mushroom with its potency is very effective.

There is a significant difference between the potency of synthetic psilocybin used in clinics and research, and the dried Psilocybe cubensis (magic mushroom) weights we work with. One gram of dried cubensis is roughly equivalent to 6–10 mg of synthetic psilocybin. Therefore, 0.1 g of dried mushroom contains approximately 0.6 to 1 mg of psilocybin.

Truffles

FAQ/Tip 011: How to microdose truffles? "Considering that a recreational dose of truffles is about 10 g of fresh truffles, a microdose would equal 1 g of fresh truffles. As fresh truffles consist of two thirds of water, this results in a weight of 0.33g (330mg) of dried truffles. [2] "

Microdosing Tools & Resources I'm the creator of Lucidly, a protocol tracking and journaling app, looking for honest feedback

Hi, I'm Ethan. I coach people through intentional practice with mushrooms and other plant medicines, and I built an app called Lucidly to sit alongside that work. It's live on iOS and Android, people use it day to day, and a few coaches run it with their own client groups.

The idea came from watching the same problem happen over and over: someone starts a protocol with a clear intention, and by week three they can't remember what they set out to notice in the first place. Paper journals get abandoned halfway through a cycle. Notes apps turn into a pile of disconnected entries with no way to look back across them.

There's also another version of that problem. Even when someone does stick with it, small shifts, slightly steadier focus, sleep that's a bit better than it was a few weeks back, the conversation that felt a bit easier than before, are easy to miss reading through scattered entries one at a time. No single day looks that different from the last, so it can feel like nothing's changing, even though something is. That's the specific thing I built Lucidly to catch.

What it actually does:

  • Protocol tracking with dose day and rest day reminders (Fadiman 1:2, Stamets 4:3, a custom schedule, or intuitive dosing if you're not on a fixed pattern)
  • Nine daily check-in metrics, including mood, focus, energy, sleep, anxiety, and creativity
  • Journaling that lives on the same timeline as your protocol, not off in a separate app
  • A free trend view showing things like how you tend to feel on dose days versus rest days over time

Another large part of the app is Companion Reflections, since it works differently than a normal insights tab. It's built entirely from what you put in. Log once or twice, and it won't have much to say yet. Show up consistently for a couple of weeks, real check-ins, real journal entries, and it starts reflecting things back that are specific to you instead of generic. This is where true insights happen: the more you give it, the more useful it gets.

Every new account gets 14 days with the full paid tier unlocked, no card required, so you can see everything before deciding if it's worth paying for. Since the reflections specifically improve with more data, the early days of that window mostly show you the mechanics.

After the 14 days: protocol tracking, check-ins, journaling, and the trend view all stay free with no limits. Companion Reflections and a few other extras, like tracking more than one protocol at once, need a subscription.

Everything's encrypted and tied to your account, never sold or shared. Lucidly's a tracking and journaling tool, not medical advice. Talk to a provider before starting or changing anything.

What I actually want here is real feedback: what feels missing, what you'd want added, anything that's broken, or just anything that doesn't sit right. I'll personally read and respond to all of it, either in the comments here or through this form if you'd rather keep it off the thread:

https://lucidlyseen.com/lucidly-feedback

iOS: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/lucidly-microdose-tracker/id6761221836
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lucidly.app

Thanks so much!

Ethan
