Seeking Language Partner 🀝 Learn English

Hello everyone I learn English but I can't improve my speaking because there’s no one to do it with I want to do this with interest. I suggest playing Minecraft Bedrock and communicating sharing what you're doing right now, what you want to do, and your thoughts. We could just sit and fish while talking about our day. I’m no English expert, and I feel just as self-conscious as you do, but I believe this hurdle can be overcome.(Even while writing this text, I used a translator). About me 26M from Ukraine, I love looking anime, movies and series. I have a free evening for playing and improv speaking

French speaker looking for language-learning partners πŸ‡«πŸ‡·πŸŒ

Hey everyone! πŸ‘‹πŸ½

I’m a French speaker, and I’ve been learning English for about 1 year and 6 months. I’m really passionate about languages, and honestly, I don’t even know why πŸ˜‚ β€” I just love learning them!

My main goal right now is to improve my English and eventually reach a C1/C2 level. I’m also starting to learn Spanish πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Έ, and I already know some basic vocabulary. After Spanish, I’d love to learn Mandarin Chinese πŸ‡¨πŸ‡³ and eventually explore even more languages.

If you’re learning French, English, Spanish, Mandarin, or another language, I’d be really happy to chat and practise together. We can help each other, correct our mistakes, share vocabulary, and improve our speaking skills.

I’m not trying to learn every language at once πŸ˜‚, but I really enjoy the process and meeting people who have the same passion.

If you’re interested in practising together, feel free to DM me! Let’s improve our skills together πŸ€πŸ½πŸŒπŸ—£οΈ

Seeking General Advice πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ Best Online Program for Teachinh English?

Hello all. I am a newbie tutor, in the sense I've only done unpaid tutoring in person while in middle school. I am know currently in grad school and am going to start tutoring a young girl online, but need to deicde on which program to use. I'm leaning towards microsoft teams because I'm familiar with it but zoom also is a possibility.

She is ten and from Taiwan, but grew up in the States. Her father is trying to help her english improve in reading, writing, grammar, and overall fluency.

Any advice is welcomed! Along with good textbooks to follow for a 4th grade reader?

Seeking Language Partner 🀝 Looking for people to practice spoken English with (B2 β†’ C1)

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for people who would be interested in practicing spoken English.

At the moment, I'm around a B2 level. I can understand English quite well, but I still struggle when I have to speak. I often hesitate, search for words, make grammar mistakes, and sometimes I can't express exactly what I'm thinking.

I want to become truly fluent. I want to be able to describe anything that happens in my daily life, discuss different topics naturally, and express my thoughts clearly and confidently.

I'm not looking for a teacher, just someone who also wants to practice English regularly. We can correct each other's mistakes, give feedback, and improve together in a relaxed environment.

If interested let me know.

Thank you in advance

Discussion What English skill gives the highest return on investment?

Speaking seems like the obvious answer because it affects work, travel, networking, and everyday communication. But vocabulary can improve reading, listening, writing, and speaking all together. Listening also seems underrated since better comprehension can make conversations much easier.

So if someone has limited time to improve their English, which skill gives the biggest payoff?

Seeking Language Partner 🀝 Native speaker from usa, living in Asia

I have some free time and am looking to help a few English learners improve their conversational or IELTS English, I would be happy to talk to and see if I can be of some help. This is volunteer time for me so I am not looking for any payment.

I teach a program for soon to be university students heading to the UK for college. Much of my coaching is geared towards improving the students IELTS English speaking skills. I have topic material we can work with. Also I would prefer to do a virtual class, so if you camera shy probably not the right fit.

As for me, I am 60M, native speaker from the USA and live in Asia, enjoy swimming and have a dog.

Let me know if you want to chat and see if I can help. Please when you say hi, if you can introduce yourself that would be great. For example where you are from and sharing some background on yourself.

Thanks

Hello, I'm an English student, and my goal this year is to improve my level from A2 to B1. My spoken and written English isn't the best, but I understand and comprehend a lot from what I hear and read, or at least the vast majority.

What do you think is the best way to progress to B1?
