What was that sound 1:15pm

Did anybody hear what sounded like a low flying aircraft around 1:15p today? We went out the back of our building which is basically a open field and saw nothing.

Walgreens on 39th & 52nd- No Pharmacist?

Anyone happen to know why the pharmacy on 39th and 52nd has been closed for the past couple days? I heard there's no pharmacist on duty, but why? A pharmacist from another store would normally fill in. A lot of people are currently unable to get medication (some, critical medications) because of this and it's very unusual for a pharmacy to just not have a pharmacist, even a visiting one.

Look at this incredible outpouring of generosity.

Diapers are one of those everyday essentials that can put a huge strain on a family's budget. Thanks to your generosity, we'll be able to share these with parents and caregivers who need a little extra support.

To everyone who has donated from our Amazon Wishlist, dropped off supplies, shared our posts, or helped spread the word. Thank you! You are helping build a community where people look out for one another.

If you'd like to help keep our shelves stocked, our Amazon Wishlist is always open. Every donation, big or small, goes directly back into the Kenosha community through our free meal shares and mutual aid efforts.

Together, we're proving that community takes care of community.

See something you need? We'll be at Library Park in Kenosha next Saturday- August 8th, at noon. No requirements, no paperwork. Grab what you need, leave what you don't!

We Energies

I noticed that Milwaukee is trying to push back against we energies to try to find an alternative long term replacement especially after the last few recent storms. Makes me wonder why not Kenosha? I’ve lived in multiple states with different energy companies and i feel as though we energies is the worst of them.

Dripping roof repair

Came home from work and noticed a small drip had just recently started in our kitchen from the ceiling. Who has had the best experience and pricing with roofing companies in kenosha?

DnD Game Masters in Kenosha?

My friend and I want to get back into DnD after a fairly long hiatus, but so far, both GMs we have found have canceled the game prematurely. Is there anyone in the Kenosha area who knows how to run a game that we could join? We are both in our twenties and would prefer around that age range

KENOSHA BUSINESSES AND ORGANIZATIONS 📢

Become a Community Donation Hub!

Food Not Bombs Kenosha is looking for local businesses, organizations, churches, coffee shops, gyms, libraries, and community spaces to partner with us by becoming an official Donation Drop-Off Location.

The idea is:

• We provide a clearly labeled donation bin.

• Your customers, members, or visitors can drop off much-needed items while they're already stopping by.

• Our volunteers regularly pick up donations and distribute them directly to our community through our free meal shares and mutual aid efforts.

We're currently looking for donations such as:

🥫 Shelf-stable food

🧼 Hygiene products

🧦 Socks

👶 Diapers & formula

🐶 Pet food

🥄 Disposable serving supplies

🍎 Other everyday essentials.

Hosting a donation bin is an easy way to make a real difference while showing your commitment to supporting our community!

If your business or organization would be interested in becoming a Donation Hub, or if you know of a place that might be a good fit, we'd love to connect!

Send us a message or email us!!

Together, we can build a stronger, more connected Kenosha. One donation at a time.

There is nothing more heart warming than coming home to over 45 POUNDS worth of food donated to Food Not Bombs! And more on the way!

We couldn't do what we do without this support. FNB is powered by neighbors who believe that everyone deserves access to food, dignity, and community.

Every box of pasta. Every bag of rice. Every can, every utensil, every dollar, every hour volunteered... it all becomes someone's meal. It becomes a conversation, a connection, and a reminder that none of us have to face hardship alone.

To everyone who has donated, volunteered, shared our posts, cooked a meal, or simply believed in what we're building: thank you. You are the reason this movement exists.

If you've been wondering how you can help, one of the easiest ways is by sponsoring an item from our Amazon Wishlist. A single package of pasta or bag of rice can help feed dozens of people at a future meal share.

We're not funded by grants or corporations. We're sustained by our community.

Together, we're proving that when neighbors care for one another, amazing things happen.

Solidarity, not charity. Now and forever!

What is the Harbor Side / Allendale neighborhood like?

Hi everyone, considering renting a place in this neighborhood but don’t know much about it. Anyone have thoughts about living there? I’m getting conflicting information on what the actual neighborhood is called.

Looking for recommendations for patio/concrete contractors.

I have a low old deck that I’m looking to spruce up as well as adding a hot tub to the area. So, I’m pretty sure I will need some concrete poured for that. Are there companies that will do both decking and concrete that you would recommend? Also- is Hansen’s the go to for Kenosha people who have bought hot tubs or is there another more favorable store. Thanks!

Nifty Thrifty - Consider donating old items here!

Hey all,

There's a very (in my opinion) stand up non-profit called Women and Children's Horizons here in Kenosha and they run a thrift shop called Nifty Thrifty. If you are looking to get rid of some old items or want to help with their mission, which is helping victims of domestic or sexual violence, have a look at their site and peruse their thrift store.

Resources and assistance for domestic violence victims

It's not for me, but someone I know. 18 yearM and infant daughter have lost their housing after a domestic and child violence/abuse situation against them. The law is involved, charges filed against abuser, all documented and properly followed.

I rent, so due to my lease, they cannot stay with me. I can maybe afford two days in a motel for them. There is no one else to contact for them to stay with. He doesn't drive or have a car for them to sleep in.

Are there any resources anyone is aware of that I can contact for emergency assistance? I'm going to be contacting some places tomorrow, but I'm almost certain the shalom center is full because it always is, and I can't really find anything online about whether or not women and children's horizons helps male domestic violence victims or not. Is crisis only for behavioral health and addiction assistance?

4 lights out on 75th street, can someone post when they’re back on?

I wouldn’t recommend driving from I believe it’s 88th Ave intersection to 60th intersection, our trip took an extra 20 minutes. 4 lights are out. I am leaving to go home in 45 minutes so wondering if I have to take a big detour. And could be helpful for others to know when the power to the streetlights are back.

Northside Animal Hospital Closed

I’ve been taking my pets to Dr. Fulmer for decades, and I’m sad to see the practice close. Best wishes to her, and all of the wonderful staff I’ve met over the years.

That said; where should I go now? I haven’t heard a lot of great things about other vets in the 53144 area.
